So after getting the Cavs the chip in my first season, we manage to get to the playoffs again as the second seed, only to be massacred by the Bucks in game 6 and 7. We lost by 20 and 10 respectively. Honestly, my frustrations with the team are a long time coming and asked to get the coach removed, because Mike Brown's playbook suck. I ended up getting traded to the warriors for Iggy (Lateral move for both teams. Iggy is better than me on defense and I'm now a scorer alongside the splash brothers).

I'm having a hard time getting David Lee and Chris Bosh making their open mid range shot. Both of them are missing wide open middies. And both can't get the ball in the bucket in the post. I know not every shot is 100%, but these are high percentage shots for both players. No reason they miss as much as they do. I've had yet to play with a Power Forward that got a double-double because they grab all the boards and miss everything when it comes to shooting.

Hey guys, just a quick question. I don't totally know my way around these boards yet so sorry if this is the wrong place, but I have a question specifically about mycareer, or a couple questions actually.

The first is is there any way to control how much I play? As it stands the coach is having me play almost the entire game which wouldn't be horrible but he's also having me play entire 2nd halves which completely drains my energy by about the middle of the 4th quarter because I get no rest. Once I played an entire 2nd half and then got benched for overtime I'm assuming because I was so out of energy. I don't want to play an entire half at a time. It wouldn't be a problem if it didn't mean my player gets completely exhausted... is this a problem for anyone else? Do I just need to up my stamina or tinker with some settings or something?

And second is what are the most realistic settings to play in mycareer? I have it on 8 minute quarters but my team is still averaging something like 70 points and if I have it on the 12 minute quarters then games will take something like an hour and a half at a time considering how much of the game I'm in..

Hopefully this is making sense, anyone have any advice or have the same problem?

First game as a starter on my center (my second one, first one was a bust so I deleted that file) on the suns and had 36-12-3 assists-4 blocks and 1 steal. Pretty promising.

If you guys haven't already, I strongly suggest deleting your MyCareer and start a new one using Trifecta Shoes roster.

There is a night and day difference in how your team plays as a whole. People attempt more shots and actually seem to know what basketball is.

Its been a blast being Chris Paul's SG and my second career as a point forward with the cavs. I highly recommend using rosters. I did change the suggested qtr length from 10 down to 8. Otherwise the scores were too high. 122-117 for example.

This game is far from perfect but with good roster set 70% of the problems go away or are improved. Far to much complaining about this mode IMO.

Hi everyone, thank you for your help!

I have been trying endlessly to end up on the Dallas Mavericks with a PG.

I have attempted the Rookie Showcase countless times with varying performance levels. I have reloaded the draft at each of those performances many times. Does anyone know if the Mavericks are a team that will never draft you?

With a developed career, I have asked for a trade as much as possible. The Mavericks have consistently been the most interested team. I started on the Jazz and got traded around several times, including to the Kings 3 times as well as back to the Jazz more than once.

I have gone through different methods explained earlier in this thread but with no success, specifically by raising my Team Chemistry and asking for a trade after I was a starter. In addition, I have changed my favorite team from the Mavericks to None.

Thanks for all of your help! I really really would love to start over and get drafted by them if possible.

(I am playing this on PS4. I posted this in the Next Gen forum as well, I hope there's no problem posting it in multiple popular forums)

My shooting guard was drafted to the Mavericks. My stats were 22 pts (52% FG), 8 rebounds, 1 assist, 3 steals, 2 blocks, and 3 turnovers. I think I would have gone higher, but the 3 turnovers killed my chances.

Manu just did a double dribble. my teammate made him pick up his dribble, he pump faked a few times and faked passes, and then started dribbling the ball and just sped to the rim and scored. no call either as if I had to clarify lol.

Quick MyCareer question, seriously hoping someone can answer:


If you're not the PG can you call for your teammates to go on a cut?



I've never really tried it before but I'm a SF that's looking to move into more of a Point-Forward role (averaging 7.1 assists so far in 10 games so it's working out alright), but whenever I follow the advanced controls directions (tap L1 and press the corresponding teammate icon and right stick to send your teammate on the cut)

NOTHING ever happens and it's frustrating. Anyone know how to do this on PS3? Or will it not work if I'm not a Point Guard?

I noticed I can't call players for specific teammates if I'm not a PG, so I thought maybe it's the same for calling for specific cuts.

After restarting my career about 3 times, I have finally settled in on a few players. All are still first half of rookie season if not first month. No bonus VC used, all sub 65 overall still.

- SG 3pt secialist (6'2 183)
Special Skills: None but planned (deadeye, closer, heat retention, lockdown D)
Jump shot specialist. Designed to be the greatest shooter in history. Tenacious on ball defender and stealer. Drafted to the Clippers and being CP's wingman has been so much fun. I give him about 5 or 6 assists a game and we feed great of each other. Highly recommend others try this out.

SF point-forward (6'5 209)
Special Skills: Planned (dimer, poster, lockdown D, gatorade,)

Built to be my all around player. Finding it hard to run the point so this allows me to be wingman or point anytime I want. Good at 3pt shot, dunk/layup, passing, rebounds and blocking. Hope to get a quad double at some point. Drafted by the Cavs and just had my best game ever. 21 pts, 5 assist/rebound/blocks. Not so much in pts but game high in everything else. 5 assists felt great and hope to improve in that regard.

- PF/C athletic (6'10 253)
Special Skills: Planned (rebounder, eraser, gatorade, brusier, finisher or hustle pts)

My pissed off defensive monster. Is there to control the paint, get rebounds and block shots. Will be a decent offensive threat but is geared towards defense. Drafted by the Pelicans but would love to make my way to the Warriors to team up with Iggy and Curry. Iggy and I would be a defensive force with him on the perimeter and me inside. Then watch Curry rain 3's.


All in all, I love this mode with downloaded rosters. My SF is becoming my favorite because of its versatility. I can play defense, 3pt wingman, Isolation dunker or run the point and dish out dimes.

On a fun note, I forgot to change the nickname during creation and my SF name is now The Waiter lol. I thought it was hilarious the first time I heard it, so decided to keep it.

"The Waiter, serving up assists and blocked shots on a court near you!". Very stupid/silly but I got a laugh.

Yes, that could be it. Honestly just go to the roster section of this forum and pick a highly rated one for ps3. I'm sure there is a ps3 one that is just as good if not better.

Just don't use the default rosters is basically the jist of it.

Trifecta's rosters doesn't work on the PC version, so I decided to use Meds Roster + Sliders. Needless to say, MyCareer has vastly improved because of it. Since PC has the ability to use sliders in MyCareer (through different means), playing this mode has become a blast. Decided to start a new player as a 6'9'' 235 Athletic Power Forward. I wanted him to be a LaMarcus Alridge\Blake Griffin hybrid and it's been successful so far. Got drafted 12th by the thunder (playing the rookie showcase as a PF is hell) and man this team is tunrt! Once I got the starting position, they slid Ibaka down to center and that's when the team came together. I saw KD completely go off against the pistons, scoring almost all of his points in the 4th. Just recently went to Jazz and busted them by 40. It got so bad, the coach sat every other starter down in the third. We're currently 10th in the league in scoring (100 a game), but our OPPG is 89.7. Everyone is playing defense and with Ibaka and I down in the paint, it's an absolute nightmare for the opponent team's bigs. Only player so far to give me trouble is Blake, but Portland is right behind us for first in the west and playing against LA is going to be a pain.

I'd strongly recommend if you're having any frustrations in MyCareer to go download rosters (if you own a console) or download the rosters and go over to NLSC to see how to unlock the sliders for MyCareer (PC).

I have Level 3 Floor General, Level 2 Finisher, Level 1 Clutch, Level 2 Shot Creator and just bought Level 1 Deadeye. I also have Level 3 Defensive Anchor, Level 1 Active Hands and Level 1 Acrobat on standby. Seems like Level 3 Defensive Anchor doesn't make much of a difference (maybe because I'm a PG?). Thinking about getting Heat Retention or Anti-Freeze in place of Shot Creator. Anybody have either of the Sig Skills? Are they worth buying?

I think Trifecta is currently only available on 360 although it looks like he, or another guy, would do a port over to PS3. So make sure you keep an eye on that post with any update.
