ya it was weird, i didnt even switch any settings in the first game i played vs the Pacers but they were making subs. all i did was take control over the cpu team to start the game and then after the tip, move it back to cpu and they subbed just fine. it must recognize the 2 player game as being rotation subbing when ur start it and leaves it as rotation even when you switch the team back to cpu

Re: the_future420's Simulation All-Star Sliders
Note: I've already upped rebounds a bit to around 25 for defensive.
Im on superstar with these sliders, and I have to bring the minutes down to 10, cuz Im easily going past 100 every game. I really want a 19-17 1st quarter or 41-37 half time score.
But everything else is looking good, I upped my coaching sliders for offensive rebounds, and now the guys stay under the basket if they can get it.
FG% stays around 40-55%, and PiTP is ok as well.
I think I just need to take my time on offence, and then maybe I could play 12 minutes.
Great Sliders tho.Comment

Re: the_future420's Simulation All-Star Sliders
Guys, I've been playing some games and stamina needs to be around 42 for both CPU/USER I've been using that setting for awhile. Well actually Im not playing right now, but I know the fatigue number is between 40-43 for both sides. I think its 42 though.
Another thing, Speed at 41 for CPU and 45 for user.
Rebounding i've changed a bit
I have Offensive Rebounding around 45 for CPU/USER
I have Defensinve Rebouding around 66 for CPU/USER
Still tweaking a bit and I just haven't been playing as much as I would like for various reasons. Those are some changes that you guys can make for whomever is still following this thread.
Thanks for all the feedback guys.Comment

Re: the_future420's Simulation All-Star Sliders
Sure thing.
Something else that Im looking at that alot of you guys may not like:
Switching to 11 minute quarters.
The reason behind this is because of the simple fact that there just aren't enough non-steal turnovers in this game.
2k doesn't have enough traveling calls, offensive foul calls, 3 in the key calls, errant passes out of bounds, etc.
These are the things that slow the game down and take time off the clock. Sometimes a team will have 5-6 possesions in an NBA game where they come down court, use 15-20 seconds of the shot clock and then commit a turnover before ever getting a shot up.
In NBA 2k9, we are lucky to get one of these possesions. As a result, almost every trip down court results in a shot attempt or trip to the line. So in a 12 min qtr game of 2k, we are going to have way more shot attempts on average in comparison to a real NBA game. Because of this, if we're looking for realistic FGA, FTA, and scores, going down to 11 minute quarters may be the best way to go about it.Comment

Re: the_future420's Simulation All-Star Sliders
Why the speed change? How does it affect the game? i've read the players slow down as well. Does the CPU take longer to take shots?
And the stamina I've forgotten to change, Ive been doin auto subs cuz 10+ minute games are far too long to worry about everything IMO, and the CPU does a decent enough job now, I usually only have to fix 1-3 line ups a game (carroll at point, or may at sf).
Thanks for your work bro.Comment

What I do to combat this is lower game speed (playing at 35 right now) and also if you lower the Game Tempo sliders for the CPU coaches it will slow down their scoring. The most CPU shots I've had in my association so far has been 89. Having charging at 100 helps too and if you try to take some here and there you can create a few. Sometimes you'll get lucky from a double team and force a jump ball too. If you have hands really low as well you'll see a bunch of dropped passes some of which will roll out of boundsLast edited by pilonv1; 11-03-2008, 12:47 AM.Comment

Re: the_future420's Simulation All-Star Sliders
I like these a lot for the most part...
EXCEPT....
The close shot setting is simply too low.
When 2 out of every 5 POINT BLANK shots under the basket don't even get over the rim....with no defense on the shooter...this is maddening.
There are just too many "gimme shots" that are missed.
That's my opinion. Everything else is great.AUBURN TIGERS

I see what you're saying, but it's kind of a necessary tradeoff to keep FG % and PiP in line.
The bigger problem is it's a little too easy to get inside. NBA 2K9 has a tough time modeling the physicality that NBA players use in the paint to keep people out. So the tradeoff is to set the close shot setting low to compensate for that.Comment

Re: the_future420's Simulation All-Star Sliders
I tried these last night and got killed using the Grizz at the Cavs, I lost 110-82.
Using these my team just doesnt play any D, they pick up the man way too late. There was about 10 times LeBron would dribble down and shoot before his man would pick him up. The only guy that was ever guarded was the guy I was gaurding. If I control the PG the guys on the wings would be laying off their guys 10-15 ft. I was losing 97-65 at the end of the 3rd when the Cavs pulled their starters.ND Season Ticket Holder since '72.Comment

Re: the_future420's Simulation All-Star Sliders
i played vs cav today with my hornets' association, if you play a good defense you would win easy...
lebron disappeared on my defense....
i won 107 to 95, james did 17 points only...
i'm 3-0 like the true nba
39% - 46% FG
38 - 47 PIP
33% - 42% 3pt
39 - 44 tot rebound
very realistic stats
11 mins quarterLast edited by ravellron; 11-04-2008, 10:53 AM.Comment
