Anyone know whether its better to create a 3pt specialist, athletic or scoring small forwArd? I normally create a 3pt specialist because I usually live behind thev3pt line. However, not sure if that's the way ro go on 2k14. Also, having a problem finding a good shooting release for the rookie showcase game. I usually use ray Allen's. Lastly, is it better to stick with the small forward plan or should I go shooting guard?

Your man is going to stick to you like glue when you're behind the arc if your 3 point rating is high enough. I have had better luck getting a little bit of separation and knocking down midrange shots with "scoring" type wings. I haven't really found any repeatable cheese moves, which is good for the long run, but makes it much harder than 2k13 to crack top 10 in the draft.

CPU's pick and roll defense is pretty darn good. You have to have good shooting wings to make the play work, which is how it should be. Can't just roll to the rim and get the easy bucket with your big man.

In 2k14, could you add goggles to your player like that of Stoudamire or others? Thanks

Nope, doesn't look like there are any goggles/facial accessories at all

Rebounding is fine...ven in quick games.

Yes, I noticed that too. On the default sliders and settings rebounding is OK but in MyCareer it's like in 2k13.

i have a big problem, i cant even start a mycareer! whenever i finish editing my player and save it i alwys get stuck at the saving file to 2k servers screen. Then when i turn the game off and back on and try to load it says it will only work as an offline mycareer. any help?

I created Andrew Wiggins as an Athletic SF and I was drafted 16th overall to the Celtics. I pretty much told the 76ers to go away when they interviewed me. I was also interviewed by the Jazz, but I didn't give them the answers they were looking for so they passed on me.

Game seems less robotic this year and it feels like I'm not getting stuck on screens as much as I was in 2k13. Overall I'm really enjoying the gameplay. The new controls will take some getting used to though.

Anyone else having trouble driving. It is so hard to get by the defender. They are always staying in front of you and bumping you. Do you know what attributes I should increase? My speed and quickness are already at 80 but it only helped a little.

I'm wondering if you can even call plays this year if you're not a PG. I can click the "Best option" button and that seems to work, but nothing else does.

Anyone else getting stuck on the ground when trying to jump for a rebound, and the jump button becomes inactive?

So I did a redo of my Athletic SF & this time I went to the pelicans (yes the New Orleans pelicans!) which was cool. I've already requested a trade to sac & both LA teams to help both them out plus Evans is already the starter in NO. Anyway the gameplay is really, really difficult to play on HOF/Sim but I expect & yes there is ALWAYS going to be cheese with the CPU. To me, TOs & steals are way to common in the game & the movement of my player I sometimes get stuck or lose a possession because my guys won't move or pass the ball. I don't want to just exploit the bad because its so easy but I mean they're clear. Anyway I still love the game & patches will come hopefully (I mean they're moving onto next gen). So this game is a good to go & I would recommend this to anyone that wants this game.

Did anybody notice the "social media challenge" this year?

Before the game, I checked my twitter feed (I'm a 6'3 pass first pg drafted 15th to the bucks)...2nd game I see that Olnyck challenges me (like in 2k13) and he says that he bets I won't even get 10 pts

Well, I finish with 19 pts (HOF/Sim settings 12 mins) and when I score my tenth point, I notice it flashes at the top of the screen "social media challenge accepted" or something like that

at the end of the game, I get 100 extra vc for it

I'm like "what's this extra vc?" then I realize, cause I did what dude on twitter said I couldn't do, I got rewarded

nice little extra perk by 2k on that

Man it's annoying seeing my PF, who be open downlow in the paint refuse to dunk out strong and just lay it up, have 90 dunk and 90 standing dunk and vertical is max

I just shot 4-14 in my 5th game and got the following tweet:

Btw I love the social media challenge. It's still a grind for vc but nonetheless this somehow makes it a little easier.
