I think the CPU goes to the freethow line too much Micheal Jordan had 25 free-throw attempts while i had 5 as a team

I tell you this is weird! In play now its a perfect game that i may lose. in assoc I win by 15-20. This doesn't make sense to me. I would like to know what gets reset when you go into assoc.

I like the way these sliders play against both humans and cpu, but there's just one thing I need to know. When I play against my friends, most of them seem to be able to dump it deep in the post whether it's off a pick and roll or just someone cutting there. I always have some cpu teammates there, but they just let it fly passed their heads for the easy hoop. What slider do I change to at least have my cpu teammates be able to defend these cheap baskets? I was thinking play passing lanes, but do I change it for human or CPU? I'm just confused because I think I need to change human, but then again the cpu is the one controlling the players.

I would suggest cranking up the DEFENSE AWARENESS slider for both cpu and human if you're playing human vs. human games. I could see how you could exploit certain things just because a human will play different than the cpu. not sure about this because i don't play against other people, but just a guess.

i would not suggest raising the passing lanes slider because i've seen the cpu make foolish plays in which they OVERplay and then are terribly out of position. I've seen this most notably in the low post where a post defender will reach in going for a pass and then let the guy have layups all night.

i do not understand how other slider creators here have the play passing lanes slider so high because of this clear exploit...

          hope this helps...

Man, the games I've been having lately with these sliders have been AMAZING!

I played what likely was the most intense game yet the other night in my custom Association (using PB's Jordan Challenge edited rosters and subbing in those classic teams in place of low-rated teams), as my 1990-91 Los Angeles Lakers went into the Boston Garden and defeated the 1985-86 Boston Celtics, 86-85. That Boston team is just flat-out scary; Bird and McHale are tough to stop and they play really aggressive defense. It was a nice win for me, as these same Celtics beat me down in the Forum by 17.

Unfortunately, the next night I went down to the current-day Chicago Bulls @ the United Center by 8 points. You could tell my guys were fatigued and had nothing left by the 4th qurater, where Chicago broke away. Two nights later I returned to the Forum and took a beating at the hands of the Miami Heat by 22. I actually led by 9 points after the first quarter, but was outscored by 20 in the second and Miami led by 30 at one point in the second half. LeBron James was unstoppable, and Big Z couldn't miss.

In those last 2 games, my shooting percentage has been in the mid-30's. My team chemisty is good, but the grind of the schedule has caught up to my guys. Thankfully, I have a week off before my next game (playing a 58-game schedule). Most games, I'm shooting in the mid-40's, and the CPU is usually in the same area.

Had a really good game with these sliders as the 76ers. I need to work on assists but I don't think that's an issue with sliders. Everything else looks really good other than turnovers, which is a game bug/limitation and free throws (for cleveland) which may have been a fluke. Otherwise good stuff! I know your focusing on MLB 2K11 but I thought I'd give some feedback.

Thanks! I still play this game with classic rosters about 3 or 4 times a week (random matchups). I have made no changes to this set and still LOVE them. Appreciate the feedback!

I just had an unbelievable game playing against the Bulls as the Pistons, using the 96-97 roster. I managed to slow down MJ and nearly the entire Bulls squad, and made no fewer than 14 threes to win 91 - 80. Dumars made NINE THREES. It was 90s basketball at its absolute finest, and I had a blast.

                  Bulls (CPU) - Pistons (Me)

                  Points: 80 - 91

                  Field Goals: 32/81 - 31/74

                  FG%: 39% - 41%

                  3 Pointers: 2/12 - 14/24

                  3PT%: 16% - 58%

                  Free Throws: 14/16 - 15/19

                  FT%: 87% - 78%

                  Assists: 20 - 16

                  Turnovers: 12 - 18

                  Team Fouls: 10 - 9

                  Total Rebounds: 44 - 37

                  Off. Rebounds: 5 - 5

                  Steals: 16 - 7

                  Blocks: 2 - 14

                  Points in the Paint: 38 - 14

                  Bench Points: 14 - 7

                  Second Chance Points: 0 - 3

                  Fast Break Points: 12 - 2

                  Notables:

Tried these sliders out quickly last night, first quarter against the Heat, 21-4 to me. I didn't miss, they hit 1 fg and 2 free throws. I'll hopefully have time tonight to play through a whole game to check it was just a fluke.

HARSH!!!! Dallas (me) vs Miami (cpu)

Just played the greatest game of all time. NBA Today, Game 6 of the finals. 4th quarter, game winding down with a 1 point lead. Kidd fouled Bosh to go to the line. Bosh hits em both and puts Miami up 2 with 1.4 left. Timeout Dallas. Inbound to Dirk...the shot....FOULED BY HASLEM. Dirk goes to the line. Hits 1...tie game...hits 2...up by 1.....hits 3...up by 2!. .04 seconds left...inbound miami, shot misses DALLAS WINS IT ALL! Box scores below. These sliders are nothing but perfect for me. My only change is hands at 50 for each side.

These sliders are brilliant! I really was having fun playing a quick Mavs vs. Heat scrim, I was the Mavs and it was a really well played game for the first 3 quarters, then the Heat went on a run and I couldn't do anything.. When I say I couldn't do anything, I mean it. Dirk couldn't hit the turnaround fade from the post that he always hits, Kidd was turning the ball over like crazy.. It just wasn't fun. I'm not taking anything away from your sliders, but when a team goes on a run on them, the game is over. I'll do some more testing..

The NBA is a game of runs and sometimes a team just can't do anything. It's the reality of the game. These sliders are designed to make every game like game 7.

My advice: CALL A TIMEOUT!!! Momentum is key and this game does a great job of providing the realism...timeouts are critical. Use all of them because you can't carry them over.

I'm not trying to defend the sliders because they are mine, but the truth is they represent hundreds and hundreds of test games by myself and others. The problem you noted is a REALITY of NBA basketball... It's not the sliders. And afterall, didn't you watch Dirk go 1-12 last night (I believe) in the 1st half?? It does happen...

For reference, I just played a game as the 93 Sixers (me) at the 93 Nets (cpu). I lost 118 - 94. Drazen Petrovic lit me up for 26 and the Nets had 6 players in double figures.

I just played the 1st quarter (before saving) another random matchup of the 86 Suns (cpu) at the 86 Rockets (me). I'm up 36-16 after the first quarter, and Akeem Olajuwon has 16 points himself. I'll finish it later...

That's what I like about these sliders...neat variety.
