Just opened 20 Utah jazz team packs. I already have a copy of Stockton and hornacek epics but I was hoping to dupe Stockton to finally get an epic pro PG. Here are the results!


Oh well, I'll just have to hope that the Dallas legend is a PG. Cheers! :-)

Yes, Dr. J from the Kobe rivals event, I placed 43. And the rest are from rivals events.

I don't remember the rewards for the Lakers-Celtics Rivals event, but why was Dr.J a reward?

The reward for top50? were epic packs.

Yes, Dr. J from the Kobe rivals event, I placed 43. And the rest are from rivals events.

The Devs have removed the "game" part of this game way to much for profit, sometimes I am not sure if I am playing a game, or the Devs are playing a game with me...


I could've bought an Xbox One and NBA 2K14 for the money I put into this game, to not even get any Legendarys in Epic Packs. ( I already have PS4 w/ 2k14 so not missing out, just making a point ). And have played 41,651
QG with 1 legend support drafted. That's not casual as you say. The game is programmed in a way you need to spend "thousands" to get good and that is not a good thing. Its a digital card game. You should be able to get a full fledged experience by playing a lot and maybe dropping 40-50 bucks into the game max, not $20 for an Epic that cant even beat the rare pro's you already have..

And you think that CD is going to change the game mechanics so it's not a win-win situation for them anymore?

You want the best cards in the game? Fine, either play an insane amount of quick games, or compete for the top tiers in Rivals, or buy several packs until you get a legendary card.
This game is about making money. If you want a good deck, follow the path they've designed. If you're okay with having an average deck, you can for free. Just play casually an be okay with getting one epic once in a while and very slowly improving your deck.
Once the new matchmaking is implemented maybe average decks can compete between them and top decks won't kill their seasons. But I don't think CD is going to make the game more rewarding for casual players, that's just not good for their business. It's the way it is. Rivals is already quite rewarding on the lower tiers, it takes just a few of hours to get an epic pro.
Seasons are the mostly the only aspect of the game people get discouraged by, and by what NW has been saying, they're improving it. We can only wait for that.

Not planning on drafting another legend for many many more wins so, dont worry. aha. Rivals did save this game thought, props to who ever thought of the idea.

For whatever it's worth, I've spent just $60 on Epic Packs (probably around $120 on the game overall), and got two legends out of it. One of which being pre nerf Rodman.

I earned Carmelo legend, and Jordan and Duncan Rivals cards, through RC.

Now with Rivals, you can get a great deck for zero money. People saying you need to Hot Streak are just ignoring reality. Plenty of people in top ranks put in zero money. You do have to put in a lot of time, but nothing is free in life.

I have two Epic Pro cards, one of which came just from winning seasons, the other was a combination of a season reward, and $5 spent on Team Packs.

I don't win seasons at a high clip... Only 6 or so ever (since November), but idk... I feel like my lineup is good enough for the investment I've made.
Honestly, people complaining about their lineups, post Spurs RC, just kinda fall on deaf ears to me. If you don't have ANY Epic Pros by now, when CD is GIVING AWAY one every two weeks, you just aren't playing enough. If you aren't gonna play much at all, why exactly should you have a great deck?

I know everyone wants to be coddled through everything, and in my eyes RC is a huge collective foot rub (I would choose a more colorful metaphor... but this is OS) to the entire player base, but people STILL complain?

Yes, the way it works with RC, each week is a rising tide, so only nabbing an Epic Pro isn't gonna make it so that you're winning seasons, but it's not like it's particularly hard to land in Legend range, and if you're not even willing to play enough to get to the point where you get the Epic Pro, and realize you're really no better off, then you kinda can't talk.

Reality here is that in a game with winners and losers, some people have to be the losers, and what sense would it make, if those people weren't the people who put in less time and money than others?

People say they don't wanna spend, and I respect that, but you HAVE to understand that by making that choice, you're choosing to be behind those that do. I've bought three Epic Packs ever. I'm also quite comfortable with the fact that my deck isn't gonna be as good as people who've spent a G on this game.

There are people who haven't spent, with great decks thanks to RC though. United (Holmes) went from having a Rare Pro deck, to having a 4000+ all around deck in a month, from grinding RC (without Hot Streaking, I believe), and successfully tanking just one time. Does he have more time than others? Maybe... but what do you want? Nothing is 100% fair. This is close.

No one was, second best prize to the single rivals card as a single epic Byron Scott (I'm pretty sure) or an epic pack I think, not 100%
