I just popped in NBA 2k13 after 4 years. Controls are so different I had no idea what I was doing lol.

2k13 is amazing. I just started playing my career in 2k16 and I think 2k16 has the best gameplay the series has ever seen. Player models are spot on too. Previous gen I got a soft spot for 2k12 and 11 but it's hard to ignore the greatest that 2k13 offered .

I think NBA 2K13 is. So many great features. The only thing bogging it down is Jay-Z being the executive producer for the game.

I have to admit , I can't stand Jay-Z but I honestly loved the 2k13 soundtrack. They mixed up others that imo were awesome like Daft Punk and Coldplay. Def some atrocious songs , but overall enjoyable soundtrack. 11 and 12 had the best sounds imo and 14 up there too. IN The Air Tonight is my favorite song of all time

The only 2K basketball game I have tried is 2K6. After reading this thread it looks like 2K11 is worth a shot. Hopefully the difficulty level is not too high. Some of the reviews I have seen elsewhere suggest 2K11 is tougher than other games in the series.

2K11 is an amazing game - it's the only one I play. Unfortunately we don't have any current rosters but there are a TON of hardwood classic files here. Do a search for what you're looking for. Regarding difficulty - you can make many adjustments. If you have struggled with this, I would suggest starting at PRO level - and then making adjustments. I've done a TON of tinkering with sliders - I have a set here that is still being developed (yes, 8 years later). But I have seen many new animations with a lot of the stuff I've done because the game really is driven on the animations. To get the latest files, you'll need a working knowledge on how to do the file transfers using Horizon. But I LOVE 2K11 and play it all the time.

Ah, I realized after reading your thread this would be for the PC version then. By hardwood classic files you mean mods, correct? I was actually considering the 360 version, but perhaps should reconsider that.

the classic files are for the 360. There are many year's worth and they are very well done. Complete seasons that provide endless gameplay.

Oh, ok then. Well that is fine too. Even though the 360 is last gen I like to play the games in the living room.

As realistic sportsfan i love nba 2k3 the most. Playing nba 2k19 for myteam but realism is totally gone

Is 2k8 really better than 2k7. 2k8 got torn apart. And besides better player faces, 2K7 looks like it has better graphics. 2k7 might be the best out of 2k7-2k10.

2k14 (not new generation 14) the old 2k on 360, PC and ps3. This is my new go to game, not to mention the ultimate team rosters you can do for MODS and pc gaming.

I have been back on MBA 2K14 for over a week. It is amazing how good the CPU AI plays. After they kept patching 2k23, I prefer the 2k14 alot more.

I don't want to judge 2K24 yet but if I had to pick a top 5 aside from 2K24

2K15 and 2K13. I put a ton of hours into those too.

IMO, 2K11-2K17 was a golden period for 2K. I put a ton of hours into all those games. I was a Live guy until Live 07 and that's when I switched to 2K
