Guys, its very easy to see the direction that 2K is taking and that is making their came for the casual basketball game user and now is nothing but a better NBA Jam type of game now...MyTeam..MyCareer....MyGm....come on guys...notice the theme on ALL the modes they announced for the new gen? My Team, My Career, My Gm = MyGod 2K...Thank goodness EA Sports won't make the same mistake and drop their Association mode (learn from 2ks ultimate mistake)

They said that GM will have specific skills and attributes (I imagine regarding "contracts negotiaion", "scouting", "players", "coach", "locker room", "fan base". etc). I guess you will need VC to raise them and get better bonuses & performances.
I only hope that team budget will not be in VC as they did with salaries in MyPlayer.

Really? I don't like the sound of that at all. I feel as though that could even further limit one's ability to replicate a true-to-life NBA season. Quick Games are neat, but I'd like the ability to replicate NBA basketball and have it count for something without having to play a role playing game.

The way i look at it is you're not forced to buy it if you want to earn it and go down a slower road then go ahead.

when i buy VC i might get 5-10 bucks of it and play on but even if i see somebody buying all the VC to max out their player i don't really care some everybody has their preference

My next wonder will be whether it'll be possible to hire all the correct staff for one's team (i.e. creating a MyPlayer named Joe Dumars, installing him as GM, then hiring Mo Cheeks, Rasheed Wallace, Mike Abdenour, and Henry Bibby) or if we'll be forced to sign fictional people.

I'd have to believe it'll be possible to install a correct staff (as I'm assuming other teams will have their real owners, managers, and staff) but it seems like it's going to be a little more drawn out than I'd like. Can we not just say we want the true-to-life staff and skip over all the interviews and whatnot?

Honestly, do you think is possible in CG 2k14 to play MyPlayer, Crew and MyTeam at the same time managing to be competitive/satisfied with all modes without spending some real money for VC?

Well, I believe the nature of the forum at this point is going to center around discussion about information that's been released thus far. Some people do not like the sound of some of the information released and they're wondering what it's going to mean about certain aspects of the game. I'd say the vast majority of folks hear understand they're merely speculating based off of limited information at this point. However, some of that information does not sound promising, so it's being discussed.

It's kind of like people discussing their predictions of the upcoming NBA season. No one knows how the NBA season is going to play out, but many of us like to speculate with hypotheticals based upon what we know at the moment.

It's the youtube factor. I don't think we truely realise how much Youtube is changing our games. It's free publicity. Free marketing. Youtube can make or break a game now. Look at Payday. Seriously it's a bad game. Basic gameplay, ridiculously bad AI., epic glitches, Little replay value. Little content. People laughs at Call of Duty but they can praise a game like Payday. It's because of youtube.

If a mode doesn't get views on youtube it will be taken off from now on. I'am sure of it. One day you will be able to launch your My2Klife from your facebook account. That's just the way it is. 2K will go all the way with it.

It's not a big deal to me though, I'll just move on or buy a PC. I feel that's where the true next gen adult's gaming will be.

Only play with the VC you earn in each mode.

that doesnt work if u wanna play multiple modes where VC is needed...just think of how long it would take to buy 5 gold packs in myteam by just playing team up, blacktop or quick matches! 250-300vc in around 25-30min! that would be 200 games/100 hours...Or think of trying to max out your myplayer, 150.000vc - 600 games/300 hours lol
