SIDE NOTE: Regarding the new DLC coming out, know alot of people have been ripping it. But since turning on my xbox today and see in part of the game menu know. Means that the code will be played off the disc. And the art download will be able to hex edited into the normal game. Yes this doesnt help the PC and PS3. But we have a 360. I will be getting it the day it is out. My idea is with all these new leagends be on it , that are already hidden on the disc but with black arms . with the DLC with will give them the right skin color. It look like will work alot like the cavs court update last year .

Also there are 3 unis sets hidden with in the hex code the turn out to be 513,514, and 900. But no where to be seen in text side of the file where uniforms are located. When added to a team there blank. Its seems that they my be related to the DLC. I am not sure if i am right or not , but think i am. Since the Time Sq courts in the hex file but theres no art for it in the game. The arena ID is 613 and if you go to hex file and fidn arena in text side and change 76ers arena code to 613 its all blank just the 76ers court.

This might be worth the $10.00, if you want to play with better looking retro rosters.
I'm almost certain they're actually adding content this year, not just unlocking what's already on the disc. When I fired up my game today, at the bottom of my screen it read something like "Downloading content...Do not turn off your system." That's not exactly what it said, but it was something along those lines. Then on the home screen it had the new DLC ad.

yea same process as cavs court last year so i think we can play with it in normal play with hex editing. the content will be replaceing some the hidden classic player art no more black arms. Regardless what is add there will be away to use it in game. I am almost certain of it..

Re: editing roster w/ hex editor?

The 1st DLC isn't adding any legends (Would of been nice if they added AI/Yao) but it claims to have 150 legends for that mode. Sucks that you can't use it in normal play but like you said they'll probably fix the arm glitch so the hidden guys should be fine hexing these guys in and the DLC will allow us to move the classic players without the export work around. With the news of a 1st DLC, I def would not be surprise if they don't add classic teams. Hopefully NBA2k.com is up and running soon bc I saw a section on the site that's called "ask a dev". Hopefully one of them could confirm if there would at least be some future classic teams added.(For some reason I feel Yao will be added,His post moves and everything were added to 2k12)(With AI, they pulled his player skin but then left his portrait,I can still see him added plus he was their cover boy at one time) With the NBA season in doubt, this would be a great time for 2K to turn this game into a classic/retro game. With more DLC, it with will lead to more hex edit possibilities(and to think the 1st DLC can only be edited by us xbox users)!

i dont think well see more teams with this DLC this might be the steping stone. But with the back lash thats on there face book page not seeing it happening. I am totally cool "paying" for that, but if they were smart they give these player % of the sales of the DLC some might make more but dam that life.

And also you have to think about the AI / Yao thing... They are no longer part of the players union. Yao is offically retired and A.I. has been in the league in over a yr. Kinda like marbury , he is signed over seas, so player you went to china for the season my not be in the default roster when or if the season start. And if Yao is not part of the retired player union like bird and magic and jerry west on some others. He would have to have a stand alone deal like MJ has. And Barkely and Miller tried to get.

But like i said before what get download will have some code that it will respond to some how of the disc. And then we can hex edit CAPS in these players and any art that is add will be hex or REDitor able... I can care less about the 2v2 and etc. This will be must by for retro roster fans. And when i mean retro anything before 98 because of player that no longer in the league are semi retried ala A.I.

I have hope of converting what i can from 2k11 rosters to 2k12, rating and tends with ease. But CAP faces i can almost say for sure not happening. Vlad has yet to show the make up of it the new reditor so if everything is in its same place like last year its a quick cut and paste into 2k12..... Just reminder its still early...

I totally agree with you man, I'll be purchasing this DLC on release just for the retro players not the modes lol Idk why people are crying over 10 dollars for this. I see this as a huge advance for this game

Will changing any of the jersey collars (Round, V-cut,etc) cover the finger marks on neck of the coaches hexed into players?

It would be more valuable to us then those PC freaks of talent. Like I sayin they already got so much advantage and to enjoy the game than us xbox pple already do. Vlad shoulda done this the other way around.
PC file is easier to decode: native endianess, no garbage, no need to plug/unplug flash-drives after all.
When PC is done, it's much easier to "port" the tool to work with 360 files, then it would be vice-versa. Plus, this year i use some new technique in doing that, which was developed based on the last year experience ))) So, will be faster, than prev. year.

hokupguy, i hope, everything's fine with your soccer school Will write a PM later a bit. Have been a bit ill and deadly busy this week... still, decoded pretty much regarding the Players tab. I'm going to finish it by next weekend and move forward to other tabs (which will certainly take less time - Players is the most laborous thing, you know: skills, tendencies, hotspots, then that gear... very many fields).

Anyway, DLC system doesn't make me any happier, as it seems like they changed the general file format this year a bit, because of it. So, would be hard to release REDitor before the first DLC is out, 'cause i'd like to know, how it affects the files.
Let's hope at least, they won't try to make editing process harder, 'cause of those DLCs (in case, they want to distribute mega-retro mod or whatever).

Hokupguy- quick question, say I exported the 94 rockets, could I change their jersey from that jersey to the older one, the 80s style, I think it's "retro 1" on the game, also did you find a way to change the jersey type to the super small shorts? In the end I really want the tiny shorts with the ABA nets jersey on an exported team, but I'd also like it for this rockets team.. If I can't change the shorts yet I'd still like to change the rockets jersey style from 90s to 80s if possible

Thanks Hokup! My next question, I'm going to assume I can export as many teams as I want but I'm limited to using 10 at a time. (Now base off 2k11) Was the Reditor the only way of adding more than 10 teams at a time for use(like I want to use 30 export teams in a custom season) last year (could have 256 teams at a time) or was there a way through hex to change a code for a Export team to show up as a " regular team". I only ask because I was thinking about taking all my classic export teams and starting a custom season but I'm limited to the 10 right now

yes we do but when you edit any of the teams uni era style the game crashs its not just short legnth its the whole look of the unis. We might have to wait for the new Reditor to get this to work and also maybe we wont be able too.
