hey we can't diss live, it may be worse but don't assume that based on scores from some guys with no credibility. Just rent the games, though i am dissapointed with this score, but the review was way more indepth than the live review.

Re: Ign Review
I love how this guy is just trying to find the smallest things to call this game bad, but in the NBA Live review they were praising the dunk contest the whole time. I saw the Shaq clip where he said Shaq couldnt back down Andre Miller, but he obviously was backing him down and then the guy pulled a spin move. ONLY thing that I saw in the review that was horrible was when shaq was standing on the outside but once again he could have called an isolation play to have everyone move out and then try to blame it on the game. This guy is BS and a moron.Comment

Re: Ign Review
I'm from the IGN boards and the reason why NBA live scored so high is because you have a bias fanboy in Jon Robinson reviewing EA games. He gave NFL street a 9.1 and refuses to give any EA game he reviews a fair score.
Hil on the other hand is or was? A die hard Sega sports guy. If it's like last year's game which it sounds like I don't see why the score of 8.1 is so far fetched. It was a crap fest last year and it looks the same this year.Comment

Re: Ign Review
Overall, I'll take IGN's review with a grain of salt.
But these pissed me off simply for the fact that I never saw any of these in the videos. I don't know if the reviewer is nitpicking or just being honest.
On defense you have, essentially, a single viable new option -- the Double Team. By pressing the Left Trigger, you call for a double team of the ball carrier, which can be very helpful. But the problem is, you can easily get pulled into a trap animation. When two players surround the ball carrier, you lose control and are left to watch as you hound the guy with the rock. He'll either kick it out to someone else or eventually you'll get the jump ball.
In fact, excluding buzzer beaters, the CPU fired off just five triples in fifteen games.Shaq plays like KG in ESPN NBA 2K5. He doesn't play at all like Shaq (though the facial modeling and tats certainly make him look just like the Big Aristotle). This imposter seems to rarely show up in the paint. I've found him numerous times hanging ten feet off the hoop, not even covering a defender. It's offensive. It's wrong.
Alright, unless this guy is straight up lying, WHAT THE HELL GIVES with this review? He trashed it.
I'll make my own determination tomorrow, but this is not a good look. At all.Comment

Re: Ign Review
Live's gameplay got a 9, ESPN's a 7.
Regardless of what these reviewers are writing in words, the difference between a 7 and a 9 is worrysome..
Because it's all about gameplay IMO. Regardless of the validity of the review, I am going to be very curious about how others that play the game think the gameplay is.Enjoy football? Enjoy Goal Line Blitz!Comment
