    Re: Ign Review

for those reading our responses, you may consider we or I as fan boys trying to defend this VC Franchise's game. I think the consensus is just mad at the fact, he analysed every "bad aspect" of 2k5, called 24/7 a gimmick(when IMO, its more Deep than the dunk contestin live.. although it matters which ones funner), didn't once mention sliders as an option to fix some errors (there is a charge foul slider, Hilary ).

It's just a very unprofessional attempt to persuade everyone into the Live Fad, not that there is anything wrong with that.

I just think , there both NBA basketball games, and should be rated the same way, as a review like that is a huge factor for sales... and sales drive money to these production crews so they can make better games.

Reviews do matter, especially at a place like that.

Not only that but from the way he's reviewed games in the past, and how he's doing them now. We know what the deal is. It's just comedy. Ididnt bother reading the Live review either because I'm buying that one too. I'll form my own opinions, but you have to admit that this is some funny stuff man.

        Wait till Admiral50 see's this review :y4:

In the Shaq video the line is orange which show's he was being controlled by a human player, maybe with the ball handler icon off. I'm thinking twice about this and why does the player with the ball not have an icon under his feet? Something fishy is going on in IGN land!!
I think the user did control Shaq, but he just gave up on trying to back down his man. He did about 2 moves and then backed out and did spin moves. These moves were initiated by the user, and thus it's his bad for playing stupid and thus makes him a hypocrite when he blames the game for his inability to properly utilize Shaq inside.

I've watched Shaq play, and I've never seen him start to back down a guard for 2 seconds, before thinking better of it, backing out to the 3-point line, doing a spin move and then shooting a bad shot with a guy in his face.

That paragraph right there is what is wrong with the Shaq video, and it's all on the user side. Instead of trying to keep backing down the guard (Miller in this case), and maybe using an inside move, the user takes the ball out to the arch, does a spin move with a 300+ pound man, and tries to drop a J with someone in his face. That isn't the game's fault; it's the users for being an utter moron that is attempting to exploit and make the game look bad through "artificial" means.

Who says shaq can't do that spin. The guy can palm anything plus after all these years he has to have some ballhandling skills. No if would have made the shot then we have a problem. All I know is someone pissed him off

Well if you ask me, if Shaq can do what Iverson can do in the basketball court, I am done with ESPN. Especially if I see Shaq do a crossover in driving the basket.

I find it amusing a lot of people in here are bashing Hilary for his review saying he was paid off by EA yet nobody said anything when IGN gave ESPN a better score than Live last year.

I can picture all of you guys cussing a storm in front of the computer after reading the review and ready to choke out Hilary if you saw him in person for his ESPN NBA review.

RELAX... it's just a videogame. You can be your own judge when you get the game tommorow.

I must say IGN has to be happy knowing how much attention they get for their reviews.

                                Re: Ign Review

One reason I'll take Operation Sports' reviews over IGN's any day of the week is OS' advertisements never feature video games (from what I've seen.)

On IGN, EA Sports and Sega (to a lesser extent) both advertise their games on the site. To me, that poses a conflict of interest. Why? Because IGN's writers are reviewing games from the same companies that help pay their salaries. Honestly, do you think EA, Sega or any other company would continue to advertise with IGN if their games were constantly being given poor reviews?

By sporting no advertisements from any video game company, OS can provide us with a review without having to worry about what a negative score many mean to future revenue.
