Just as long as I can play my createdplayer in my gm I'm fine with it.

I don't understand the huge issue with myGM. If you want multiplayer, create an online league.

Who the hell would port a game over to a next-gen console? First off all you need to release a really good, impressive launch title if you don't, you are making a huge mistake and make a fool out of yourself.

Secondly, you got a new system with hardware that is so much more advanced and better. Why would you port it over? You practically HAVE to start from scratch, because the end result will be satisfying for everyone involved, especially the end user. You can do so much more. Why hold back?
Sorry, but you have no idea what you're talking about. Do you know how long it takes to make a game nowadays? Especially games as big as the games we're seeing nowadays. For the record, pretty much every game you got from the last gen was a port! Maybe 1 or 2 original games, but they had years of dedicated work beforehand. Yeah, you need to make an impression. That's true. But there aren't too many games out during launch. Frankly, people are kind of forced to take what's there. Good or bad, games get bought. And MOST system launch titles are bug ridden messes. I expect the same to be true this time as well. You second statement: why would you port over? Uh, because you have a starting point to a game and you can get a game out faster with that starting point. If your **** is right, there's no NEED to not port if your engine is built to be EXPANDABLE. So why hold back? Because you have no choice. This stuff isn't easy and isn't free. It's not holding back, it's doing what you can with the time you have. You sound as if you think new consoles are given to folks with no issues.

this may be the greatest basketball SIMULATION video game created.

I honestly want to sleep for 3 weeks and wake up on the 15th to get this game.

I may even do the midnight launch thing

MyGM sounds like a fresh new look on franchise mode. I'm VERY positive that it will have most of the current functions of current gen association, but with the twist being your MyPlayer as the coach, a sort of story line, and you cant control multiple teams. This IS STILL A FRANCHISE MODE. Just new name and new concept. And who's to say the AI trade logic hasn't improved? Let's just wait and see.

I personally haven't seen the allure of playing in Association mode the past 3 years, I'm interested again.

Correct me if I am wrong, but... I just don't see it being a huge deal. As long as I can still control my team through an NBA season, etc I am good. Plus we can play as GM, coach, or our player.

By saying our player was the GM, I think they meant the way he looks. Not specifically your player as in him being retired, etc.

EDIT: To the guy above me, MyGM is specifically offline from what information is given. Online hasn't been covered yet. Also, with the new trade logic and power of the system maybe those issues will be gone making it much easier for the game to flow realistically by controlling just one team.

I only use one team in Association anyway, so I'm quite excited.
Me too! Just don't be like madden with ccm and not let me bring my created player to mygm

Everything sounds amazing to me, can't wait to get my XboxONE.

Man people are never happy, here 2K the only sports title to my knowledge that has built a game from the ground up for next-gen and people are still complaining!

This is only the first year on the next-gen NBA 2K when building a game from the ground up you can't have everything at once, they can only do so much in a small amount of time and what they have is far beyond any next-gen sports game! And they still had to work on current gen NBA 2k, to be honest I don't know how they did it.

And if they would have ported the same game over from current gen people would be bashing them for that, because the game wouldn't have looked as good and it would have been too similar to current gen.

Really how many people play multi-team Association, probably less than 1% of all NBA 2k users so they decided to sacrifice that this year (probably because of time constraints & low on the next-gen priority list) I'm sure it will return in the future along with other features missing from current gen.

But really, forget about all of this stuff about multi-team stuff in MyGM, I'm really more interested in MyCareer. Tons of cuts scenes, a rival, dealing with teammates. Imagine the kind of stuff that will be in that.

I'm sure the Live team doesn't see it that way. And I would be that VC would rather have NBA AND that NFL game.

MyGM sounds just like the improved and more in-depth version of Association mode that we've all been wanting.

I'm curious as to the shoes question, but no way they took the edit player function out. NO WAY.
