Re: MyTeam Mobile Discussion
Nah.... The game was never competitive. Again, grinding doesn't guarantee anything. Especially once you're a month or more into the game, and your deck stops improving. Once you need Legends or Epic Pros to improve, the game is ALL luck. Even buying Epic Packs is still just luck, mixed with bad spending habits.
There's no such thing as a competitive game in which the players don't know the rules of competition, and aren't really given ways and means to affect the competitive balance, outside of hoping for the Random Fairy to drop a legend in your deck (at a .00001% rate).
No grinding doesn't guarantee anything but I'm saying IMO that's the competition part. Is it 100% competition? Of course not. It's luck as well and more than comp. But you still have to grind to get a good team of 15 players.
If I can play 500 qg's a day and you can't, then I'm ahead. That's the only comp part about this game.Comment

After you have a lineup of Rare Pro cards, play all you want... You're not improving your deck. It takes an insane amount of luck to improve at that point.
Even before you reach that point, it isn't entirely true that you'll be better than me if you play more.
If you play 1000 games, and I play 500, you have a better chance at having a better team... But what if you draft 4 different Rare guards in that time, and I draft 2 Doc Rivers? Well I'm better. You improve your chances by playing more, but we've all seen players' luck fluctuate wildly.
Rivals mode is the closest thing we have to "competition" in this game, and even that.... it's a huge stretch to call that mode competitive. You're competing against Carpal Tunnel, your social life and your sanity, more than you're competing in the game.Comment

Re: MyTeam Mobile Discussion
Spot on. I joined season before the update and my streak of 12 straight seasons continues. If matchmaking is going to be this competitive now, rewards should go up for sure.

Re: MyTeam Mobile Discussion
If everyone's deck improves, really nobody's deck improves. Improving rewards and ESPECIALLY implementing trading would just make it so that everyone is better, and players that have better decks now, would see their advantage shrink, just because the devs decided to make everything easier. That doesn't seem like the way to go.
I'm all for the devs getting their money too. I've got nothing against that. I just hope they find a way to introduce actual competition into the game. As of now, it's just a collecting game... with a tiny card limit, and horrible drop rates.Comment

That and I was actually impressed with his defensive numbers. That being said I have a feeling his LU is solely focused on defense and obviously not the other categories.

Yeah, I'm gonna enjoy this 5th in a row and hope I land a LJ Epic which would give me two or two Pippens just so I can have an epic pro of that.Comment

Re: MyTeam Mobile Discussion
None of that addresses competition though. Trading and better prizes just addresses people's frustrations with not improving their decks... by improving everybody's decks... which while making everyone feel better, doesn't actually do anything, but shorten the game's lifespan.
