I just read through all the scouting reports for DC1... Ohh my, am I excited to see these players play... You guys do an awesome job.

Another suggestion is a Div 3 school's player getting a chance in the draft, maybe just go and randomly pick a D3 school whenever you see fit and make a storyline about how he bounced around schools for 5 years and finally graduated from the D3 school. Something like got recruiting at a major ACC school but grades kept him from going, played frosh ball at Iowa State, got into some trouble with the law, went to a JuCo in cali and redshirted to get his life together. Played a year at the JuCo tearing it up and going deep in the playoffs, then getting a call from a Pac-12 team asking him to try out for the team, he does and makes the team but can't afford to pay for schooling and drops out to a D3 Program to finish his career.

LOL, just a suggestion... This one not as serious as the Hawaii one...

I have an idea I started work on one of my own fictional draft classes but never really finished it.

2 twin shooting guards. 1 goes to UNC, 1 goes to Duke and they face off in the national championship game(or an intense tournament game).

They each have opposite playing styles. 1 of them is not a good athlete, but is extremely polished and has an insane skill level, while the other has his game predicated on elite athleticism and does not have close to the skill level of the other.

Been looking through the DC6 scouting report. Some very interesting players in there. I might resign my position as GM with the Magic and take over a new team to start building with this DC, since my Magic team is pretty much set.

I cant tell you guys how much this thread has meant to me getting back in love with video games again. I'm 34 years old and just dont have the time like I used to, but with these I've been able to just enjoy myself again and not deal with the stresses of life for an hour at a time. Thank you all. Now back to my association!

Quick question for you guys since I haven't used any of your classes for 2k13 yet: How do you guys approach Signature Skills? Do you let guys grow into them and acquire them on their own or do you give top-flight guys 3/4/5 sig. skills? Just curious because I'm never really sure how much or what to give guys.

The most I generally ever give in a draft is 4. There may be one or two players in each draft with four or so. But i also don't like to base it on overall either. I usually just base it off of individual ratings. I remember I had a guy that was at the top of the draft that had zero sig skills and a 63 overall player that had three sig skills. The 63 overall player had amazing defensive ratings but his offensive ability was just so low that his overall suffered. But to answer your question, I try to make a whole draft and then I go back and look at inidividual ratings and if those ratings that are attached to a certain sig skill is high then I give it to them.

While I'm in the thread I did want to make a say a couple of things.

1) Friday I finished my Masters program so I will have MUCH more time to dedicate to these so they will start to come out faster than they have recently.

2) I saw a couple pages back that someone said they wanted to see more traditional powerhouse schools represented in the draft. I took it upon myself to make a full spreadsheet of of how each school/country is represented in each draft. Although it doesnt match the 20+ that Kentucky has had in the past 9 drafts, this is what our numbers look like. (Note: I said 9 draft classes because even though we have only released 6 we have the player data for the next three classes complete already)

UNC 15, Duke 13, Kentucky 13, Arizona 12, Michigan 12, Florida 11, Spain 11, Uconn 10, Indiana 10, Michigan State 10, Nigeria 10, Ohio State 10, Wisconsin 10, Cincy 9, Georgetown 9, Georgia Tech 9, Louisville 9

I honestly don't think that's too bad. I am going to send the full spreadsheet to everyone on the email list so that they can find a player from a certain school and know which draft you can expect to see them in.

Lastly, me and Dreece have discussed the lack of overseas players and it has defnitely been addressed. From DC7 on there will be a much larger number of overseas players in the draft. It was initially in the 5 - 15 area but we are raising it to the 16 - 25 area per draft.

Does it matter if we use the classes out of order? Would we have to change anything like ages or birth years??

Also, just out of curiosity, what roster set do you guys, CWSapp and Dreece, use these DCs with? Or have you been so busy making them that you don't even have a chance to play?
