Significant differences is not nearly putting it correctly lol. Let me see if I can put it into better reference form.
1. Generic coaches, assistant coaches, scouts, staff members WILL ALL BE GONE and replaced by the current and accurate staff of every single NBA team. Each assistant coach will take a role for each team. To make it more evident here is an example of how the Lakers staff members will be labeled.
Head Coach: Mike D'Antoni
Lead Assistant Coach: Dan D'Antoni
NBA Scout: Kurt Rambis (he will also be included in head coaches free agency)
Prospect Scout: Johnny Davis (he will also be included in assistant coaches free agency)
You will see numerous assistant coaches in different staff member areas but that is because to give it a reality based setting (call it a promotion) and give you opportunities to hire them in different areas.
2. Free Agency Pool the most accurate and the biggest any roster set will have with all players having their career year by year statistics included as well as their player bio being accurate.
3. Future draft picks included in prior trades that ARE NOT PROTECTED will have been made to the correct teams. All protected picks will be listed for you to reference and make as you advance in your own associations.
4. Player injuries from start of season implemented meaning Kobe Bryant will be out til Dec. 8th against the Raptors, Rajon Rondo will be out indefinetly and so forth. Players like Derrick Rose and Tyson Chandler will be available opening night and used as you see fit during your associations.
In other words this is going to be the association file template that ANYONE who likes to play this mode will want to use not only for this years game, but probably for the next years game since Association mode was trashed and replaced with yet another MYmode that from reading feedback not only has a valley full of glitches, but completely takes Association mode leaps and bounds backwards for next gen players.
