    Re: Virtual Currency frustration

Guys wanted it to be tougher and take longer to develop their players, well there ya go.

To me it's kinda like real life. If I work and work to earn money(VC) and instead of spending that money to purchase a membership to a local Y to hit the court with/against a higher level of talent or pay for a bball camp to learn and practice skills, I buy a new shirt, a new arm sleeve and a pair of earrings then I'm still stuck playing on the warped rim at a neighborhood park and still running with and against scrubs, there's no way for me to get any better. If this makes any sense.

You gotta prioritize your earnings. I earn 2000 VC, I upgrade 2-3 stats by 5 points, the next VC I earn goes to an accessory.

Say "No" to railroaded MC modes.

Anybody worked out how much VC you get for each gametype and the conditions involved?

Obviously My Career fluctuates per game depending on performance.

Online Association games i haven't been getting any VC which is disapointing as i play that mode a lot.

How much for Quick Games / Offline Assoc. Games / Variences on whether you win/lose???

I only read the first few posts but in my few times playing it does seem tough to earn meaningful VC.

The clothes should come a bit cheaper. Or salaries should be higher. Its like a rookie making 1M a year and then buying a sweater for 250k. LOL

Attributes, animations should be earned through somewhat of a grind. I think that is fair. It adds some replay value.

Not clear on legends thing. I have done it twice and than it was a good help. I am hoping you can do that every year so you get a nice category bump each year. Kind of like working on a skill in the offseason.

That's when my frustrations with VC come in, the games we lost has always been do to one person having brought a ton of VC and maxed his player out. While we play the game to earn that 99 someone can just by past all of that work and max his player out.

So yes even tho you play the game and earn VC. you'll never have as much as someone that buys the VC packs. The vc we do earn while playing the game isn't enough so, I don't see how you can defend this VC system.
Pay to win is a horrible idea, especially in a game you just paid 60 bucks for.

Now I don't think paying for vanity items is necessarily a bad thing, while making others work a little harder for them-- but it *absolutely* should not have been allowed for players to max out overnight in an online competitive game.

It discourages people from actually *playing* the game-- both in working through the modes to earn VC, and in even bothering to deal with guys who paid for their characters straight up. That is bad mojo for a game.

Buying VC is an option and a good one IMO. I'm to impatient to grind, and I want my player to have immediate success, that's how I enjoy the game. With that said, yes I have spent MY money on VC, and I'm still horrible, but it's fun. I work a full time job and between 2k13 and Madden, I just don't have time to grind it out.

COMEON GUYS...THERE'S AN EASY WAY OUT FOR EVERYTHING..

Just create a save and use "save and exit" starategy to make sure you get top stats in the Rookie Showcase, A+ teammate grades, hack a triple double.. and make sure you save the game often in the 4th so you save right before the game end.
Then you would probably get a tons of VCs like 400+ or even more.
wait till after the interviews and once you get to the mock draft the VCs will get uploaded to the server and you can see the amount..

QUIT THE GAME AND RELOAD THE SAVE FROM THE ROOKIE SHOWCASE WITH PROBABLY SECONDS LEFT. WHOLE THING WOULD TAKE PROBABLY LIKE 2-3MINS.

EARN EARN EARN VC AGAIN BABY!!!

Does earning Virtual Currency only work when you are connected to Xbox Live or PSN?

I'm guessing yes because it only increases right after the screen that says uploading to server.

Yep. Just played a mycareer game where my guy did really well and got a couple of milestones. Was connected to PSN at the start but got disconnected midway through the game. Tried reconnecting but it wouldn't work. When the game finished I didn't receive any of my earned VC. In fact, none of my VC even showed up on the screen. I thought "okay, when I finally log on then the VC will be recorded on my account." Tried connecting to PSN and when I eventually was able to log on, none of the VC I earned was put in my roll. Needless to say I was pretty fumed at that. Poor design decision = yes

This happened to me too yesterday, and i wasn't able to log into the Mycareer server all yesterday even though I was connected to PSN. Really is frustrating that an offline mode has to be tied so much to online.

                          We talkin about accessories, accessories...

It's day freakin 4 and yall wanna unlock the whole caboodle lol

Who cares if some guy paid $$ to power up their my player. that's his decision. We gonna be playing this game all year so eventually your VC points will add up. This stuff is all extra and luxury anyway. I'd rather have this (my player autosaved on servers) if it means no cheaters. I am happy to say I haven't run into any 60 ft jolly green giant monsters while playing dozens of 3on3 blacktop games. Good job 2K.

I look at my player online.... 2K10 hackers. 2k11 hackers. 2k12 no online my player. 2k13 is where it's at babbehh!! We finally have some incentive to play this mode ANDDDD in a CHEAT-FREE environment. Good job.

What sucks is that 7 foot 2, 300+ pound centers can have 99 speed this year. Not 100% sure but if you go onto NBA Create a Legend, the maximum speed for Shaquille O'Neal is 99. They cost the same amount of skill points as it does for a Point Guard aswell.

For my player? THat sucks if true. But I gotta an all-around PF and I think his max quickness is 75 and max speed is 90 (if that), not sure.
