    Re: NBA 2K14 Advanced Controls (PS3, X360)

So, I have seen the CPU run the baseline during an inbound pass after a made basket but can not figure out how to do it this year......Last year this was done by Holding LT and using the right stick to move.........Last year it was explained under passing in the advanced controls but this year it is no where to be found.......Did 2k possibly forget to include this for the user but leave it in for the cpu.......Also there is nothing noted in the controls about doing specific dunks......for instance twisting the right stick 360 does a spin dunk.......So is this year you just press towards the basket and it selects the dunk automatically........If anyone knows how or if you can do it let me know.

I saw a video on Youtube claiming that you can trigger 360 dunks by spinning LS immediately after inputting dunk command. Haven't been able to test this myself. If it's true, it makes me wonder if you can control other types of dunks in this manner.

Someone try it out. Drive toward basket...release LS right as you hit RT+RS..then immediately push the LS away from basket. If you get a backwards dunk we may be on to something....

What about running the baseline during an inbound pass after a made basket.........I have tried everything to do it and nothing works......I have seen the cpu do it this year but haven't been able to do it myself.......Also, there is NOTHING in the controls that tell you how to do it unlike 2k13 which had it under passing in advanced controls......Anybody out there noticed this or been able to run back and forth during an inbound pass?

Anyone know how to lean up or bend down in the post before starting your move? I've seen the animation so I know it's in there but I can't do it on command. Beluba? Somebody? Anybody? Simbah voice.

Is there any way to do face-up moves in 2k14? Shot clock gets low and I've got the ball on the wing, I'd like to be able to do that one dribble step back.

What exactly is the step through shot? I've been trying to do it in practice mode but haven't been able to trigger a unique animation. Is it like the pump fake lean in jumpers from 2k10, or is it triggered under/near the basket?

How do you run a pick and roll? In 2K13 it was L1 but that's the 2K Smart Play button now.

Some of these questions can be answered by doing the training camp.

Is there any way to change controls back to how there were in 2k13?

As in utilize the B button (Xbox) on offense for shot creation, while using LB to set picks?

what happens when you're driving to the hoop and press X? (on XBOX)
will I be able to make dunks/layups this way or am I forced to use the stick?

PS I think it makes really little sense to cluster everything (dribbling, passing, shooting) in the "pro" stick. I want to be able to choose

Can change it in the controls, iso/shot or vice-versa but note that you can't do flashy passes with the old controls.
