Thanks man, at this point, it seems like it's gonna be a Black Friday pickup. But, if we can use RED MC right away, then I'll feel better about it.

I'm not gonna be able to update rosters, but I just wanna make some research in terms of hidden faces.

Thanks for the gameplay impressions guys, keep 'em coming. I'm really only interested in offline association, and I haven't bought a new 2k since '11, so I'm in a different boat than most of you.

The current gen impressions have me wavering a bit, but I'm stubborn, and I don't think I'm quite ready to upgrade yet. Looking forward to more gameplay impressions as 2k11 sits nervously in my PS3.

I don't understand why you pissed. Just look back at all the other console generation changes and you see the same trend.
It's nothing strange. A lot of people expect totally new games each year irregardless of system but that's not the way it works.

That NG systems are getting updated graphics, animations and features is natural. Because it's for the new Current Gen system. That they don't continue to develop for a last gen system is just natural. They have provided new features but your not gonna that many new features and updated gameplay case you're talking about a system that is 10 years old. How can you be pissed?

Either upgrade or accept that you're talking about a game made for a, soon to be, obsolete system.

That's not.even kind of true, madden is light years ahead of last year's, graphics are a given but they didn't even update this game, the menus from the main page to timeouts to gameplay, everything's the same with different colors, NO new broadcast elements other than the commentary. Only" new" thing I've seen is a few tattoos and I'm not even sure those are new. They don't even have Love on the Cavs. I get there are going to be differences but this is the biggest copy paste I've seen in a game so far and it's not even close, we've had next gen for what, a year and they're already copy pasting games? Even the main page that shows the top players from today's matchup still do the same dribble/finger spin routine. I redboxed it and I'm irritated lol

Sadly its probably that moron NBA2k insider guy, who has about as much basketball knowledge as a waterbucket,lol. Last yr they did get players and transactions in the game quicker than they had in the past, although ratings werent garbage as usual. NOt sure what to expect this yr with old gen updates.

Actually he's an OSer who got hired by 2k to work on rosters and ratings based on his work on here.

They should have made the game 39.99 ... I don't have 2k14 so I will probrably buy it. I love basketball period ...funny thing is I used to own a next gen console but was so unimpressed with the game selection ... so I just got a xbox 360 slim and a bunch of games for cheap ... this will probably be it for me. I do see that game companies are not really making anything substantial for last gen ... Madden 25 was a pleasant surprise and I can't believe that 2k15 still has Love on the Timberwolves that is a huge indictment that they really didn't care much... oh well hope the game play is good that all that matters ..

Honestly, just get 2K14 for cheap.....The roster makers have made some GREAT rosters for it and its basically better than 2K15.......

Not sure what folks were seeing. I rented the game from Redbox this morning. There's 100's of redbox kiosks in town, but I could only find it at one.

At first glance, Love is NOT on the Wolves. He is on the Cavs. Not sure where that came from. Glad I didn't tweet that out like I started to this morning. Steve Kerr is still announcing though. That's just damn stupid. I'm getting ready to start my first game with the Hornets in exhibition & Kellogg says the season hasn't been going the way the Hornets would have hoped. WTF? About to play. Will report back.

This is why 2K doesn't care because they know people are just going to buy it anyway.........No way in hell are they gonna dupe me when I've a got a perfectly, updated 2K14 sitting right here......As usual, the only way to make these companies care is to hit them in the pockets, which it seems like never enough of us do......Those of you bought this, I genuinely hope you guys enjoy the game....No point in buying it and being negative about it....

How was Madden 1-2 years after the last console change? It was more or less the same.
That's why there's no rule that they WILL keep enhancing a last gen version. Madden might have done that this year but they didn't ten years ago, so it's not strange that they haven't updated it that much this year.

Update: i noticed plenty of new animations, headlining rebounding, blocking, layups, and anything contact based, as in layups and defense, i actually saw some animations from 2k12/13 in the game.

One thing i noticed that is a HUGE fix, is that your no longer THAT sluggish in defense like you were in 2k14 (notice i said THAT), and thats relieving, better said player movement is much more fluid and fast, you no longer feel like you move in slow motion sometimes, and thats a relief, its now moderate, you still get beat once in a while if you choose where to move the player incorrectly, but actually since the inside defense is more responsive, you can be saved more often from those scenarios, because the defensive collisions are more likely to happen, actually, i was in the fast break and was about to have an open layup, when a player got in my way, and in MID AIR it alternated the shot and my guy missed, so that was cool, also, some 2k14 animations are faster in this game, like rebounding animations, rebounding its much more skill based, for example i saw AD flying to get rebounds compared to other players, his blocking skills were also very noticeable compared to others, thing is it was the cpu AD, and the game was just in pro difficulty.

Regarding pro difficulty, i was surprised at the defense being played even in this difficulty, especially inside, the corners are still prone to the defender trying to help on defense and leaving his guy open (this pisses me off) but it actually only happened about 2times the whole game with 6min quarters, and remember that the difficulty is on pro so cpu defense might not be as intense as higher difficulties, actually, something surprised me, late game i was winning by 8, and i felt as if the cpu started defending me more aggressively, especially behind the half court line, it actually forced me to pass the ball multiple times, thing is, the defender was korver LOL, but overall its the animations, the collisions happen very often, but its nothing that forces you to not be able to move, you just have to be smart and trick the defender, i tried but the defender still managed to collision with me, exciting!.

The new jumpshot system makes the game more knowledge based, as you actually have to know the players release to even come close to making shots, i missed many shots because of that, their hard to master.


I gotta say out of everything the defense improvements alone make this game different, another thing, this is all paying attention to detail, am kinda dissapointed with some reviews so far, maybe its just it feels different to me and not to them, but i wouldn't say its exactly the same, i truly think now after playing it, that they did what they could.

I don't think it's a point of being negative just to be negative moor. It's just people giving their impressions of a game that they paid for which unfortunately for the most part are negative. I doubt anyone spent 60 bones wanting to hate it..lol

Okay, 5 games in their are gameplay tweaks. Offense unfortunately seems to have taken a step back, pick and roll is still horrible, it takes about 6 seconds for the cluster under the hoop.to get sorted out when calling plays, however passing is approved, pulled a sick around the defender bounce pass to hit Aldridge in stride for the dunk that was pure beauty. The only real Negative I have, is that everything they had advertised (I get it was for next gen) isn't in the game. I was looking forward to the new association mode(or old lol) and the new presentation stuff, while those aren't.game breakers I'm just disappointed. And the fact they couldn't port over any of the new My career stuff is the biggest bummer. Gameplay IS good though if that's what you're after.

i can't guarantee you'll like it as much as i am, but all am saying is that a full review should be given on detail, and i feel like a lot of people didn't really pay attention and just judge the game being the same based on looks, and didn't really experiment enough to feel the difference, you can either trust me, or trust them, neither could be right, ultimately is up to you, am just trying to update people on every little detail i noticed, because my decision to buy the game was full of doubts and to be honest not many people helped with the on detail responses i wanted, so hopefully am helping you guys with that aspect with my updates.
