Do sliders effect simulated games in any way? I've noticed that in a lot of my simulated games some teams will have 40 FT attempts and that just doesn't seem right.

Also what has everyone found to be the best settings for shooting foul settings? Every time I back somebody down and turn to shoot it seems like a foul is called almost every time, but not really so much for the AI.

I've also uploaded these at 2K Share. Be sure to take a moment and double-check your number values.

stoptheman10: not sure about simulated games. But bear in mind that 40 FT attempts is not out of the question. I'm getting between 20 to 36 attempts with my latest numbers, which is about right. There could be that occasional game that the numbers are lower or higher than that, and that's okay...

Thanks for your hard work (again) MK...

I used your NCAA 11 sliders as my base, so I'm sure I'll also be rolling with these when I FINALLY fire this title up (played a LOT of football this year)...

        Anyway:

I see you have a roster / association file...

        Couple questions:

        1) Is it post trade deadline?

        2) Do you adjust the touches, tendancies and include playbooks with your roster like some of the other roster guys do?

        Best regards,

        KV

          Re: mkharsh33 - NBA 2K11 - Pro - REAL PLAYER % SLIDERS

I would suggest not even using my 2011 rosters. They are terribly outdated.

I play mostly with classic rosters, but for current ones I'd suggest using Rashidi's latest post-trade deadline ones (which are VERY solid!).

If you're looking for classic files see the thread here for Hardwood Classics - you won't be disappointed.

I'm THINKING (not sure yet) about creating the 1987-1988 rosters, which would be a follow-up to portlandblazer's 1986-1987 set that he's currently working on. If there's enough interest I might do this, and I'd use my 1986 rosters as a base...

Mk Harsh, don't you think you might be changing your sliders too much? This is very similar to what you did with your set before switching to A&S's in the first place. I greatly question this new set you put up.

No disrespect intended of course bud.

              Thanks for the quick reply!

I forgot you're on 360 (I'm PS3), so the roster project for that platform is still in motion...

I will try the sliders tho, they usually translate pretty well with a tweak or two...

You're probably correct. Which is exactly why I have moved to all-star level and will no longer be using these. Like I said in post 1, just tweak to fit your style. If user shooting percentages or the cpu's need changed, you know the range.

I'm now using an all-star slider set that I like a LOT... the game plays smarter and it doesn't feel cheesy at all.

                    mkharsh33,

                    1. Is your 1st page the latest update for your slider?

                    2. I've found user tendencies for take 3pt success setup as '0', is this right?

                    3. Confused with the level settings either 'pro' or 'all star' as you mentioned it's good to play all star on page 10 but your slider still saying as Pro on page 1.

                    4. Do you play your slider with Rashidi roster?

                    5. By the way, I used your slider with shooting type as shot stick timing previously. What's your experience with shot stick timing vs %real?

                    Thanks

                      1. Yes, front page is current...they can also be downloaded from 2K Share online.

                      2. Yes, but user tendencies mean nothing (I believe). I only moved this to 0 because I hate the fact that players always run behind the 3 point line. In my classic rosters (of which I play 95% of the time) teams did not always shoot that many 3's.

                      3. They are PRO settings. Personally I'm moving to All-Star level, but that has no bearing on these sliders.

                      4. Yes, I use Rashidi's rosters and these sliders. They will work fine.

                      5. I have another set of sliders here for shot-stick timing. They should be another couple-three pages later. I started with that, then moved to real player %. My preference is real player % over shot stick.

Thanks a lot for quick replied. I will try this sliders later. Currently I'm still playing with all star & simulation settings which sometimes I found too much bumping.

                          Re: mkharsh33 - NBA 2K11 - Pro - REAL PLAYER % SLIDERS

I think these serve as a good base for starter sliders. I haven't played many games due to being obsessed with NCAA 11 for so long, then decided to just wait until after the trade deadline 2K roster update to begin my season (not doing association this year, just season).

So I went with these since they were listed as "Pro" sliders. It's just a base that I've tweaked slightly to suit my game while retaining the general principles of Hum/CPU ratios.

Anyway, after only 2 games so far I can already tell I'm going to really enjoy this, but it could possibly get too easy after a dozen games or so, at which point I might just do like you mentioned earlier and simply bump it up to all-star and see how that goes.

Thanks for all the slider and roster work you do man, it's greatly appreciated

Looking forward to the All-Star set. I've been enjoying Authentic's TNT set and I know you've used that set a bit, so I'm sure you'll come up with some slight tweaks. For whatever reason, I'm terrible at slider adjustments with NBA 2K ... I think it's all that messing with NHL 11 has shaken my confidence, lol. Good thing you guys are around.

Good to hear, I almost PM'd you the other day about what you were using ALLSTAR-wise. I'm liking the NBAonTNT base set quite a bit, but I'm questioning a few settings.
