CHA Association Year 2 Update..Major moves at the deadline..BIG THANGS POPPIN!

Ok fellas, so I made a mistake in the last update. We had 2 games before the Allstar break!

1st game was against MIN, they bullied us the whole game and snapped our 7 game win streak. D.Williams was an absolute monster on the block, Rubio had Kemba in foul trouble early and often. And at the end of the day this was just one of those games we just didn't have it. When B.Mullens is our leading scorer (24pts) we know something is off!

Then we played MIL, and it was back to business as usual. Kemba and the boys woke up and stomped the Bucks out!

Now to roster moves we made during the Allstar break!

First off we signed TMac to add some veteran experience and size to our backcourt for the playoff push (more long bodies to throw at LeBron, great back up PG,SG,SF)

THEN, PHX offered Wes Johnson (unhappy), '15 2nd rd pick, and '14 1st rd pick for..

Henderson (been thinking about moving him), D.Murphy (bum rookie), R.Cross (Rookie SG A potential rating, 60 ovl), and '14 2nd rd pick.

I thought about this a long time (2 beers) and accepted! This trade gives us more size on the wing AND Johnson's contract is up at the end of this year, so its more cap room. Plus we get some good picks for the draft (that I will most likely trade on draft day).

These moves I think prepared us for the upcoming playoff push. MIA has woken up and is on a tear! For those of you that followed last year you know we had the #3 seed last year at the Allstar break and ended up falling to the #5 seed. We definitely dont want that this year! Heres the new roster

Now 5-4 with grizzlies since we won three straight games vs okc,min and sac. Gay still is very dominant and im now learning to use bayless and conley and take advantage of zbo and gasol in the paint. Next up vs knicks!

Im still using the all star sim sliders and no changes yet. At first i tried to move randolph but good thing i still didnt pull it off as im surprised that he is quite strong in the paint has an outside jumper. Only weakness is his post defense.

So before trading him, try to play hi first. Maybe you will also change ur mind in moving him

Rolled out a new slider set last night, very satisfied with the result so far. I beat the Heat 106-93 (as the crowd chanted M-V-P for rookie Shabazz Muhammad who scored 40 on the Heat) and then faced Miami at their place, where I got curb stomped 110-88 (Shabazz and Nerlens Noel were great, the rest of my team was not, lol).

I'm hoping to finally have found a slider set I can use consistently.

Nice to see a Cavs assoc pop up. one of the underdogs ive thought about rebuilding. keep us posted.

Nuggets now 7-5 and Knicks are now 7-1

We had my best test coming up...the reason i like having 2 teams in the same world. midseason matchup of my Nuggz (6-4) vs Knicks (6-1)....yea buddy! i decided to control the Nuggz since they have the worst record of my 2 teams and quite frankly they need the win more.

We did make a trade i wanted to make earlier in the season but couldnt make it work. Rockets had Jajuan Johnson PF 70ovr with B- pot. at the time they wouldnt make a deal i wanted so i gave up. however i checked the transaction news and Rockets ended up trading Johnson for JJ "floppin azz" Barea. So i went at TWolves to see if i could make it happen. i was able to.

Corey Brewer SG/SF 69ovr with C+ potential 26yrs old
'14 2nd rd pick (from Koufos to Hornets trade)

for

Jajuan Johnson PF 71ovr with B- potential 23yrs old??

WIN-WIN. Nuggz get another big man who has some better offense on the bench. Wolves get a versatile SG/wing who has A perimeter d, an expiring contract, and also a sure to be high 2nd rd pick that i got from the hornets for Koufos. I wont have any picks in the 2014 draft tho, but i do have 2 1st in the 2013 draft so i shouldnt really need anything in 2014 anyway.

well we start the game and all is going well. i was fouling my butt off in the paint tho. Chandler was going in on me with rebs and ugly points. Shump was out there feeling it. Melo we kept quiet in the 1st half. he only had 9 at half. Stat was feasting tho. i had Lawson Iggy and W. Chandler going. but man in that 2nd half, Melo unleashed on us. this dude scored 21 2nd half points! i couldnt stop him and they had a run that was crazy in the 3rd. best i could do was cut the lead down to 10 and take that loss. just goes to show we aint ready and will no doubt make the playoffs but be early exits unless we get favorable matchups. on a bright note my new pickup J. Johnson fit in great at C and PF and got 8pts!

2nd game VS 76ers who are 5-3

not alot to say in this one except the nuggz took out their frustration from the knicks game and used it to beat up on the 76ers...kinda like a notice to everyone else to not get it twisted. Faried was the player of the game with a nice dbl dbl. 15pts 13rebs. Jajuan Johnson got in and got 7pts to keep us happy for the new trade. Lawson and Iggy were their normal selves. Galinari dropped 11pts. Jordan Hamilton got 10pts on extended minutes. Wayne Ellington finally got some minutes due to the thrashing and got a few points. think i may resign him just for depth...maybe. gotta take him into practice to get his j down. i know he can shoot cuz he has A outside shooting. ive only played with him in the last 2 games tho since he arrived with the Jerryd Bayless trade, cuz Quincy Miller is out with a headache LOL

i posted this in another thread as well, but maybe you guys can give me some more/different insight.

i'm sure this has been discussed before, but i just joined and was looking for a little feedback.

i'm going to start an association with my magic, post dwightmare (thank god) and hopefully rebuild them to a contender in the near future.

anyone have any ideas on moves i should make? i have a few in mind..

i want to move turk, honestly i could care less what i get for him..i just want his salary off my books. possibly the same with harrington, or should i just ride out the season and wait for free agency? i'd like to keep jj but if a deal comes up i wouldn't necessarily be opposed to shipping him out, same as jameer from this standpoint.

i really like the young core of vucevic, moore, jones, harkless and nicholson.

oh and i'm looking to move big baby as well.

just looking for some feedback on potential trade partners? anything you guys have seen that has worked?

Usually I try and package big baby and jammer for something, doesn't matter just get them away, then I sign Johnny Flynn in free agency. He always does good for me. This is if you aren't looking to contend right away that is

OMG the funniest thing to ever happened to me in this game had to have just happened. I just started a association with the 98 lakers (moved current Kobe to a classic team, moved the rest of the roster to teams that could use them/free Agency).

I was about 2 minutes into the game, running a set play, and Shaq set a screen on Mo Williams and LAYS him out. He ends up squeeling on the floor holding his shoulder immediately. He now is out with a torn labrum (shoulder) for 2-4 weeks. INJURED WITH A SCREEN! Lmao.

Has this ever happened to anyone?

Best part of the post! alot of ppl in here seem to do just that...have a dynasty team after 1 offseason, which of course they simmed up to. if u skip the growing pains, whats the point IMO. u winning without ever going thru the contrast of sucking or being mediocre.

Why not?Veterans get traded like that all the time.

Look at Gearld Wallace he got traded basically for a 1st round pick.

Stephen Jackson for RJ and 1st round pick

Veterans with high salary that don't fit the team or if they going in a different direction normally get traded like that.

Nothing wrong with Hedo for a 2nd rounder a contender would take him or a middle of the pack team would.

What Leandro Barbosa get traded for last year?Just a second pick happens all the time.

Best part of the post! alot of ppl in here seem to do just that...have a dynasty team after 1 offseason, which of course they simmed up to. if u skip the growing pains, whats the point IMO. u winning without ever going thru the contrast of sucking or being mediocre.
