Now I don't own 2k12 so I'm not sure but I had a method last yr (thanks to Chrome)PB has a blog on it too which simplifies the method but you could make a cap of a legend or hidden player then swap the players skin into the cap. This got me thinkin and I'm wondering if the classic teams have a special code that makes them different from regular teams and prevents you from trading. I know in 2k11, I could take a cap and with hex make him "permanent" to the point you couldn't edit anything just the skills like a regular player and if I attempted to release that "cap" it would delete that" cap" off the roster as if he was on a export team... I might end up picking up this game just to see if there's a code that's preventing us from trading legends from retro teams to regulars and hopefully I can find the difference in hex

Also which I forgot, you need hokup's blog ( big thanks to him) for the hidden stuff (logos, players, jerseys ,etc) and again this is based off 2k11 so I don't know if the process will work in 2k12 since I haven't picked up the game yet.

everything that worked last yrs trick wise still works . They only thing seems some player have been removed or partly removed like iverson only his pic is there not his cyber face. Have not dug deep since doing it in hex is a huge pain in the ***. That will have to wait for reditor beta to see who and what are hidden on the disc still.

I and a few other "very seasoned" moddders for NLSC are hard at work try to see were the classic team and there type or located so we can change them.

oh BTW regarding the nike ids unlock its basically the shoes its self how it is before you got to nike id and before you make the edits. You can change them at all on players. And they dont show up as unlock on the code aera. It basically was a pop that would come on everything i hit the home button in the menu. Kinda like jordans last year.

Not sure why 2k made big deal about them i thought it would be more shoes...

No, it's a settings file that I saved after unlocking two NBA greatest teams. This is my second file, I have it just in case the new settings save over it or something.

Guys, is it possible to assign a classic team's jersey to a current team? Was it possible in 2k11?

I want to give the Knicks the 90's knicks home jersey but it doesn't seem to work. Just want to know if it's possible or if I should quit trying.

yes just replace the code its easy, but if you want the neck line to be the same you will have to find the off set of the 90 kinck uni and then current knicks to do it. Its pain to do but it works.

Thanks for the quick response. How about the shorts? Any way I can get them normal (current) lenght or will they be shorter like they are on the Ewing's knicks jerseys?

Also, have you been able to do this in 2k12? When I just copy the code I get a black jersey with a square in the middle where the logo should be.

yes it works the shorts will stay the same legnth if you just change the code. And if its black u did something wrong the current knicks code is the ...u.h.0.1.4... so the other code just goes in place of the 0 1 4 thats it s easy.... It doesnt get any easier then that...

Ok, thanks. I'll try again when I get home. How can I get the shorts to be normal lenght? Is it just 1 value in the jersey code somewhere or more complicated than that?
