KDRE, whoever watches that Shaq video and doesn't laugh their *** off is taking brand loyalty way too far. That crap was straight comedy. And for them to piece that together makes it even more funnier.

Sorry, but IGN has an agenda.

That's the video that they chose to represent the game??? Straight comedy. I'm gonna save that video and watch it on a day that I'm really depressed.

I have a hard time believing this game can be worse than last year, especially seeing all the vids i saw, maybe it needs slider help but it cant be bad enough to warrant that big of a ratings drop.

im just alittle mad that its not a fair review. Maybe the game is as they wrote it out to be.. and just not very good... but a lot of their complaints, given 20 minutes with sliders, and the problems are semi fixed.

well I just got LIVE tonight and played a few games and I love it a lot, Im a Hardcore NBA2ker/ESPN guy, I will say I haven't seen the sliding affect in LIVE at all from the 3 games I played to far. I still getting ESPN no matter what cause that my roots, do yourself a favor and buy Both games.

              lol bigeast..

in all of steves videos not once did I see CPU post player post a string of isomotion moves like that. it's gotta be human.

Its speculation on my part. but ive seen every video produced and not one post player has done that, thats controlled by a CPU player. i guess im hoping its not in there,

it doesnt help he posted up for ONE FRICKIN' second . even the real shaq needs at elast 6 seconds in the lane to get in good position

                  Re: Ign Review

Last year, he could have given ESPN a great score with the intentions of influencing people to buy a sub-par game. Which would then hurt VC's reputation when people discovered how lacking it was. This year, he could be trying to persuade people to not buy a product that is actually very good. I have never seen a review than took so many cheap shots at a game. And for it to go from a 9-point-something to an 8.1; for the game to get a lot worse than what it was. All of this just seems fishy to me. Who knows? This guy and/or this company could be getting paid by EA since EA seems kind of threaten after lowering their price, suddenly changing release dates, and after the effect that NFL 2k5 had on Madden's market share. If I'm wrong about IGN, I'll apologize tomorrow because I'm still getting the game.
ESPN NBA 2K5 COMING MY AND YOUR WAY SEPT. 29! MARK MY WORDS! IF I'M WRONG, THEN DAMN. MY BAD.

                      Re: Ign Review

I think this is the most interesting/offensive part of the review and nobody has picked up on it yet...

"Animations are nice and fluid, though there are a few rough spots. There is a need for more depth to animation so that collisions in all aspects of the game are accurately represented. When Camby is in the lane and Kobe leaps right at him for a dunk, Camby's feet shouldn't slide on the floor like he's moonwalking. One of them needs to budge or tumble or at least look like they are interacting."

So let's get this straight... sega is known for their animations and they look great from the videos I've seen from Steve yet all Hill can say on the positive side is they're "nice and fluid." He then goes out of his way to describe this "moonwalking" situation.

Funny... probably the biggest gripe people have had about EA's Live is the player skating so Hill goes out and says "look, ESPN has it too." Please. I just find it really interesting how the moonwalking in ESPN gets more attention in the review than the skating in the Live review. And for that to be all that was written about ESPN's animations is just ridiculous.

now I think I'll just wait for steve's review and then decide if I want the game or not....although it is only $20, so I might just pick it up anyways

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Man he takes things that arent even bad and makes comments on it that's bad. He backs Miller down for 2 seconds.. count it folks, then backs off, does a spin move when the help D comes over and tries to shoot a midrange jumper in their face with Shaq.....

Then he says "you cant even back Miller down on the hardest difficulty"...

The Ben Wallace video just does the simple post move spin, and then he throws it up and says Ben shouldnt be able to do this in the post... ROFLOL man... Can it get any worse... better yet bigeast/Wally, this is the funniest review I've ever seen.

He purposely zooms in on replays of things he fails at purposely to say its bad bad bad.. LOL!!!!!!
