I had the most fun playing 2k13 and 2k9 (Kobe cover). In terms of which one was a better game, I have no idea.

I think NBA 2K13 is. So many great features. The only thing bogging it down is Jay-Z being the executive producer for the game.

Gotta be 2k11 imo. MASSIVELY improved gameplay, plus the introduction of classic teams and the Jordan challenge. That was back when it was possible to actually play defense against elite players. MyPlayer got a nice upgrade as well.

Jordan challenge was the only difference between NBA 2K11 and NBA 2K13 though. Otherwise, the games are both amazing.

cant remember which 2k was it but the best 2k was the one that had the left trigger for Defesesive stance .. defense went down hill when they took that out

Gameplay wise, nothing was as fluid as 2k8 was

2k11- Biggest improvement over previous years installment in my opinion
2k12- I didn't hate it as much as others but it certainly wasn't as innovative as NBA 2k11. Had kareem tho
2k13- Very fun game but was a bit unreaslitic (threes, lack of contact in the paint and inability to block dunks.)
2k14 (xbox 360, ps3)- Personally i found this game very boring and dry added some realism lacking from 2k13 but took out the fun. Can let it slide because it wasn't their main priority.
2k14 (XB1, ps4)- Terrific game much better than 360 and ps3 versions graphics and animations amazing.

Overall i'd say 2k11 based on how much of a step forward it was and just how fun it was.

I don't quite well remember beyond 2K12 and below it, but I think it was 2K8 which I started playing first,
Before, I played NBA Live 08, which was also a pretty good game, for that time at least, lol

I'd have to say 2K9 is the best, cause of the gameplay, which was pretty damn good.
And... 2K11 was quite good, but I don't really remember 2K12 or 2K10.

College hoops 2k8. I play that game for over two years. Every other basketball game bored me after two weeks.

2K11 was the best. Everything after that ties for absolute worst.

I easily had the most fun with 2k11. But that was mostly because of the myplayer 5v5 pickup games. I also miss the dunkstick: iirc pulling right was a strong hanging dunk, back was a reverse, left was a special dunk and up was a quick dunk. And of course the ability to choose between a left or right handed layup was huge (not sure if it's in 2k14, i've been avoiding the shotstick).

I wish we had the current servers back then.

Second would be 2k5 but that's probably because that was the year i made the transition from live to 2k.

Third: i think it was 2k8, either way the game that introduced the dunk packages. When they were called dunk 1, dunk 2, etc...

1. NBA 2K14- Best gameplay, especially online.
2. NBA 2K11- Introduced Jordan and the classic teams.
