    Re: Official NBA2K13 Association Thread

Im having hard time deciding which team to start my association with. Milwaukee or Charlotte. Im liking the young up-and-coming teams this year.

Charlotte - no team history, no identity, young, first year head coach, new suits lol nice storyline

Milwaukee - alot of limbo within roster, for the most part they are young, good guard play

    Im leaning more towards charlotte

          Re: Official NBA2K13 Association Thread

After overhauling the Magics once, I found out that I made some errors about my players, they weren't fit for my playstyle so I decided to do an overhaul, again.

          Trades:

          Magics: A. Afflalo(SG) + G. Davis(PF)
          for
          Bobcats: M. Kidd-Gilchrist(SF) + Desagana Diop(C)

-I don't even know if this is a fair trade but I decided to accept the offer. MKG would add a defensive presence on the floor and an athletic player who can run on both ends of the floor.
-Never been a fan of G. Davis and his huge CAP so I decided to let him go and A. Afflalo is a sacrifice I had to make.

          Magics: H. Turkoglu(SF) + N. Vucevic(C)
          for
          Hornets: R. Lopez(C) + R. Mason(SG)

-With MKG on SF, Hedo had to go together with his large CAP space.
-Lopez will add a defensive presence on the front-court and another formidable body on the glass. Mason will add another firepower to the outside shooters of the team.

          Signings:

          Signed K. Azubuike(SG) for 1yr/$2.50M
-Another great shooter and a good perimeter defender.

          Orlando Magic Roster:

          PG: J. Nelson / I. Smith
          SG: K. Azubuike / J.J. Reddick / R. Mason
          SF: M. Kidd-Gilchrist / Q. Richardson / M. Harkless
          PF: A. Harrington / A. Nicholson / J. McRoberts
          C: R. Lopez / D. Diop

-Not yet a champion a caliber team but a good starting team if you ask me. MKG is the future cornerstone of the team, Nelson and Smith would provide a good backcourt. Lopez can handle his own down-low, specially on the defensive side and Harrington still has a few tricks on his sleeves to put some buckets in. As usual, Reddick and the others are instant offense off-the bench.

So far Jazz are 6-9 in my association. The tough teams are behind us, the record should round out to .500

            ROSTER

Mo Williams: Averaging solid numbers, when I play other positions, Williams attacks, the only bad thing about Williams is he usually shoots first, passes later. 8.5/10

Alec Burks: A pure slasher, when the A.I. plays Burks, he constantly gets to the foul line, or makes layups or dunks. He is averaging 13 points as a starter. 7.5/10

Paul Millsap: The starting SF for us, Millsap is clearly second in command, as an A.I. player, he and Jefferson keep us in games at times. Millsap sadly may soon be leaving, as he is FA next year, he may get traded soon. 8/10

Derrick Favors: A defensive stopper when the A.I. plays as Favors, he is still raw offensively, but he impacts the game with 1.6 blocks a game. 7/10

Al Jefferson: Top dog, when the A.I. controls Jefferson, he simply dominates, and regularly gets 20+ performances. 10/10

Gordon Hayward: Sixth man, hurt his back, he is a do-it-all guy, as the A.I. he rarely shoots, leading to lower ppg than expected, he has solid assists and rebounds though. 5.5/10

Randy Foye: Sharpshooter, as A.I. he can punish teams from the 3 point line, he has an amazing 41 percent 3 point fg% right now. He is averaging 8.4 points in only 15 minutes of play as well. 7/10

Gary Forbes: I traded Marvin Williams and Earl Watson, as well as a second round pick for Terrence Jones and Forbes, Forbes was to make the trade work, but Forbes has been a solid A.I. teammate. 6.5/10

Jamaal Tinsley: He is simply there.... Even as A.I. Tinsley sadly doesn't get much done, I need a solid pass first point guard badly. 3/10

Enes Kanter: As an A.I. teammate, not as good as I would have hoped. 4/10

Mickell Gladness: Free agent who has done an average job at his position. 5/10

Kevin Murphy: While he doesn't get too much playing time, he still produces. Murphy is on the reserves list on the moment, but I keep swapping players around. 5/10

Jeff Adrien: A surprise, a free agent, Adrien is a hustle player, he won't get much points, but he will get rebounds, including offensive ones, as well as assists. A nice surprise, raw however. 6/10

Terrence Jones: A project, he still isn't a bad player, and he is solid defensively when the A.I. controls him. 6/10

Jeremy Evans: He broke his foot at the start of the season, anything could happen with him. ?/10

I would have traded milsap for a actual SF, also probably would have traded Williams for someone younger at the point. Sounds like you got some work to do to make the playoffs. Are you going to try to resign Jefferson?

Oh I misunderstood you! I thought you wanted a team based on the feel of the '01 Sixers, undersized scorer, great team D, gritty type of team.

Sorry homie, I dont know what to tell you. I guess just pick random teams with roster space and place them that way. I dont know, thats out of my juristiction lol

I can see trading Millsap, but him being at the 3 does give them a more bruising style. Seems like the paint would be crowded on the offense, but he could make it work. Being in the West though I dont know if he'd be able to keep up with OKC or LAL.

Well the regular season is over in my Bobcats Association. We ended 16-13, with the 5th seed in the East. We lost our last 4 games, we definitely didnt want to go into the playoffs like this, but it is what it is. We're playing TOR, who we lost to earlier in the year (Bargnani snapped! But revenge is a ).

Mike Dunlap (our coach) won Coach of the Year, I was going to fire him but..Firing the Coach of the Year really wouldnt be realistic.

Gm 1 vs TOR is next! (wont get to play until Fri night most likely)

Just keep switching your defense see what works the best, zone or man. Also see if double teaming Bargnani works....good luck..

I on the other hand am looking for a team to start a association with. I am bored with the Bucks. Looking for a middle of the read tam that has a piece or two, a big man and a good guard. with a great defender in there also...

Yea, Im not too worried about Barg, in a 7 game series I dont think he'll be much of a problem. I want to see how he comes out before I make any adjustments. I have been running the 2-3 zone occasionally, but only sparingly.

What happened with the Bucks, I just checked out your Dynasty this morning.

ive played some online team up and liked playing as the Pacers and Toronto. they both need work but have some good pieces to start with. Pacers u got Granger, Paul George, Hibbert, and a fun Gerald Green to come off the bench and get some highlight dunks.

Toronto is crappier but at least u got a good point in Lowry, a good guard in Derozan, and Bargnani who has godly range. u can develop Landry Fields and build up SF play.

ive been tempted myself to do the pacers since 2k9 but i cant tear myself away from my nuggz...and now the "denver" knicks too lol

i wanna do it with my fav team denver.. but that team is already stacked .. so it wouldnt b fun rebuilding... i also thought about picking the bobcats.. but they are horrible... idk i might start a bobcats one for the challenge...

Im doing one with the Cats now, but theyre are plenty of teams that are a challenge to rebuild (as long as youre playing on difficulty thats realistic for your level of play).

ORL - Bad contracts, no pieces to trade
ATL - You got Smith, but eh..thats it really
TOR - Some pieces, but by no means a contender yet
GS - Same as TOR, not a contender yet
                                MIL - Same
                                DET - Same
BKN - Yes, the Nets. Theyre pieces dont really compliment each other IMO
                                NO - Obvious rebuilding project
DAL- Yes, theyre rebuilding. Still waiting on some big FA to sign there
SAC- IMO theyre a mess, and have no direction. But they do have talent
NYK - Just because theyre a playoff team doesnt mean you cant have fun building them to be more
DEN - get them over the mediocre hump

To be honest, as long as your playing on a skill level where your not winning EVERY game by double digits any team would be fun to play with IMO
Rather than complain about life, take responsibility and do something about it..
