The only time I can get #1 overall is when LeBron is injured. I'll enjoy it while it lasts.

Is there any way to combat the coach playing you for 40+ minutes a game? I'm only a rookie and haven't put any points into stamina (it's at 85) and the coach has been playing me more and more, to the point where I'm playing 42 minutes a night. I get my 6 minutes off in the first half, but I play the entire second half, no breaks at all. It's very frustrating and it looks like I'm forced to not only max out my stamina attribute but also purchase the Gatorade prime pack to help with fatigue. Is there any way to ask the coach for less minutes other than by playing poorly?

Other than commit an intentional foul from time to time, nope.

The NBA Playoffs, where no lead is safe. But, I accept the challenge.

Any advice for someone starting a small forward mycareer on current gen? I'm not sure which build to go with, I heard athletic is the preferred one just for the speed boost. I want a Manu Ginobli type player (can shoot/pass/super crafty with the ball).

6'6" 230lb All-around SG on UTA. At the start of my 3rd season, I went to talk to my GM, and I see there's the option to let him know that I will be testing free agency this offseason. I definitely will.

so I'm thinking about going back to cg. Can someone answer this question?

Is there free agency on cg? I stopped playing cg to get the release ps4 and 2k14...but there's no free agency on mycareer as I've heard (your contract just goes to $0 and you keep playing).

so, is there free agency on cg where I get to choose other teams or not? THat will be a deciding factor for me...
                So?

Anybody know if there's a viable free agency in current gen mycareer?

I had my contract extended 5 years this year, but in 2k13, there was a free agency. I couldn't tell you from personal experience, but I don't think there would be a glitch in 2k14 that doesn't allow the free agency process. You can try using YouTube to get more information about being a free agent in MyCareer.

I don't know what to tell you. I've had the same shot form since 2K12, and I shoot a lot. Really, i just know how to score. So some games I'd be off, but I'll just keep shooting until I regain the feel on when to release the ball. All I'd suggest to you is to keep shooting until you get it. I have a normal release by the way. Also, don't rely on practicing your shot in 'shootaround'. Shooting in-game is better, so you could play a game and just gun all game in different situations, and just quit if you don't want that game on your record or whatever, or not. You could also do a bunch of shooting in 'scrimmage'. I personally don't like shooting because i don't like shooting on a different camera angle than my actual game cam. Become a creature of habit, if you find things that work for you, don't stray away from it.

                      Good luck.

Does anyone have any tips for a Stretch (4/)5? My vitals are 7'0" and 250 pounds. I chose to go to the Oklahoma City Thunder, because I felt as a center it was my most ample opportunity for championships and playing time.

Anyone else obsessed with having multiple profiles and different players and positions?
                          I have a PG, a PF and a C. I also have a Len Bias (SF) recreation.
I have probably 5-6 Playstation profiles lol

Thanks for responding...I know it was in 2k13, and I tried looking on the internet for info...but nothing forthcoming

My concern is that since it's not in nextgen, it might also be in current gen, and I don't want to play all those games (cause I play every game) and then not get free agency...

I'm pretty much done with ps4...I want to go back to my 360 version, but am a little gun shy after the way 2k screwed up the ps4 version

Well today i played one game, letting it fly from everywhere on the court. I Did notice that i make far more shots when i have hand on my face and also when i dont get "Excellent release". Weird, i dont even know what to say lol.

Re: NBA 2K14 Official MyCAREER Thread

I've just started a Center, got drafted to Portland. My issue is the dynamic goals and the other team 3 point shooting. I started on HoF for the difficulty bonus and because I didn't mind losing in my rookie year. Well, 4th game in, I have about 15 minutes in the rotation, come in in the 1st quarter with 4 minutes left and we are losing 29-9

I get a dynamic goal, reduce the gap to 10 points... Well I played the whole game and the dynamic goal would have been better to keep the gap at 20. We lost 156-115... I'm a Center and my stat-line was 38 points, 4 assists, 9 rebounds, 4 steals, 9 blocks.. I mean, what more could I do? I stopped them coming inside, so they chucked up 3s all game, even with 3 people around them on a fastbreak... didn't matter.

                                They shot 75% 3pt but only had 55% FG%...

Yeah, I know, HoF blah blah, but I lowered the difficulty to Rookie, changed the sliders and the AI still shoot a ridculous amount of 3s... The games telling you, you can't play any other position to win, you need to be a PG or SG to win games... and tbh, I've played PG to death on 2k12 and 2k13
