Re: editing roster w/ hex editor?
For example...
CyberFaces are files in the following format pngXXXX.iff -- Where the X's are numbers associated to different players. This is the file that needs altered to change CyberFaces. The arenas are very similar but involve the sXXX.iff and fXXX.iff files.
I'm not going to go into detail as to why these files are not accessible to console users. Please be satisfied that there are capabilities to at least be able to edit the Roster files.
REDitor II will be basically the same for both PC and Xbox once finished, according to my understanding. Again, this has nothing to do with any other files outside of Rosters.
Some quotes from Vlad, the author of REDitor.
<center>REDitor II Release 9
This is the tool, which will help U to edit Roster-files of the brand new NBA 2K11 and MLB 2K11 games as well as the previous year NBA 2K10!
(Only PC versions of the games are supported)The second major focus is NBA 2K11 360 files, which are being worked in parallel with MLB 2K11 Tables. The release date of full NBA 2K11 360 files Tables is set to late-May.
Other plans will be published, when the future's more clear.
Good luck with editing and modding!Comment

Re: editing roster w/ hex editor?
We do not use REDitor II to alter Cyber Faces or Arenas, it's completely different areas of modding, and totally different files. REDitor II is only capable of adjusting/editing Roster files, nothing more.

Re: editing roster w/ hex editor?
Quick question -
With those here who create their own season rosters with the HEX editor, is the ability to eliminate the nickname PBP (ABC, Big Cat, etc.) possible?
Thanks.Comment

Re: editing roster w/ hex editor?
Thanks for the quick response hokupguy. I appreciate it.
I have another question -
I did a search and found REDitor version 9 available for download. It says FREE version. After looking at some screen shots of it, its definitely far closer to Finn's ESPN NFL 2K5 editor than what the HEX editor is. The HEX editor looks like nothing more but a bunch of numbers and letters and I have no clue what any of that means.
Anyway, the REDitor looks pretty good and I just downloaded and installed it but how do I open a roster file? I downloaded Portland Blazer's 1999/2000 roster via rapid share and have it on my desktop but when I click on file in the REDitor, nothing is listed.
Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.Last edited by peter77733; 04-13-2011, 01:07 AM.Comment

Re: editing roster w/ hex editor?
9th version doesnt really have anything working verison 10 should have full player renaming. But what you can do with the free one is play with it and see all the things there. That's it can't save the file and test in game.
But yes its hell of lot easier then any hex editiing tool out there. And it make things so much quicker. I know i should have my hands one new verison tomorrow. I have worked with 3 this each do more in more, but like anything there is always dam bug some where to squach with any type of tool or hardware. I can promise all of you it will be worth the wait...."Never say never, because limits are like fears and they are often just an illusion."-M.J.Comment

Does this mean it will be compatible with MLB 2K11 on XBOX 360 also? If so, definite buy for me.Comment
