Yeah, you could go 11 minutes and not lose anything. If I can't get a quick break out, then I typically run plays in which the shot-clock is wound down pretty low. Just depends on your style of play...

Thanks. I'll try that and see what happens. Also, is there any way to lower FTA. I'm running plays on every play to create openings, but every time I go to the hole, the CPU is constantly fouling me. I always end up shooting a lot of free throws, like 40-50 a game. That is nowhere near being realistic. I'm not trying to dunk the ball everytime. I'm just capitalizing on what the defense gives me. Is there anyway to increase the number of no calls?

Well dropping quarter length down by a min will take 4 mins off the game, which should lower the fouls a good bit. If its still too high, lower shooting foul frequency.

Good call. I agree in that I wouldn't touch the fouls until you've got a sample of a couple-three games.

Personally I don't have this issue. The most FT's I've shot is 26 and the most I gave up (ie. called on me) was 32 FT's (a number that's not out of the ordinary).

Just finished a real nice 99-91 victory with the Indiana Pacers over the Charlotte Hornets, using PB's 1999-2000 roster set.

Stats were real good across the board. Charlotte killed me on the offensive glass, but they only shot 37% from the field. That stat is a little misleading as they attempted 30 3-pointers, 19 in the second half. Those misses really brought down the %, as they were at 42% after the first half, in which they led by 6.

In the 3rd quarter, I was able to establish Smits down low and Reggie Miller hit a couple of 3's and Jalen Rose had a couple of nice drives to the hoop. I shot 44% for the game.

So, all in all, a well-played game. I just wish the CPU wouldn't get so 3 happy when they fall behind by more than 8 points, but there's not much we can do about that.

              Re: mkharsh33 - NBA 2K11 - Pro - REAL PLAYER % SLIDERS

I just did an NBA Today gm earlier today with the Spurs and came back to beat the Bulls 105-103. Ginoboli was missing too many wide open 3s to me, then he came through with 2 at the end with the d in his face.

              I think his 3s were like 5/17

              Jefferson was 3/9

              OVerall
Ginoboli had 25 pts 1 Asst and 3 Steals
              Duncan had 29 pts
              Jefferson 14 pts
Tony Parker had 11 pts and 12 Assts 1 Steal
Matt Bonner 10 pts 3/3 3s with one foul shot made

maybe I take too many deep shots but I just love the 3 ball thats why I usually roll Spurs or Celtics.

Its just wide open on the fastbreaks or screens I seem to miss too many compared to the CPU. Does timing still affect ur shot with Real FG On?

                These were some good sliders.

I was the Bulls and i got blown out due to taking bad shots and turnovers but these sliders are the best ones i have used so far.

Is it okay if i play 10 minutes instead of 12?

^ I play with these on 10 mins and like them a lot. Don't have any stats to post, but I will get around to posting some.

Just had a gm were Ginoboli had 42 pts against the Jazz he was on fire dropping like 74% from the 3 range. I keep getting scores in the 100s all the time though is this normal or should I drop down to 10 min?

                      I played a second game w/ 12 minute QTR's.

It was a close game but i took over with Rose.

The biggest issue the IGN review had with this game is the passing is overly difficult, with psychic AI able to block long passes (sounds like psychic DBs in the football games) at the beginning of a possession and forcing the player to a certain offensive tempo. Do these sliders help that?

I'm thinking of getting this game. I'm a football guy all the way but watch college basketball every year and the NBA playoffs. My concern is that I may not know how realistic the gameplay is, no matter what sliders I'm using. I really don't know that much about basketball. But its hyped as the greatest sports game ever made...I don't think I should pass it up. But I have no friggin idea what I'm doing out there. On defense I pretty much look for the guy whos doing the least and sit and wait for my next possession. Offense I have no idea about plays and picks and such. I sit at the 3 point arc and the rest of my teammates sit around and I have no idea what is going on until I pass to someone and it gets stolen. Same thing on in bound passes when the ball goes out of bounds from the other team - everyone sits where they are and I throw a pass and it gets stolen. I don't know when its appropriate to sprint. And as well as learning the controls I have to learn the game of basketball...

Here's how far I have to go: In the demo, I lost 13-4, 10-0, 18-0, 10-2, 8-7, 9-6. I had the ball at 7-6 in that last game when I could have run out the clock and taken the last shot for the win but of course threw the ball away with 7 seconds remaining.

3 small changes to post 1:

                          - raised Stamina from 48 to 55 each.
                          - raised fatigue from 44 each to 45
                          - raised mid-range jumper success from 48 / 50 TO 49 / 51

I was seeing TERRIBLE 4th quarter shooting because every player was gassed (noted by the "G" next to their names). It seemed that the CPU would gain the advantage in every game I played...again, no fun.

I raised the mid-range success because neither team could hit WIDE OPEN shots. I used players (for my sample) with high mid-range success in their player attributes. Plus, with the lower shooting percentages, the rebounds were too high...

I think these two changes will greatly enhance gameplay...

mkharsh can you tell me your player speed slider? Do you keep at default (Armor & Sword has it at 45)?

That is an Association Mode setting. I don't play that mode (would like to, but have been working on classic rosters and edit more than I'm now playing - LOL!). I would trust his judgment on that 45 setting.

I thought you could set it in play now mode via the Y button at the team select screen, I'll double check..........

edit: you're right, no player speed slider in quick game.
