**GM PRO TIP** Try to avoid maxing his potential until after he signs a restricted deal. Those expressive guys tend to leave in free-agency alot and if you build him to lets say a 94 potential by the time he's 23 he will have star wriiten all over him and you will start seeing him say "I think free-agency is my best option." I learned the hard way lol

Would you all recommend using this draft classes with Sim World rosters or just default? I have an official roster where I edited in Vannwolfhawk's playbook edits, but also DLed the updated sim world rosters from a few pages ago.
I know on page 1 you seem to indicate these are for Sim World but I feel as though the rookie overalls are more in line with a default roster than your Sim World (as a lot of players' ratings decrease in Sim World, which makes the rookies actually seem over-rated - like if Lillard is a 73, how are there multiple 73-75 rookies in a draft?).
I'm about ready to start up an association, just can't figure out which rosters to use. All your hard work is appreciated, I've been reading up on the PP presentations while I get ready to start.
EDIT: I hope the kid from MD is a sleeper in the early 2nd round of your first draft, b/c a) he's from MD and b) the phrase "desire and ability to dunk on anyone" sounds super exciting.Last edited by RAVENOUS; 04-12-2013, 05:49 PM.ORIOLES

Re: (XBox360) CWSapp757/Dreece NBA 2K13 Realistic Fictional Draft Classes
I honestly do not think that the rookies are overated at all. Of the 5 drafts, there are only a couple where there are multiple players between 73 - 75 and one of those drafts is draft three which we hyped as one of the "best draft classes in years". In addition to that, I kind of feel like your opinion of Lilard is that he is so talented that it should be rare that someone in one of the draft classes enter the league with a higher overall rating than him. I personally feel like people are overrating Lilard as an overall player and I do not think that it is a stretch to say that more than one player in any future draft comes in to the league as a better OVERALL player than Lilard.
I would never ever ever ever ever suggest that my draft classes work best with the default roster because I feel that the default roster is the definition of overrated players that almost all develop in to stars. My players would get lost in the shuffle with the default roster as these draft classes have been made with the sole purpose of ensuring that there are not too many All Star and Superstar players. I hope I don't come off sounding angry or aggressive as that is not my intention.
With that being said, thank you a bunch for the kind words. Im sure that you will find at least a few players that are to your liking man. Be sure to come back and let use know who you end up getting. And shoot me an email if you would like to be on the scouting report mailing list.SimWorld NBA 2K19 Fictional Draft Classes

Last but not least, I mentioned that there are two different versions of these draft classes. The first with a lower potential range and the second with a higher potential range. We tried to make it so that the classes could be used with almost any roster.SimWorld NBA 2K19 Fictional Draft Classes

Re: (XBox360) CWSapp757/Dreece NBA 2K13 Realistic Fictional Draft Classes
Lol, just finished drafting season 1 for my Wizards association using DC1 and the Sim World rosters from a few pages ago. The Cavs, with the #1 overall pick, took a PG, and it wasn't even Packett (William Jenkins).
I had the 10th pick and was gonna go for Emmanuel Griffin since he was going 11th in the mock draft board, but he ended up going 7th. Jarvis Martin fell to me all the way at 10th, which was cool, since he was projected 3rd.
What's wacky though is that Justin Washington fell all the way to the Nets at 22. And JaVon Martin, who went 2nd, and Emmanuel Griffin, who went 7th, kept getting traded for worse and worse picks throughout the draft.
I got a trade offer from the 6 and 7 teams which I tried to negotiate without giving up my 10th pick, on the hopes of getting both Martin and Griffin to entirely replace my ridiculously overpaid frontcourt. Unfortunately, with these rosters, I just don't have the pieces to trade for a lottery pick without giving up my own lottery pick (or probably Wall, but he's off-limits).
It just made me laugh that after refusing every trade offer I could think of for the 7th pick, the Hornets took Griffin, but then traded him with another player for the 12th pick. Then Griffin got traded again for the 20th pick. I wish game developers could recognize and fix stupid little things like this. Really not trying to do this 30-team style...
Anyway, I'll go ahead and try starting one up with just regular rosters and see if I can get this to not pan out so wonky.ORIOLES

Edit: Maybe the Cavs GM read our scouting report and seen that William Jenkins dropped 30+ on Kareem and Kentucky and he fell in loveThats how I try to make sense of some of the madness that happens during the draft Sapp is a 30 team guy I'm not so we try to have discussions o the draft all the time. Sometimes it works well sometimes it's all over the place.

Re: (XBox360) CWSapp757/Dreece NBA 2K13 Realistic Fictional Draft Classes
Yeah, I had all 5 v2 classes downloaded via 2kshare, those are what I'm using. Maybe you all can help me actually get started as opposed to waffling around between all these options I'm thinking of. I'm new to the NBA 2k series as of about 10 days ago, but I have experience messing around with Madden rosters/sliders/etc (though Madden always made me give up entirely before I had any kind of decent franchise running).
My plan is to start today, simulate next season also, and then play from there (I really can't afford a passable coach as the Wizards until Wittman's contract expires). The first association I ran I did some fairly "cheesy" trades to get Wiggins in my second draft before playing (dumping Nene and Okafor's contracts for picks, getting rid of Beal b/c I don't like 6'3" for a SG. Also lets me afford a good SG in free agency, Tyreke Evans, Iggy, and JR Smith are all out there year 1, and in my first association the Pacers drafted Shabazz Muhammad so I was able to sign Paul George year two. I'm trying to focus on drafting 3-5 given the abundance of SGs in the game).
Now that I know a little more about the game though I just can't find realistic draft classes RL-based draft classes because I'm nitpicking details. That has landed me with your fictional DCs, which take details very seriously.
My plan is to play 1 game against each team each season, so I'm not "out of touch" with my assoc., sim the rest of the reg season games, and of course do the playoffs. I'd really like to be competitive from the get-go ('14-'15 season), since 29 48-minute games plus a potential 28 more in the playoffs will take me some time (not looking to be finally competitive several months from now). I guess the Wizards are actually over .500 this season with Wall in the lineup, and if they hadn't started 4-28 without him might actually have made the playoffs, so I may not have as far to go as I think.
I guess the only minor deterrent I have from using your classes is that DC1, and in particular 2, seem to be (comparatively to the others) really weak classes, which won't necessarily be conducive to me adding a highly valuable piece or two by the time I start playing. It also looks more difficult to open up space for a good FA by trading Nene/Okafor with modified rosters (can't fault the improved realism there though).
I'd like to steer clear of Washington in DC1 despite him dropping so far in the draft, because SG seems by far the easiest spot to get a player in this game, and by your own admissions he is a "boring" player.
IDK, I'm rambling here, I guess I just need to pick a base roster and friggin' start. One last question, do you guys make use of development drills? I wasn't planning to, as I don't think the CPU does for it's players, and it just seems like I could take almost any player and increase his OVR by several points in a given season (I definitely do Training Camps in offseason though). If this isn't conisdered "cheesy" I might take a player like Dennis Scott in DC1 and work the bejesus out of him to get a nice skillset complimenting his explosive dunking.ORIOLES

Don't pay attention to if you think a draft is weak overall the key to the draft is to get a guy at best value for your pick. Heck if you think no player fits your team make a trade for a future pick. It's no guarantee that any of those so called stars in any of our drafts will gain a single point in overall.....can we say BUST!! And it's not to far fetch that one of those unknown guys won't turn out to be Rip Hamilton...that's your job to scout and find the many hidden gems across all of our classes.
I use the end of season drill because I only control 1 team and that will be the chance I get to shape my prospects to my liking. I never use the in season drills because it's way to easy to make your whole team good by seasons end every season.
Despite my own admission I'm not a big fan of JoJo as a player but I'm definitely a fan of his offense and that's why he's starting for me in my Cavs association. Now I have him I'm going to work on a few key element's to his game and boom I got a mega star!! Thank you Sapp lol
It's not hard to be competitive by the 2014 season I run a similar format to your as I run a 82 game season but I only play 25 regular season games then every game of the playoffs. I got the Cavs at 32-20 @ the all star break during the 2014-15 season and I didn't make any cheesy moves to get my squad
PG-Kyrie Irving
SG-Justin "JoJo" Washington(DC1 1st round 14th)
SF-Shabazz Muhammad
PF-Tristan Thompson
C-Joakim Noah
PG-Kareem Packett(DC1 1st round 4th)
C-Anderson Varejao
PF-Kendall Latimer(DC1 1st round 22nd)
PF-Jon Leuer
C-Jimmy Alexander(DC1 2nd round)
PG-Tim Hardaway Jr.
SF-Stephen Jackson
PG-Juan Encarnacion(DC1 2nd round)
PF-Emaka Okafor
I try to keep my teams as realistic as possible going season to season and I'm very much looking forward to drafting DC2 because a young talent can be molded...arre you up to it???Last edited by Dreece; 04-12-2013, 09:17 PM.SimWorld NBA 2K19 Fictional Draft Classes

@Sapp last page I didn't mean to the phrase "overrated" to be as negative as it sounds (stupid on my part, obviously it sounds negative), I definitely didn't take your response to be angry or overaggressive. I don't really have a notion of what the rosters look like multiple years down the road. Thanks guys for doing these classes and furthermore taking the time to respond (quickly!) to some anon guy's comments in your thread.Last edited by RAVENOUS; 04-12-2013, 09:27 PM.ORIOLES

@RAVENOUS truthfully those guys put as much detail in their roster projects as we put into these classes so I don't wanna sell any of them short. I have used vtcrb rosters and they were great. Check a few roster threads and see if they have what your looking for. Matter fact download them all and then you can make a clearer judgement for how you like to run your association.
And everybody that responds we treat like family no randoms over here brojust don't become the black sheep of the family lol.
