Half of those tools are for Xbox and PC. I have yet to come across a tool for PS3.

2k please don't change it back to the old way! I get a lot of steals because I know how to steal! These people who are complaining that they foul out, well stop REACHING! There's an art form to it so figure it out! It's about timing! Please don't change this!

I like how they've tweaked it and I've yet to experience a call EVERY time the steal button is pressed like I've been reading on here. My player is only rated 67 for stealing but I've definitely gotten a few on-ball steals since the patch.. Of course I've had my share of reach ins called (RARELY after pressing it once), but that's the risk/reward of on ball stealing. By using a mix of the right stick, the L trigger, and the occasional steal button, I havent seen too many fouls or too few on ball steals, and hopefully they won't change this, I think the game is playing really well.

Not sure what difficulty or mode you are playing on but I have 99 steal rating on my career and I play HOF sim and it's a foul almost every time I press the button...I like that it doesn't let spammers get away with that stuff but I think they went a little bit too far

Does anyone know if this has an effect on my career blacktop online? There isn't fouls so do spammers still get away with it?

I just had a game with 7 steals, 3 where on ball steals and not one reach in call. You have to know when to steal and who you can steal from. Also just having your hands up will get you steals without any worry of getting reach ins.

People can not say that the reach in fouls is unrealistic because people do not sit there and reach in the NBA.. that is corny people used to sit there and spam the steal button and get no call I am glad it is like it is. I play the ball correctly i hit the steal button on the ball and if I do not get it I do not spam the button like some people do. Keep it how it is post patch there are other things that need to be focused on such as Online Association which still has all of the same glitches as last year and then some.

Keep it the way it is. The only people complaining about are people who just spam the steal button. It penalizes people who spam steal.

I have to disagree with it being more realistic, i mean when the CPU is starting to get called for what appears to be a legit steal it has to have gone a tad far, i'm not a steal spammer but i have noticed since the patch whenever i attempt to steal the ball from a player performing dribble moves (i have Pick-pocket) its always a foul, the only way to get steals is through a block or passing lane steal

Reach ins are fine it's about time 2k addressed the reach-in situation, I wonder how many people have played for a actual basketball team because the refs do call a reach-in foul for hacking the players up, Which many people do on 2k and often got away with

People keep posting about spamming the steal button, obviously spamming was an issue and has been addressed. The issue now is whether they went too far with the rate of fouls when you attempt a normal NBA type on ball or double team situation steal. On HOF I think they did go a bit too far, again I am not talking about spamming the steal button. I'm talking about recognizing the opportunity for a steal and pressing the steal button ONE time.

The fact is guards do not get ripped. The only time you are going to see an on ball steal is when someone is not paying attention and/or they get blind sided.. If show me a clip of someone swiping and missing at a player than hey I stand corrected but, people do not swipe at the ball on 2k thats why they get reaching fouls if you swipe at the ball you still rarely get reaching fouls but, people are looking for an animation steal and complaining. If you reach at the ball you will not get called for a foul if you do not make contact with the player

how about you fix the teamate defense for mycareer.. my teammates cant defend anyone in hof or superstar difficulty.. i cant guard 5 ppl out there
