Multiple posts in this thread refer to, I guess, a partially completed 2kshare file that has been uploaded and tested and feedback given. perhaps I have overlooked the file name or username.

A few posts have now inquired regarding the file name. Is it available for other interested OSers to try and , if so, may we get the name of the file?

    Thanks in advance.

a file was uploaded back in November, that was the last update for xbox360. A LOT of findings and concept changes have been made since then. The gamertag is hyperballer34, but i forget the file name. the date should be in November though

fwiw, for your current file - both pc and/or 360 - i would like to see it released after 1 and 2 are completed. then again when everything done.

Can you release a file for the PC crew so we can test things out for you. Just in case there are any hiccups.

Also, you mentioned something about the D-League. Do we have to retire the players with the age of 45? I am not sure what you did here.

It seems that defensive players shine more (ratings wise) than one way players. Was this done on purpose or is this just the way 2K's ratings work?

How did you make Elton Brand so high?
How did you make Enderson Varejoa so high?

So there are only 7 players with an 80 rating on this roster? 1 person a 90?

2k's rating system emphasizes defense and rebounding. That is why you see Brand and Varejao higher than you would think they are. Both are solid rebounders and post defenders.

Out of all of the current players, a select few hit the 80 mark. But once you see the "greatest mode" teams, you will see how current players compare to legends from a historical standpoint. '96 Michael Jordan is the only other player to have a 90 Overall.

What about Magic and Bird? They didn't get a 90 rating? They are two of the best 10 playersin NBA History.

Magic and Bird are 79 and 83 in their peak respectively:

Magic: Although is Awareness and passing is very high... his height, lack of on ball d, speed, and quickness keeps his rating down as a PG. Here are his Overalls if you change his position w/out touching anything else:
                          PG- 79
                          SG- 82
                          SF- 84
                          PF- 80
                          C- 77

As you can see, putting him at SF enhances his overall because in today's game that would be his natural position

Bird: Bird is perhaps the best "pure" basketball player ever. What hurts his overall in this game is his lack of athleticism. If you were to give LeBron's athletic ratings to Larry Bird, his overall will jump up to 91 also.

Jordan: Most of may have a problem with our roster just because LeBron is 91 and the highest rated Jordan is 90. Here is the explaination:
                          1) LeBron is at SF in this game, while MJ is at SG. This alone gives LeBron a boost. Lets see what happens when we put MJ at SF;
                          1986- 81 ovr
                          1989- 87 ovr
                          1991- 89 ovr
                          1993- 91 ovr
                          1996- 93 ovr
                          1998- 87 ovr

Jordan is equal to or higher than LeBron on 2 different occasions. Keep in mind that LeBron has higher pass and strength abilities.

                          2) Clutch does not weigh heavy in this year's game as far as ratings are concerned. But trust me when I say this, when it counts, Jordan is better.

1998 Jordan (83 ovr) vs Pippen (85 ovr): see explaination above about how Overall ratings are affected by different positions. Also, this was Jordan's last season as a Bull while Pippen would continue to play 5 more seasons.

I'm pretty sure Magic Johnson's natural position would be at PG in any era.

As a rookie roster/attribute editor. Am I correct in feeling that the Overall ratings are worthless/to be ignored? And to just focus on the individual attributes? And whatever the players OVR is, so be it?
