Problem is, let's say they do lower the prices to a comfortable price for you. Well that will also be a lower price point for others as well. So how will you feel when you've purchased a bunch of packs and still never win a season. You'll be out a bunch of money and still be in the same boat as before the price change. You must realize that per each season, only 1 goes home happy, 31 go home pissed.

Yea but If you play against people in the same stat tier, say 2000 all categories, then winning and losing comes down to the order or draw of the categories and which player ability kicks in and when. Which gives everyone a fair chance. Seasons seem to have 25-28 well matched players and then 2 or 3 trucks that are unbeatable. The 2 or 3 trucks should simply have to wait for a competitive season even if the wait is a day. Putting someone with 5000+ stats in a 2000 average season should not even be an option. They are ruining 95% of the seasons players so that 1 player will not have to wait. Yes there can be only 1 winner and the 29 others will lose, but it would be abit easier to swallow if you at least had a fighting chance. Let the Heavyweights fight the Heavyweights, and leave the lightweights to battle the other lightweights.

Switch hours to days... unless its RC. I haven't drawn an epic since RC (for that matter, only 10 or so rares vs ~90 energy (@~340 now, think i had 240-250 by the end of my last season and i didn't add any until end of RC basically guarantee i have enough energy for the playoffs and then some assuming i actually need/get to play 28 games) and not one of the rares useful, most of them were rares that i already had rare pro versions of).

U gotta remember its free to play / pay to win
Not free to win.
If your playing for free its gonna take you a long time to win against people who keep getting stronger decks faster while your doing the slow turtle race

I agree with you, the matchmaking is terrible, I wasn't disputing that. What I was talking about above was in relation to just price change of epic packs.

What I think CD needs to do is either have a sale on epic packs. Either that or drop epic packs to 10 dollars where your guaranteed an epic player or support card and make legendary packs 20 for a shot at a player or support. 3 for 25 epic packs and 3 for 50 legends.

Honestly there is no other way to compete in seasons. People get so discouraged to even want to finish out the season once they see a truck in there. At least it'll keep the game more competitive that way.

I dunno. These drop rates are just so ridiculously low. Having to lose hours of sleep and your life to grind in the RC events takes a toll on you. It really makes no sense to spend money on a game where your progress will be reset when 2k15 comes out.

Or they could do what EA's NHL series does with their ultimate team... divide up seasons into category like Rare cards only, Uncommon only, Legendary only, 4000+ rating only, etc. That would create more balance (and i think it would be better even if the queues are a lot longer).

The season rewards are also kinda average. The 3 epics i got so far have all been pretty average. Considering the amount of time a season takes (probably average out to ~100 hours or so... 82 + min. 16 but realistically every round goes 5 or 6 games except the finals... last season, my first 3 rounds all went 7 games so despite going 16-0 myself, the season took 82 + 25 hours, think all 3 seasons, the first round went at least 6 games, second and 3rd round at least 5 so its probably 100 hour min with 1/30 chance of winning tho probably a lot better for some and a lot worst for others)

I completely agree with you Syd. Luckily, for me, this has not been the case. I haven't spent any money on this game and I've won, gonna say about 15 of 25 seasons. Now from what I've read in these forums the last few months, this ratio is off the charts for a free player. Granted the RC has helped put me over the top in a few but I have almost always been top 5 in most of my seasons.

Reason the price stay high is people are willing to pay them. Its a simple supply/demand model. As long as there are people willing to pay the price, there's no reason to decrease it. The key is finding the perfect price for max profit rather than the price for most sales/revenue.

I mean look @ the RC, i'm sure quite a few of the top 125 bought HS and some probably played exclusively with HS (i notice quite a few around me were gaining on me despite me rarely losing +5 games and i mean gaining as in by 100s not just small amount... not realistically possible @ +5 given i have no/little load time and was playing pretty fast... think many can echo that statement about lack of movement rather they play +5/+10 on the weekend of RC). That basically means probably 100 or so of the top 125 paying 20+k (cut off was 18k right? i know the top 50 cutoff was 24k) credit. No idea how much credit is since i didn't buy any nor plan on but given have said epic/legendary packs are $20 each (2500 credit, i'm guessing that's the rate), which translate to probably an average of $160x100 (for simple math) or $16,000+ revenue just from that event (rounded numbers to make it easier since top 25 was really 30k+).

Enjoy it while it lasts. Competition only gets tougher. Early on seasons tend to be much closer because everyone is still using mostly rare pros in their season at best. Once you break that ceiling it's all down hill. At the 2500+ mark it starts to get a lot tougher.

My problem was that I didn't start another season after I won my 1st one I played in. I got 2 epics from that win, Brandon Jennings and Pistol Pete. The next time I did play came in 2nd which I probably could've won if I would've subbed in my best guys even if they were out of position. That was a little before the Bulls RC event. After that though thinking my Pippen was gonna help out tremendously, it was reverse. It started putting me in with trucks and all my seasons have been downhill from there.

Sometimes I contemplate whether or not to scrap this account and make a totally new one. I would probably win at least a few more seasons than I do now. Plus it seems like newer players get more "lucky" when it comes to drafting epics and legends. I would really hate to give up on all my progress I have made so far. 2 Legends 1Rival card, 2 Legend supports,(from the RC events I actually tried in) all the best maxed out rare pros, and about 16 epics which 2 are supports.

But knowing what I know now about the seasons and matchmaking, I think I would have a better chance at getting an epic pro than I do now.
