2K11 will forever own my soul. I still run my Association to this very day. The rookie combine was awesome as well, I think a very underrated feature. I love playing through the summer league games.

2K11 was the only association I played in through entire seasons. I haven't been able to make it through a full season in 2K12, 13, or 14.

2K11 + MKharsh's sliders equals pure bliss.

2K11 is just still easily the best all around basketball game I've ever played. Not sure if it'll be surpassed anytime soon. The most fun I've had on any game.

Since this is my first posts, and I can't start threads yet, I figured this would be the thread to ask my question.

I used to be a huge NBA Live fan back in the day (the last I played was 2001..) and I'd like to get into 2K. Why I'm really interested in are the legendary players (Jordan, Magic, Bird, etc.) and would like to have access to them from the start, the ability to add them to any roster in a franchise mode, etc. I'd also like to be able to play with the best players, historically, for each franchise if that's possible (I believe I've seen some rosters like this)

Which 2K game would serve me best? If I'm not mistaken, 2K12 is the only game with Dr. J and Kareem, but it typically gets the worst reviews since the 2K11 upgrade.

2k11 was the best so far IMO

just because of the leap in improvements that year, not to mention the addition of MJ and the classic teams.I had the most fun with that association mode then any other 2k.

2K7 would have to come second and then 2k13 third.

I really hope they bring back the association mode for next gen because i hate mygm mode. I would rather just have the same association mode that is on current gen.

Yesterday i played to 2k12 because i tried something i had never done before, beat the 96 Bulls with the 96 Magic in a high level, Superstar.
It was a fantastic game.

Don't know...Most of the other games have been bull****...2k10 Not working online half a year. 2k12 not working online half a year and then offering this ****ed up online association with no pause button and so on. 2k13 was a step in the right direction after that, but gameplay sucked. 2k14 now has strange gameplay, too and they ****ed up things that worked in previous games in online association again (options do not save etc...).

I've really enjoyed almost every 2k since 2k7. I was a live guy before that. Only 2 games I just couldn't stand were 2k9 with the blocks being out of control and 2k12 with that cheesy CPU up and under offense all game, plus that horrendous soundtrack lol(jmo).

2K11 is definitely #1 for me and 14 is certainly 2nd. It's pretty tough after that. Being objective, it was probably 13 next but personally I enjoyed 10 and 8 more. I think partially because 13 couldn't match 11 I just couldn't move on from it. Plus they left crew mode up for a while. I'm not a big online guy but that was one of the best features ever.
