Stephen curry is immensely underrated in the passing and overall playmaking dept.

He is. He's also a fan of the flashy pass.

He's cut it down lately to reduce silly turnovers though. I'd like to see what the baseline success of a flashy pass is. If it's solid when you have good pass ratings and it's a smart pass, Steph doesn't need the sig skill.

If a flashy pass is difficult to complete with the skill, the Steph should probably have it-- but he's already got a bunch of skills he justifies having and close to his limit:

Shot Creator
Spot Up Shooter
Heat Retention
Pickpocket (although I don't think he really needs it -- he's borderline for this unless they reduce its effectiveness)
Corner Man (which he can get by without if you just rate his 3 point rating accurately)

I'm talking about passing skill, anyone with his speed (you could even subtract this), his minutes, and ball dominance can average 8 assists.

actually the speed thing just makes harder because noone can keep up with him...stephen curry for example cant do that with the same amount of minutes and even 6mpg more last year and neither can westbrook with the best scorer in the league...

He's not bad at picking pockets and sniffing out steals. He just can't stay in front of faster guards and gets bulldozed by bigger ones.

He's definitely on the lower end of Steals per Game of guys who had the skill. (1.7)

Stephen curry and Westbrook don't have the same ball dominance as John Wall, you said it yourself John Wall has/had a garbage team. Stephen Curry shares the ball with people who create their own shots: Jarrett, Lee, and Bogut gets his off the rim. Westbrook shares the ball with an ISO scorer in KD, with the only decent shooter being Kevin Martin who went to Minny. John Wall has the ball a lot more than they do.

Norris Cole...Finisher? Acrobat? He's shooting 50% around the rim. Do you know who else can do this? Everybody. I mean Jose Calderon never shot worse than 50%. That's right. Calderon is a better finisher than Norris Cole. Much better. Even Grandpa Miller was shooting 63% around the rim last year with the Nuggets. And you want to give a completely average finisher 2 special abilities?

James Ennis...hasn't played a single game against NBA competition...and you give him 5 special skills?

Greg Oden...2 seasons of 0.5 and 0.9 assists per game. Yeah, sounds like a playmaker...

Jarvis Varnado...has played 13 games so far. You give him finisher...and hoopdata tells me he hasn't even made a single basket for the Heat at the rim.

Signature Skills are powerful and should not be given out that easily to a player that is not deserving or "you think should have it". I really hope this year they give an option for us to take OUT signature skills instead of adding more.
