Someone mentioned that Love was not even updated with Cleveland. So are we saying on PS3 he is on the Cav's roster? As far as Blacktop, is it still the same court from last year? Same old dunk contest as well?

Yes in PS3 rosters are updated love is in the cavs yes

yes its the same court but theres crew which is 5 on 5 my players with nba rules in an arena, way better than blacktop.

I don't think anyone cares about the dunk contest lol yes its the same, i don't see why they would update that.

it looks different indeed, his hair is all puffy and weird lol his face too, less jaw outlines, but i wouldn't say it looks better, it looks ok though

Any one of you tried playing on Superstar/Sim? How does it play? Were some of the cheese moves toned down or removed? Appreciate the feedback.

The game overall plays like more of a sim style, especially on defense, if you put simulation style manually it might even be more sim, i haven't seen any cheese moves yet, no one has dunked on me yet lol all the animations ive seen so far are defendable, and to get in the paint you gotta have some guts, especially if theres a good defender on you or in the paint, these are all day one impressions though, after some days of playing i might find some problems gameplay wise who knows.

Update: i noticed plenty of new animations, headlining rebounding, blocking, layups, and anything contact based, as in layups and defense, i actually saw some animations from 2k12/13 in the game.

One thing i noticed that is a HUGE fix, is that your no longer THAT sluggish in defense like you were in 2k14 (notice i said THAT), and thats relieving, better said player movement is much more fluid and fast, you no longer feel like you move in slow motion sometimes, and thats a relief, its now moderate, you still get beat once in a while if you choose where to move the player incorrectly, but actually since the inside defense is more responsive, you can be saved more often from those scenarios, because the defensive collisions are more likely to happen, actually, i was in the fast break and was about to have an open layup, when a player got in my way, and in MID AIR it alternated the shot and my guy missed, so that was cool, also, some 2k14 animations are faster in this game, like rebounding animations, rebounding its much more skill based, for example i saw AD flying to get rebounds compared to other players, his blocking skills were also very noticeable compared to others, thing is it was the cpu AD, and the game was just in pro difficulty.

Regarding pro difficulty, i was surprised at the defense being played even in this difficulty, especially inside, the corners are still prone to the defender trying to help on defense and leaving his guy open (this pisses me off) but it actually only happened about 2times the whole game with 6min quarters, and remember that the difficulty is on pro so cpu defense might not be as intense as higher difficulties, actually, something surprised me, late game i was winning by 8, and i felt as if the cpu started defending me more aggressively, especially behind the half court line, it actually forced me to pass the ball multiple times, thing is, the defender was korver LOL, but overall its the animations, the collisions happen very often, but its nothing that forces you to not be able to move, you just have to be smart and trick the defender, i tried but the defender still managed to collision with me, exciting!.

The new jumpshot system makes the game more knowledge based, as you actually have to know the players release to even come close to making shots, i missed many shots because of that, their hard to master.


I gotta say out of everything the defense improvements alone make this game different, another thing, this is all paying attention to detail, am kinda dissapointed with some reviews so far, maybe its just it feels different to me and not to them, but i wouldn't say its exactly the same, i truly think now after playing it, that they did what they could.

Thank you! Everyone is so thirsty to bash because of what they see on the surface, I played Hornets and Heat and man it felt great from jump... you have to take time with it if you want to see differences in this game. These new animations have a better feel to the game..it does have a doper feel, blocks connect, passes look smoother.. gameplay is great after five games.. I am excited to see injury animations...

Man guys like me who love playing with slashing PGs are gunna love this game, Lillard is so much fun and you can hit the reverse layups under the trees like butta, there is def a lot here once you get to play it. Still butt hurt about the stuff that isn't gameplay but all **** aside this game is a deeper book than it seems. I'll try and get over the copy paste cover and love it for what it is lol.

Cool, Im on the fence on purchasing this game, have seen some vids and some back and forth with the comments posted. Guess I'll wait a bit more when the roster makers will come out with their sets. I enjoy it a lot when they have their shoes and accessories right. Now with improved game play, really curious to see how that's going to look like....

I know there is no coach mode, but is there a way to play dynasty in this game and not play the games, like computer vs computer for my organization or anything optins like that? Or do you HAVE to actually play?

Not interested in just sim, but would love to be able to watch my team I put together play if I can't coach them.

Never played the NBA games before but thinking of purchasing as Choops2k8 is stating to stale for me.....

I know there is no coach mode, but is there a way to play dynasty in this game and not play the games, like computer vs computer for my organization or anything optins like that? Or do you HAVE to actually play?

Not interested in just sim, but would love to be able to watch my team I put together play if I can't coach them.

of course in association mode you can simply put the cpus to play eachother, just spectate, your just watching your team, you can sim out the whole season, sim until a certain point, or just play every game.
