But it provides option. I don't want the ones who just want to win now to feel cheated, but i also don't want the ones that don't give a **** about blacktop online to have to endure what the others want. If that option is there, there's more ppl happy!

p.s. online blacktop isn't a MMORPG. it's a bring your character to a online game. It doesn't need to be equal progression levels or anything.

        Re: Virtual Currency frustration

Just for fun, I decided to add up the price of every item in one specific team's closet (practice jerseys, hats, arm bands, etc.). And if all you want to do is own all the video game gear of your favorite squad, it'd cost nearly 60,000 VC.

My issue with that is it creates a situation where there's likely going to be a very significantly high portion of unlockables in the retail version of the game that will never see the light of day for any given user. And while I may not lose sleep over not being able to afford a Charlotte Bobcats fadeaway snap back, I think there's something a little off about the price of each product. I think on one hand there's making users work for what they unlock, and then there's making folks choose between the impossible. The grand total of each team's goods (just Team Apparel, not premiums or accessories): approximately 1.8 million VC.

I play alot of 12 minute online games and I get alot of VC after playing them.

I could bank out on all my VC and have like 45 VC left, after about 3 online games I have like 2,000.

Not sure if people realized thats a good way to gain VC.

I love the VC system. I mainly play online matches & that gives u 250 for rank matches. But for you My Career guys I think it would be better if u get 100VC by default just for playing a game & 2k should add what u earned at the end.

            Example: Key game. You earned 75VC 2x = 150 + completing match 100 = 250.

I'm sorry this may be the worst idea ever added to a sports game. Why am I receiving something in one mode that can greatly impact(really at all) a completely different mode? I can't think of one good reason. This is clearly them trying to justify selling us VC. The "You can aways earn extra VC" cover-up.

I don't care about them coming up with ways to extract extra revenue, but this is IMO is such a terrible way to go about it.

I like how the system works outside of MyCareer, just dislike how little VC is given in the game mode itself... Maybe when my player starts it'll get better, but that's my feelings so far.

Going along with everybody else this is terrible for the consumers. Let's see, after doing the math, even doing the fastest way possible to get VC (6 Pick-Up games at 150 per game so 900 VC an hour), you would still need an crazy 16 hours and 40 minutes just to get 15,000 VC which costs a total of $5. Is 16 hours and 40 minutes worth something you can get for $5? They are basically forcing you to pay for VC unless you want to waste that much time on something incredibly meaningless. And 15,000 VC doesn't even get you very much. I'm very disappointed in 2k. I refuse to pay a dime because it just enables them to continue this mockery.

Ranked matches take 45 minutes to an hour. 250 VC gives you exactly nothing. It's basically giving you the equivalent of less than a penny worth of VC per game.

Sorry, but if $5 is too much, this might not be the right hobby for you.

@illini Rank matches take at most 30mins. Only 5min qtrs. 5x4=20min where did the extra 25 & 40 mins come from?

                        Lol, what? Seriously?

I got enough money to buy 100 xboxes and 1000 copies of 2K13 but does that mean I'm also willing to spend extra money to get VC? No because I don't like getting ripped off.

Ok even so. You're getting 500 VC an hour. What exactly does that buy you? Steve Novak for your MyTeam? Wahoo. You'd have to play 80 ranked games just to purchase ONE gold player for your My Team, equaling 40 hours of play time. Have fun with that.

You missed the point. We spent $60 on the game. I want to enjoy the offline version of the game but I'm not able to without spending $20 extra on the game. It's the principle of the matter rather than the actually money. Let's say you bought new shoes, but to actually run in them, you have to spend $20 extra dollars. Seem fair?

@illini519 im not a My Team gamer so I see your point to those guys but I make people quit online = easy VC & playing with lower ranked teams can lead to more VC, played good team ball with Raptors, beat Heat got 360VC from 1 game.

I don't know how you guys are getting so little VC. Every time I play an exhibition game in MyTEAM I get around 650 VC. Those games take like, 30 minutes tops? So that means I get 1300 VC in one hour of gameplay.
