Please get rid of the canned get bumped and stumble back animation. Its ridiculous and when the shot clock is going down you have no control over your player.
Fix offensive rebounding. If someone decides to go with a small lineup their is no reason I should be getting killed on the glass if I have bigs in the game. Their needs to be more strategy to this game and it just doesn't exist. The one thing I admired about all pro 2k8 football was the strategy in it.
Please give the defense only 2 chances to switch between defenses. Im tired of not being able to run plays due to them being canceled out. Its ridiculous.
Steal spamming needs to come with a penalty. If your gonna bring in LIVE BALL then bring LIVE SLAPS ACROSS THE WRIST AS WELL. Im of the constant reaching with no foul calls. Takes away from the post game as well.
You guys need to go back to the drawing board and build a more strategic basketball game. Every thing is all over the place in this game. You had a foundation in 2k11 but chose to go a different route.

1. Screens. Your teammates just do not set screens properly and when they do not screen anyone at all they will often times just continue to move around in the screen animation for a few seconds instead of cutting to the basket or elsewhere.
2. Plays. Oh boy this will be a long one because they are a complete mess. A good number of them are broken and will not progress past the first phase while a ton of other plays stop working halfway through. I have tested them over and over and it is not the defense disrupting them, they just will not complete at all. Another issue with plays are your players not even attempting to run their man into the screen.
Players will just casually run around instead of actually hustling. Can't tell you how many times I've run plays like "Quick 3 UP" etc and the guy is just leisurely jogging to their spot instead of hauling ***. Then there are times when the intended receiver will get caught up or bump into a defender, recover and then proceed to walk to their spot instead of running.
Then there's that one glitch at the beginning of plays where one guy will get stuck in a loop running back and forth.
3. Catch and shoot animations aren't fluid at all. This has been covered by someone else with a video. There definitely needs to be more fluidity when players catch a pass. Because of the little stop animation that happens so often when players catch the ball, most Cutter plays don't function properly and are basically useless. I can understand if it's a inaccurate pass but when it's a good bounce pass or lead pass it shouldn't happen as much as it does in 2k14.
4. Bigs holding onto the ball on the perimeter while the clock just runs winds down. I remember this happening back in 2k11 and quite honestly disappointed to see it's still in the game. People have said that it's because of plays breaking down or something related to plays, whatever the reason it should not happen. They should pass it to a guard instead of holding it and chucking up a 3 because the play clock is running out. This is just poor AI.
5. My PF and C moving away from the basket when I'm driving instead of cutting to the basket for score. One of my bigs should be getting ready for a pass down low when I'm attacking the basket. Didn't Chris Andersen terrorize teams with this just 5 months ago in the Playoffs?
Those are just a few things with the most obvious being the plays and how players function during them. It's really disappointing that some of these issues were in 2k12 and haven't been fixed but, what's more disappointing is the fluid catch and shoot as well as plays working properly in 2k12 are now broken in what's supposed to be a yearly upgraded game.Comment

Tired of seeing this argument. The problem is you can always get a bucket or a foul when rushing inside while being well defended. It's not about A+. It's not about shot feedback. It's about open jump shots being completely underpowered compared to just turboing into guys and hoping for the best.Comment

fix shooting cant hit wide open excellent releases for nothing. this is the hardest shooting game ever. what the sense of having shot timing on when nothing goes in even if its excellent A+ releases.Comment

I like the game, but it's in dire need of a patch. The momentum is just ridiculous. For instance, I just played a game against Boston, and the scores by quarter were 28-20, 25-25, 23-34, 18-31. I lost 94-110. Once the third quarter began, the CPU just went haywire and started abusing the paint with no way to stop it. I could stop the paint cheese just fine in 2K13, but in this game, the CPU will always score in the paint if it wants to, even if it has to throw up some contested double clutch junk layup that will invariably go in anyway. As a result, the Celtics shot 61% from the field and scored 24 points in the paint in the third quarter alone. On my offensive end, I might as well have put the controller down every time down the court, because running the offense was basically useless, seeing as though I couldn't make wide open shots.
This madness continued on into the fourth quarter, in which they shot 61% again and scored 16 of their points from the paint. In the end, the CPU scored a total of 68 points in the paint. Even the rebounding becomes ludicrous once the CPU goes on these runs, because I've seen the ball morph through my players' hands and go straight to an opposing player for the offensive rebound.I can't even get mad, I just begin to laugh.
I don't mind runs, they happen in the NBA, but the way they are represented in the game borders on the cartoonish. Having the ball morph through my players' hands on rebounds? Making my players forget what they are supposed to be doing on the court and leave shooters wide open? Punishing good defense and allowing garbage layups to go in every time? That's just silly.
2K13 was sometimes bad in this aspect, but it wasn't this bad. All 2K needs to do is fix this, because I really like the AI improvements. The game is just brilliant, except when these over-the-top runs start to happen. On a side note, I don't believe there is any cheating going on, it's just the momentum, because I also benefit from the same wackiness when I'm on a run of my own, except I always play sim and never deliberately abuse the paint, so it's less noticeable.Comment

I hate the contact animation while dribbling as well as the charge. Constantly I am dribbling and hit the pass button, only for my player to get caught up in the contact animation for a second or two... Only to now pass it when that animation ends while there is now a defender right in front of my teammate, resulting in a turnover almost every time. Happens at least twice a game
And for the charges, once every game or other game, I am trying to drive to a side and they randomly call a charge and it's unbelievably frustrating. They need to fix these things especially the first oneComment

the online was what really made me trade it in. no logic to the shot success. tossing up contested junk shots was almost as effective as getting open. pointless and arbitrary.Last edited by blues rocker; 12-15-2013, 11:29 AM.Comment

Fix the eye color bug where they are always brown on X1,
let patterns on custom shoes actually show in-game,
fix the compression shorts so we can see if they are equipped and that both legs are black and not one leg black and one white (seriously, these texture bugs are annoying),
fix it so you can toggle auto color sneakers off and have the ability to toggle it on for gear instead of VC gauging for colors,
fix it so it doesn't take a played game to see gear so you can switch it up for different jerseys,
add facial editing for My Career,
Allow us to change our number in My Career
Allow us to freestyle practice with our My Career player so we can test shooting forms, dunks, dribble moves, etc...

I just want them to address online associations with a patch. Offseasons are completely broken to the point you can't select anyone in the draft. On top of that free agency period just passes by without any human users able to sign anyone. Ridiculous that it has not been addressed at this point.Comment
