My only issue is unique, but I think it will be very very weird to see a my GM as a 20 year old basketball player who looks generic as hell. I think they should make them seem a little more elderly--like 40 year olds etc not the generic myplayer stuff that has you player wearing weird clothes and hats etc -

To re-state, I don't have an issue with fantasy modes by themselves. I just do not care for them taking over every other mode. Ideally, there'd be modes for folks who want to "live the dream" by placing themselves in key dream positions (NBA Player, GM) and then modes for those who wish to keep it NBA authentic. The mish-mash nearly every offered mode has become is kind of splintering.Comment

Okay my issue with statement is how you guys, whether its 2K or Live dislikers, believe its so easy to create a game. This is their first game of the next gen and according to them was built from the ground up. Splitting a team up that normally works on one ANNUALLY release game to work on two is even more difficult. So guess what, some things will be missing at first but by year two or three(this is when imo when we will see the best next gen 2k game, b/c current gen will have a less prominent role) if these same problems exist i think you have a great point. Like the other user said, you have the option not but as I did with current gen, I did not purchase b/c imo is was not a big of a enough leap. I rather have the next gen version.Whatever you do, don't give constructive criticism or say anything negative about Madden video games! It seems to be the equivalent of a felony...Comment

Re: NBA 2K14: My GM Interview, Hands-On Impressions, More! (Next-Gen)
Who said it was easy? This is pure common sense here. You see what you're game did right on current-gen and bring it over to next-gen. No sports game should restrict you from making roster moves for other teams in your Dynasty/Franchise Mode. Any developer that ignores this has to be stupid. Customization is key in sports' games. You know that.GT Agent August

Re: NBA 2K14: My GM Interview, Hands-On Impressions, More! (Next-Gen)
I was going to wait a long time to pick up one of the new systems, but reading all this stuff is making me antsy about finding a job post-graduation so I can afford to pay up for a new system and play this. This sounds amazing to me, even though I was annoyed with the constant player conversations back in the old 2K games. It sounds like it's much better now, and not to mention I'm older and wiser and feel like I can handle that a bit better now. Back in the old days, I just wanted to get through the conversations and get on to the next game/next season. Now, I really look for an immersive experience, and it sounds like this might be it.NFL: Bills
NBA: Bucks
MLB: Cubs
NCAA: Syracuse
Soccer: USMNT/DC United

Will you still be able to create a player and put him on the roster of your favourite team?. Then will your created player be on the roster in My GM?Comment

Re: NBA 2K14: My GM Interview, Hands-On Impressions, More! (Next-Gen)
I felt this way at first too, but i'm glad they still allow us to edit draft classes. but we can only edit other players "outside" of My GM, because Eric Boenisch wants us to have a "controlled experience" with his new My GM mode. I get that they want users to really play this mode, however, they are forcing us to play it by taking away FULL FREEDOM to edit player tendencies and ratings "IN' My GM. Why do that? I like to play up to almost 25 years into Association(Now My GM) mode. PLUS, after 4 or 5 seasons in My GM, current NBA stars like Lebron and Wade and many other great players on the game get old and retire. I want to be able to create future stars and superstars in draft classes, and edit them AFTER THE DRAFT when they sign with a team so that the competition level still keeps me intrigued and there is always great future role players, stars, and superstars to compete against. Lets say I create three 20 year old, 73 rated prospects to have a potential of 84. But since we cant edit their attributes and tendencies AFTER the draft is over, what if their shot tendency is 30 and foul tendency is 80? What if I forget to edit those tendencies BEFORE they get drafted? Sure, they will develop but it wont show in their play(when I compete against the draft class players I edited before the draft) and it won't show in their numbers in the league(stats). Taking away the ability to edit ALL players on other teams "IN" MyGM mode was a mistake by Eric Boenisch. I don't necessarily NEED 30 team control. In the current Gen 2k14, 13, you could go to the trade screen and still conduct trades for other teams WITHOUT actually controlling those franchises, however, I still want the option to control ALL 30 teams. Gamers need freedom.Comment
