Are spin layups removed because it was cheese?
The type of spin layup i have been able to perform are only those with a spin dribble attached to them.Real life spin layups are perfomed with the ball on the hands during the spin step(like in 2k13) not with the ball on the floor...

Hey guys, I was just playing a game and I was able to set a screen with a perimeter player but now all of a sudden I can't. Am I doing something wrong (360) LB + Button of player you want. Hold for length of desired pick?? It just won't even let me do it anymore, it just ignores it. Help please...

I'm pretty sure it's a random event you will get on open breaks. I did this one by just pressing turbo and the RS towards the Rim

Tap 'B' and then hold 'B' (for the SG) or 'X' (for the SF)...

Wow just realized we no longer have the option to pick what type of dunks we want to do, that was part of 2k since the beginning, 2k basically taking out everything that made them "2k"

Not a big fan of the screen button moving to "B." I'd need a controller in my hand, but I'm pretty sure screen was LB in 2k13. I really prefer screen being LB.

Anyone know if there is a way to switch the screen button back to LB? I glanced through the controls but didn't see anything.

Still no reply on the spin layups matter...Another problem is the stationary pass fake.Once you hit shot plus pass buttons the pass fake comes attached with a pump fake animation. Is it my user error or it should happen this way.

Pass fake in the post(one of the most usual moves in basketball) triggers a hop or dropstep once the pass fake ends.Pass fake beyond halfcourt...it's a nightmare ,full court shot goes up too...

This and the abscence of a realistic spin layup are my biggest problems with this game. It's a shame cause the game plays so nice ,we finally get to see some sim basketball from the get go and the control scheme is ruining some of the experience.

ive tried about 20 or so spin layups, all have dribbles.

please, someone figure out if sig layups are controllable or just random animations

How do we enter the triple threat stance? I couldn't figure it out, last night.

How do you play offball offense

How can I switch to another player on offense and let the cpu LeBron bring the court up for me. In 2k13 you could truly play offball in 2k14you cant, you can only make a certain icon come closer to you and move but you are still controlling the dribbler. I don't like that. If I can't play full offball, Im glad I rented this via the Redbox, I will wait for Ps4. Why would you go and change the a perfect system. I don't like having my player locked only on the dribbler. Someone please correct me if Im wrong

I think my main gripe is that 2k14 tries to automate various aspects of dribbling/shooting via the right stick. I wouldn't have a huge problem with that IF specific functions were available via a face button AS WELL, for instance mapping pro-hop to Y (or Triangle) ect, the same way that X (or square) is alternatively mapped to shoot.

In general taking freedoms/control away from the player and placing it into the hands of developer code and AI is rarely a good thing imo.
