This game is perfectly sim.

It rewards users who play good solid basketball. Again HOF 12 Min Sim is gets you a realistic game.

Momentum is honestly perfectly fine? Over powering? Do you guys in this thread watch basketball? Over powering momentum happens everynight in the NBA. Am I the only one on this forum who watches basketball every night? I know I'm not the only one that watches games that turns into blow outs because "the other teams momentum was to over powering)

It happens in real life teams gains momentum and they just build upon it. Your best bet is to play solid D, and try to run a set play getting you a good look at the bucket.

It again proves my point people play this game scream it's to hard, but when there not calling timeouts and constantly adjusting. Like the OP claimed momentum is overpowering then soon as Coach 2K gives him tips he obviously wasn't using he became neutral.

Alot of people loose at this game because they flat out just don't understand basketball(I'm not knocking the OP) but it's true. They swear they know everything about the sport, or think they mastered 2K and think they have no room for improvement when in actuality they do. It's ridiculous.

Man up, stop blaming the game take your losses and learn from the them. You think I becmee good at this game by complaining to OS things are over powered or broken etc? No, I got my *** beat, blown out again and again learned from my mistakes increase my knowledge and understanding of basketball and it put me in the position where im at today.

A great 2K player who is also a great 2K coach.

Everyone complaining about bobbled passes, missed layups, missed dunks etc. Do you guys watch basketball? Bobbled passes, missed layups, missed dunks, missed high % wide open shots brick EVERY SINGLE NIGHT IN THE NBA.

Seriously son the amount of bitching and complaining on this forum is crazy b smhhhh.

AllStar, JWilliams, Lakeshow, many others: I cannot tell you how much I've enjoyed this thread. I play almost exclusively offline, but you guys make me want to get back online with some SimHeads.

I love the points made by you guys and enjoy the constructive criticism made by both sides. I hate the haters, and love the guys who love basketball. Keep it up fellas.

In MyCareer mode (which is you vs the CPU) HOF level stats seem to be off quite a bit; consensus in the MyCareer thread is that Super-Star or All-star turns out to be more realistic.

This is just so those that play MyCareer understand there is a difference between online and their play.

What bothers me isn't the fact that he's calling out sim players, but that he's somehow associating playing sim basketball on a VIDEO GAME with the ability to infer and recognize what's happening on a REAL LIFE NBA court.

P.S. Trained with NBA player Vladimir Radmanovic as 15-year old in Montenegro and he laughed about how people on message boards (he called them 'jarheads' which means geeks with big glasses) try to spew garbage as if they recognize what happens on an NBA court.

When you guys see a team playing zone, it's not "to change things up", it's because the analysts on the team realized that the team they face that night has trouble shooting from specific locations so teams funnel them there. Stats are compiled from **HUGE** databases and they literally have millions of data points to pick and choose from.

EDIT: I'll continue to play "sim" with my friends with 5 minute quarters, but once again, thanks for "calling us out" (because there sure isn't anything better to do during Christmas break, amirite?)

So people can't have knowledge on what happens in the NBA. I agree most people don't know exactly everything or knows in depth what happens on the NBA court. But trust me when I say know.

Nice thread OP. I myself wish I had a 360 to play you to learn better Sim basketball. However, I have a PS3 and I don't know of too many hardcore or even just semi-sim players I'm not the biggest "SimHead" but I do like to play realistically, and run plays (well, let the CPU call my plays and run them), I do make my defensive adjustments and adjust coach sliders as the game progresses. I'm not the best, but I have fun, so that's all that counts.

As to those criticizing the OP, it's really redundant. That's how he plays and he's sharing his thoughts, no need to get all butt hurt because someone plays a game differently from you. I don't play hardcore like he does, but I can see where his frustration is coming from.

Anyways, like I said, good thread man, I enjoyed reading all the posts from the other players to help improve my game.
