I got 13 for 8 bucks used on Gamefly. This new BF price is/was 35 bucks. From all I am reading I don't think it is worth the upgrade for current gen.

It all depends on what you want out of a game. For me, it's the My Player/My Career mode that makes me want to buy this game. If you wanted to reap higher scoring output unrealistically then 2K13 is the game for you. If you want more realistic statistics but with the AI determining most outcomes, then it's 2k14. If you ready to try a different style of gameplay, then 2k14 is it because it has the most dramatic changes for better and worse. I was not prepared to score less than 80 pts in a key game after the first year, but in 2k14, that's not a very realistic goal.

On topic. To answer the original poll question, i would say not a must buy. While the gameplay is different, i wouldn't necessarily call it better. However, i will go ahead and assume 2k will shut down 2k13's servers sooner rather than later (if they haven't already). If they do then the obvious vote would be "Yes for On-Line Players".

I like the fact that on the previous versions it was a lot easier to make/edit rosters. From what I am reading on OS it is very difficult to mod this game. I don't see 14 for CG as any great leap forward over 13. I do not play online my career or my player so id they have been improved it doesn't really matter much to me. I do like 14 for the PS4 though and if I decide to pick up a new console when The Show drops I will get 14 at that time otherwise I'll just get 15 down the road.
