    Player suggestion:

You guys did this in previous titles, but what about a Shaun Livingston/Greg Oden type player? Someone who was hyped up with potential, but an injury set him back. One created player I made was was drafted number one bc of his potential, but his durability was so low that his career has been plagued with injury after another.

Blindside talks with the Australian Sensation…. Poing Guard Andy Heller

Before we begin, big shout out to Melbournelad for the time on this.

Hey guys, BlindSide here again. Ever since I joined up with Sapp & Dreece they've had me all over the world catching up with some of the biggest prospects in college ball. Today though takes me very close to home. I'm in Australia, just "across the ditch" from the place I call home speaking with Andy Heller, Point Guard, Top 10 draft prospect and all around good guy.

BlindSide: Andy. You participated in the Nike Summit exhibition game against Team USA. Some would say the International team wasn't fully represented. How do you feel you performed?

Heller: Yeah I was surprised when we left out Domingo Vargas. I assumed he would've been one of the first ones picked!

On my performance, I feel like I did a decent job running the offense and I was pleased having no turnovers. At the same time I'll be the first to admit that I wasn't up to the defensive standard I strive to set for myself. My matchup had 14 and 11 on efficient shooting.

Also, I just want to say as a team I think we wore our heart on our sleeve and did an admirable job against some world class talent. Especially with our short handed roster. Best of luck to my Nike Summit teammates and i look forward to playing against them in the NBA.

BlindSide: You did lead the International team in scoring though. Now I feel like the hype surrounding you is deserving of the performance you had that game. You've already drawn some comparisons to Steve Nash. Is he somebody that you drew inspiration from for your own game?

Heller: I've seen many of the Steve Nash comparisons man (especially on sappscouting.com), and to be honest I think they only originated due to my shooting stroke being similar haha. And being pretty adept at the pick n roll game.

The one player I drew the most inspiration from was actually Rajon Rondo. He is a deceptively great defender and rebounder for his position, and that's something I look to incorporate for myself (along with his passing). I also have seen the intensity and hustle that Rondo can bring in the playoffs, and I try to bring that all season long as well (no disrespect to Rajon). There is one polar opposite to our game though. Scoring wise, Rondo does most of his damage getting to the bucket, while that is the weakness to my game I'd say, most of my scoring comes from being a decent jump shooter.

BlindSide: Well you know how things get labeled these days. But either way Rajon or Steve are two great names for you to be compared with. Now we've had a lot of great PGs enter the league. One of the most notable being Adam Cameron. And now Whakil Blackshear and Ayo Wilson are getting ready for draft night. What is it about you that makes you stand out in such a deep position?

Heller: I don't want to be immodest man, but I'm a consummate professional. I'll always put forth 110% each game, and work as hard as possible in practice to improve my game. I see some guys in the league wasting an outstanding opportunity they have, and I just don't understand it. Whichever team drafts me can count on selfless play and putting the team first. I think that's one quality that sets me apart from my competition.

BlindSide: Well that is definitely a quality that I personally would love to know before drafting you. Which actually leads me to my next question. For those who don't already know you will be declaring for this upcoming draft. So the question is, If you had the choice what would be your ideal situation to come into in the NBA next summer?

Heller: Yeah yeah It's cliche, but getting drafted by any team would be the ideal situation. Whether It's getting the chance to start my career as a role player on a contender and just soaking up knowledge from veterans, or helping lead a young team into the future as a starter, I'm ready to help whichever team drafts me.

Although I will say, If I was to somehow end up on the Lakers it would be a dream come true.

BlindSide: Well there you have it folks, Australias newest sensation to enter the biggest stage in basketball. Thank you for your time today Andy. Fingers crossed you have the attention of the Lakers front office after today. Me and the other guys wish you all the best come draft night and for the rest of your career. Is there anything else you would like to add before we wrap this up?

Heller: Yeah I just want to thank the fans that have helped me generate enough exposure for me to get to this point, also thanks to you guys over at sappscouting.com for conducting this interview. Probably the best NBA draft site going around.

Yea or AI will draft a PG with their top draft pick to back up Derrick Rose...ok maybe not too bad...or trade for Trey Burke and sit him onnthe bench.

                  What's your play plan?

I played all games season 1 and did all offseason then season 2 I played about 15 games and simmed to playoffs. Now playing all playoff games. I wish I would have did control 30, but I really don't want to restart now. I've got too many games invested.

Atm I don't really have one aside from experimenting with game plans and player combinations and trying to get some understanding of CPU trade logic etc.
Plus I'm gonna be busy working with Sapp on some DC7 stories for you guys.
So for me personally I'd much rather wait for Association 2.0

Could this be the end for Oregon basketball?

                          November, 19, 2021

Who could forget the “Pay for Play scandal” surrounding Oregon and the subsequent 4 year disqualification from tournament play. Senior SF, Trey Dabney was first to express his uncertainty in regards to his future with the school. It has surfaced in recent months that Lorenzo Robinson (PF) has similar feelings. It should come as no surprise though due to his and Dabneys close friendship. In the wake of the scandal the basketball program fell apart to no surprise. Without a proper staff to run things the level of future interest fell dropped off the radar completely. The only player of note still playing in Oregon aside from these two seniors is freshman E.J. Washington. We couldn’t reach any of these guys to get their comments but from the way things look it’s going to take a miracle to revive Oregon from the depths and put them back into the running for NCAA greatness.

Von Rushing's college career was much shorter than expected

                          December 4, 2021

Von Rushing, the Virginia Cavaliers 7’6 freshman center, has been ruled academically ineligible for the remainder of the season. According to reports, two papers that were turned in by the center were proven to be plagiarized. This story gets more interesting as we dig deeper however. Allegedly, Rushing was been receiving much more than “a bit of assistance” while in high school as well. Former students and teachers have stated that the center received A’s on tests and quizzes without even taking them and may have had someone else take his SATs. “He was one of the nicest guys that I have ever worked with” one anonymous high school teacher said. “But fair is fair and it was not fair that he did not have to lift one finger for the grades that he received”.

Another anonymous teacher at the same high school shared a bit of a different view on the situation. “It was more than evident that the kid had a learning disability. It’s not that he is not intelligent but there is clearly some type of issue there. No one wanted to take the time to figure out what the problem was as long as he was putting up 30 points and 20 rebounds a night. Now we have a kid that is about to hit the real world and doesn’t even know what his problem is or why he can’t comprehend things the way his peers can. Great job school system”.

Von Rushing has stated that he would not appeal the decision and made this official statement through the school. “I am extremely embarrassed by my actions and the negative attention that it has brought to myself and my school. I will not specify which of the rumors are true and which are not but I will say that I do not deserve to be eligible for the remainder of the season. Also at this time, I would like to announce that I will be leaving the University of Virginia and declaring myself eligible for the NBA Draft next year”.

Let’s hope that Von gets the help that he deserves.

As for some ideas, just some stuff that popped into my head:
                            • A top recruit who commits to a school only to announce he won't play for them that season and will instead prepare for the NBA Draft.
                            • A player who pulls a Larry Bird/Elena Della Donne and leaves college and quits basketball, only to pick it up a few years later and go back to school.
                            • I dunno if you guys have had a guy get drafted after playing in the D-League yet, like Glen Rice Jr. or Latavious Williams.

You guys probably were looking for more general stuff, but I figured I'd chime in to try and help and start getting rid of my debt that I'm in to you guys for creating these draft classes

                              Hey Sapp,
I like this guy's idea of a player committing to a school and not play and just prepare for the draft. If you are willing could this be the back story for my player. And I will email the rest of the stuff my player either today or tomorrow depending on how time I have and how much 2k I play.
