The Dark Side of Utah’s Dorian Francis
For four years Dorian Francis has been a forced to be reckoned with at Utah. He was the freshman of the year three years ago and has set records at Utah. From the outside looking in, this year has been no different than the previous three. He is putting up 20+ points and has been leading his team to what appears to be yet another NCAA tournament appearance. Last week, two hours before a matchup with USC, coach Larry Krystkowiak simply stated “Dorian won’t be able to play tonight”. Initially it was reported that it was an ankle sprain. However, games went on and Dorian was no where to be seen. Not on the bench, not on campus…. No where. But that’s when the pictures started hitting the Internet. Pictures of Dorian Francis at a party apparently snorting cocaine. Today the university could no longer cover up what appears to be a MUCH bigger problem than a simple ankle sprain. Utah's athletic director Chris Hill made this statement earlier today:
“We are releasing the information with the permission of Dorian and his family. Without going into what we would consider to be unnecessary details, we want to announce that Dorian Francis is currently in rehab. We do not want to rule out the possibility of him returning to the team at some point during the basketball season but of course, the well being of our students comes before athletics.”
While Utah is a decent team, there is no one that can take on the scoring load that Dorian has. Francis has been their leader in more ways than one and it is going to be a MAJOR adjustment going forward without him. With that being said, this is less about basketball and more about hoping that a young man can get the help he needs so that he can return to the basketball court and continuing being one of the best players in the country. Dorian…. You are in our prayers young man.

Gregory Livingston takes pleasure in bringing you misery
Ryan Stafford (Duke), Darryl Jones (Cincy), Justin Copeland (North Carolina)…. Just some of the most recent players that have taken home defensive player of the year honors. The before mentioned guys all had something in common. They all played for stacked teams where they were not carrying the load for their team. Now of course that isn’t meant to take away from what those three guys did. Copeland won back to back defensive player of the year awards, Darryl Jones did it as a freshman and Ryan Stafford may be the best defender that the NCAA had seen in twenty years. Gregory Livingston however, has done this pretty much on a team all by himself.
Gregory Livingston hit the scene last year and made his presence known immediately. Livingston held the high scoring Indiana State forward Andre McMillan to only 5 points, 4 turnovers and enough frustration that his coach pulled him from the game early. Livingston wasn’t pleased with just shutting down the star forward as he was seen winking and blowing sarcastic kisses at McMillan as he sat infuriated on the bench. Livingston went on to finish fifth in the defensive player of the year voting as a freshman. This year, Livingston has improved his offensive game and has been on fire defensively. Averaging over three blocks a game and almost three steals a game, Livingston may be the most feared defender in the nation. “I just enjoy showing players that they are not as good as they think that they are” Livingston stated when asked he enjoys most about playing defense. I find it hard to believe that this talented young man will return for a junior season BUT…. Anything is possible. Livingston is currently in the driver’s seat to take home defensive player of the year honors.

March 3, 2016
So who is the player of the year? Here are our top three candidates
C – Ray Ray Francis – Stanford – Sophomore
(21.5 ppg – 8.2 rpg – 1.8 apg)
Only Ray Ray knows why he came back to Stanford after last year. While Francis was a scoring machine last year, he did make some freshman mistakes and often times tried to force things. This year, Ray Ray Francis has shown more maturity, an improved mid range jumper (even though it was already near unstoppable) and a variety of go to post moves. The problem is that Stanford has had a mediocre season. They lost a ton of close games and at this point, they don’t look like they are going to make the tournament. While Ray Ray may have been the best player this year, his team’s lack of success will probably be the biggest reason he does NOT be the player of the year.
G –Adam Cameron- Syracuse – Freshman
(16.2 ppg – 5.0 rpg – 6.8 apg – 2.1 spg - 1.2 bpg)
I feel like we have talked about Adam Cameron too much this year. Maybe we have but when you are as good as this kid is, it is justified. A month ago we talked about how Cameron has been the leader of this marvelous freshman trio that has led the Syracuse Orange to a 31 and 3 record and pretty much cemented them as a 1 seed in the tournament. Cameron has been everywhere on the court when he is needed. He can get to the basket, hit the three, dish it, rebound and lock down the opposition. His consistency contributing in every facet of the game is the main reason that I believe the player of the year award will come down to him and…..
F – Kurtis Holden – North Carolina – Senior
(18.9 ppg – 9.2 rpg – 2.9 apg - 1.7 bpg)
Kurtis Holden had to share the paint with Justin Copeland for three years. For better or worse, the two of them were as scary of a offensive/defensive combination as combo in the country. Copeland bolted to the NBA and Holden decided to stay for his final year to not only get his degree but be THE leader of this Tar Heel team. Even with the emergence of two very talented freshman in Will Lanier and Sian Strickland, Holden was by far the most dominant player on the team and in the ACC. Even with this team losing the majority of their talent he led a team that probably wouldn’t even be a tournament team to a 26 and 6 record. In addition, his 29 point, 14 rebound performance against Duke in the ACC tournament is still fresh in the mind of... well everybody. If Holden does take home player of the year honors, people won’t be able to say he didn’t earn it.

Re: The Game Changers NBA 2K14 Fictional Draft Classes by CWSapp757/Dreece for XBOX 3
Now with these last stories being released we are heading for the NCAA tournament! A few things I wanted to say to you guys:
1) dpower just asked but I wanted to confirm for anyone that was wondering. Me and Dreece are indeed aiming for Saturday or possibly Sunday to get the first class out. We will continuously update you on our progress as the week goes on but as of now we are looking pretty darn good.
2) For anyone that doesn't know, we like to get everyone involved come tournament time. Tomorrow a bracket will be mailed to anyone that is on the email list. After I send the bracket to everyone I use a random number selector to reach the final four before Dreece actually records and uploads the final four games. We ask everyone that would like to participate to pick their final four teams. Whoever guesses the most teams right will win a prize (probably a 20 dollar gift card or something like that). If we have more than one person, those individuals will pick who they think will make it to the championship game and what they think the final score will be.
ONCE AGAIN, IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE ON THE EMAIL LIST (which will ensure you get the scouting report email to you for each class, tournament brackets and info on all of our classes) please either email me at [email protected] or leave your email in this thread. Thanks guys!SimWorld NBA 2K19 Fictional Draft Classes

Daaaammmnn my man Dorian on thay yayo!?!......so sad
And blowing kisses lol..that sounds like me out thereLast edited by Dreece; 10-15-2013, 01:42 AM.SimWorld NBA 2K19 Fictional Draft Classes

Looks like my post got deleted as well.
I was gonna say, most of last years classes and DC 1 this year don't seem to have many great PG's at the top of the draft, but have alot of wings that are top prospects? Was that intentional?Comment

No worries, yeah I was just thinking in terms of perennial allstar/superstar PG's. But I understand why you chose to do it, there are definately an overabundance of quality PG's when you start Association compared to other positions.Comment

ultimately guys, you wanna keep in mind that tese draft classes may be fictional but they are made to mimmick real life going forward in your associations.
that being said... there is not always balance in a group of draft classes, there are many year spans that positions are overloaded by trends or lack of develeopement in other areas & there times where you simply must make due with whats available & decide if you're gonna decide to rebuild maily through FA & trades or tough it out with lottery pick that would be a 2nd rounder in any other draft.
we don't always get superstar draft classes (tis past year proves that)... but do know that there is a method to the madness... we got it under control sirs.Comment
