I'm so happy with this outcome, game is fair again.
And CD reputation is also messed up, so double fun!
Now i'm gonna say something unpopoular:
I think there's no reason to complain if you lost your WCs proing those AS cards.
You knew those cards weren't "legit", because CD is not a company which does giveaways, we all know come on.
You knew that something would have happened.
You used the WCs? Your choice, your risk.
Even if I got those cards, i would have never put a WC into them, at least until an official announcement by CD.

It'll be interesting to see if they do any sort of compensation. Whether its leave your best All Star card in your cards or give back some WC or Star contracts.
But honestly its CD, we know they probably won't do a single thing. People will gripe and complain for a bit but it won't change anything.Comment

Excuse my French but we don't know **** cuse we're not mind readers. You can make excuses for CD all you want but it doesn't negate the "fact" that packs were advertised as 100% off with a 0 credit purchase. They can take back the cards but I'll be damned If they deny me the Star contracts and WCs I used to pro these cards because they f'd up.

Agreed, but we should wait until we actually see what they do before we start getting mad. Most that make statements like the one you replied to are people who didn't get the free cards or who will stand to lose nothing from them being deleted.
I think we all need to stop arguing and getting mad at each other and start flinging all this vitriol at CD, if they do not fix it the proper way, as in reimbursing WC and Star contracts. Let's remember, someone at their company made the mistake. The players should not be held at fault or called exploiters/cheaters etc. I am personally amazed at the lack of accountability they have taken. That tumblr post was a real slap in the face to some. Whoever is the head of their PR really has no idea what they are doing or the ability to know how to properly handle the situation.
Souf, none of this is directed at you personally in case you think it is, just trying to make a general point to everyone.

Well I can't fault him or NWGD for not coming in here right now, it would be a disaster. I'd assume they won't engage until everyone cools down a bit. I'm just hoping they put out a statement somewhere that is a lot less vague than the tumblr post. It alleviates none of our main concerns.

I'm sorry, but did the people who used Star Contracts and WCs to pro the free cards really expect nothing to happen? I would've at least waited for CD to say "you get to keep the cards" before I did anything with them, besides that I would assume they would do something to take backs the cards.

You should never take that kind of chance from a glitch.
Well from their track record of not taking cards that were their mistake back, i.e. RttC shaq and the draft rate change, how could we know. I personally waited 2 days before I even bothered doing anything with the cards. After that I figured it doesn't seem like they care enough to even comment on it. So now that they have finally made a vague statement after 3 days, I'm fine with them taking the cards back but they should also give back the WC and star contracts to anyone who used them when proing. This is the only fair way to go about it so that it ends amicably.
Also it was not a glitch, at least they never said it was and I wouldn't assume it was either. It was the person who wrote the code for it. They coded it incorrectly or put the wrong numbers in for what percentage it should be off.

Honestly no company should EVER run an automated sale without at least 1 person actively "on call". This could have been stopped in the 1st 5 minutes if someone just checked to make sure the sale was running properly. I did not get any free cards, and I am appalled by their handling of this.
The cards do need removed for the simple competitiveness of the game, but once again it would be a lot easier to explain this to customers had they discovered and addressed the issue in a timely fashion. An announcement, even if right after the sale ended could have saved everyone all of the grief.
Back to my original idea...How the **** do you run a mobile game with flash sales and not have someone around in some form during the different stages of the sale to check that everything is running as expected?? Utterly disgusting.

No one is campaigning to keep the cards. That much is a given. You take those cards back, fine. But just like you have the ability/power to remove those cards from users decks. You should have the ability/power to replace whatever WCs, star contracts, enhancements or training fodder that was used to better these cards. Anything less is placing the blame squarely on the users and giving CD a pass. I mean fair is fair right?

One thing I also find funny is if they don't replace them, anyone who used WCs, star contracts or training fodder will be in a worse position than before the "packenning " happened. So CD, essentially are punishing those people for their own mistake.

If you've played past MyNBAs, you should know about CD. Terrible customer service, terrible public relations, profit driven. CD would NEVER in their entire career's put up a 5k credit pack for free. That's just a "too good to be true" kind of thing.
Regardless, I'd give the benefit of the doubt for the people who didn't know. If it ever happens again, it would save a lot of complaining and headaches for people who previously did something with the cards.Comment
