Hey CD can you increase the drop rate for epics in quick games by .2% and legends by .1% by any chance? It seems as though with your new update your basically willing to give those cards away now. Just increase the drop rates please. Oh yeah and have a sale on those epic packs and I might just put some money into this game. We all know that this game will be obsolete once 2k15 is out, so strike while the iron is hot and people are still interested in basketball due to the playoffs.

I'm curious how people will react when a new version comes out. If our current cards are worthless and we have to start from scratch how will you react? Will you work as hard during rivals, spend as much money, I'm genuinely curious? Opinions?

Better question will be those that spend hundreds/thousands of dollars on their cards will they continue to support CD

I'm already kind of expecting that they would make you start from scratch. It would be nice though if they would allow you to pick a few cards (3-5 cards) to carry over.

Considering the amount of time put into rivals (top 50 last 3), I would not put much time into it as before. Maybe more selective in terms of which cards I would go for (Jordan, Kobe, Durant), but I probably would not grind as hard as I would for less desirable cards in this version.

Also, I doubt they would have rivals in from the beginning in 2k15. It would probably be something like this where it is introduced in the later half of the lifecycle. If they started rivals right off the bat, I think less people would buy packs for epics/legendaries. Also, the rival card pool would be too diluted for it to be special.


Since I didn't spend for packs in this version, I would probably not spend in the 2k15. Would I purchase it as a paid app? I would. But not for packs.

I think I wouldn't spend any money next time. I have so far bought 5 epic packs (no legends) and about 20 team packs and in hindsight I wish I hadn't. Had I got one legend in those epic packs, or picked one in the 33,000+ draft pics I have made so far, I may have considered a purchase or two in the next version. I have no problem paying some funds as an appreciation to CD for the time I have spent on this free game, but I don't think the return once you spend a bit of money is all that great.

I would feel really bad for the ones that spent hundreds if not thousands of dollars in this game and not get any type of compensation for the money and hours spent supporting 2k and CD.

Since they like to link things to the console version I suggest that if you buy the console version you can get 5 free epic packs in the mobile version.

I don't see why everyone thinks this game will end when 2k15 comes out. The console side and myteam mobile are 2 separate things. This is a mobile card game that they can easily just update, or have 2 separate versions. You can still play 2k13 now 2k14 is out can't you?
I can still play black ops 1 online now part 2 is out. Most players have moved to the newer version so that's the better experience, but there are still people playing the older game.

Edit.. I don't actually play black ops just an example.

They can update and carry over if they want but 2k will likely want a new app for 2k15 just like 2k14 is a new one and of course 2k13 from before. Also if you follow EA and their ultimate team (all sport games pretty much), then you'll know each version = new ultimate team. The old one still works (i think, haven't tried) but almost no one plays them (aka you'll queue a long time for a season, there won't be anymore events, etc).

The other reason is new season = a lot of transaction/roster moves. Adding cards without deleting will increase the resources by a lot. You'll pretty much see 100s of new cards to replace the current ones on the wrong team (i.e. say James leaves the heat and signs with the Cavs, except there will be 100s of minor transaction as well as big ones) but i doubt CD will delete the existing ones (i.e. MS vs old one, they kept both).
