everyone has the right to complain when they want to invest $60 dollars into a sport they love. going by your logic, we should be happy if they decided to re-release a 1995 NBA game since its basketball and at least we have it.

No, i can complain when im also a customer. No one is going to sit there and take whatever is fed to them so stop the bull****. I am a basketball lover and for the pass 4 years i've been fed naturally the same game with the same animations, spread with a few new features here and there, every year people expect new things and get disappointed. The "new feature" of actually being able to block dunks is beyond laughable since we are in 2013 already. It's the same BS animations that don't allow blocking to even commence in the first place. something that took them how many years to fix? all this stems from no competition.

And it's not like we can vote with our money and choose the competition because there is no competition. So we have a habit to fulfill with only one game to fulfill it with.

2k better hope that live is garbage because it's about time for another company to step in and listen to what fans are looking for.

In comparison, i don't hear any complaining from the GTA scene; wonder why?

But so far its complaining based off alpha footage, not real info.

If this crew mode is as lame as it seems , that's where my time and money are going. That looked incredible

tell me about it. I would love to play a basketball game but not the same 2k13 with a few enhancements. I got rid of 2k13 in earlier June, something i never did with a 2k game. But after watching GTA it looks like any time i have will be dedicated to that as well.

But so far its complaining based off alpha footage, not real info.

thats nice and all, but i've been reading the same statements for a couple years now, and nothing ever changes. So when i read crew mode current gen only, it means exactly that. When i see crew mode mentioned and blacktop in the background, it's exactly that. you can wait for the information but they are giving it to you now.

Maybe I would be if I bought 2k14 and noticed they did it . But they hyped it sooo much and called It crews , then bragged saying they listen to their fans and said come at me bro and stuff like that.

Plain and simple , this isn't crew .

They should rename is squads or just ew . Cause it's really only half the game mode

Sadly no. With no 3 seconds in the paint every crew is going to have a big guy just sit under the basket (like 2k13 blacktop). They are going to drive and just pass it to him for an easy dunk.

I have heard no info that 5v5 Crew is in an arena (from Ronnie2K), that's the only credible source I'm gonna listen to.

So if 5v5 is on Blacktop, it doesn't necessarily mean there won't be fouls, but it probably means: no uniforms, everyone being called by the same corny nicknames, ridiculously jacked up shooting percentage, no playbooks, no 3 seconds?, oh and don't forget VC...so people will just have 99 overall big men shooting 3's and with handles and all that.

It's like, I love 2K..but as of 2K12 their improvements in gameplay hasn't really been equal to improvements in other areas. Being able to buy VC kinda ruins the whole fun of Crews and the whole entire point of My Player.

This will probably be the first year I buy Live AND 2K, even though Live probably has mediocre gameplay compared to 2K, I doubt they won't have the Crew Mode we expect from 2K.

How do you know what rules will and will not be enforced in the 5v5 Crew mode?!?

That's what gets me: some drops and assumption or question, and rest of you go off of it as if 2K made some official statement of fact. Then you got those crying that "2K hyped this and that, but they knew this isn't Crew". Well, technically, THEY made the game and the mode, so THEY decide was defines what Crew is. And I bet it has nothing to do with the venue. But, lord, if you guys don't like the olive branch, then just don't buy it. Jeez. The ONLY reason I didn't play 2K11 Crew as because of the hackers. Those are gone, so I'm going to be all over this one.

I agree with you that the VC will definately lead to a large amount of teams with 99's right out of the gate. And that is definately lame. However, that is really the least of my worries about crew; because with the amount of money 2K can earn from VC sales the VC model will never go away. We're just gonna have deal with it. Besides, if the game turns out to be alot of fun, who's to say that most of us on here won't be up to 99 ourselves within a couple of months.

Close yet so far. If you play this game religiously for a few weeks, you'll get to 99 pretty quick. I don't mind if people expedite the process, just if dudes are trotting out 8 ft Allen Iversons with a mohawk.

thats where you're wrong. WE decide because WE are the ones PAYING with OUR MONEY. if we didn't have a bunch of bend overs who take anything they can get, maybe we wouldn't be complaining because we would get what we want. Maybe you all settle for whatever because of no competition, and i would certainly not buy it if i didn't like basketball or if i had another basketball game to buy. Truth is i like basketball and it just so happens that 2k is the only maker right now so my hands have been tied.

Good thing is i have something to fall back on (GTA) this year and check back next year to see if they cleaned up their act.
