Why so many tears about new players having a chance to catch up to the "vets"? Did you hope to sit on top forever?

Whatever time/money you put in to the game was your choice at the time and if you thought it would keep you at the top forever you are pretty naive.

Does anybody actually think that's what happened here?

How exactly is the ecosystem any different? In what way is it easier for people to catch up?

The same ecosystem exists, and the same players that paid and grinded more to pull away last time, A) already have an advantage because they're already up and B) those players are far more likely to just pay and grind more again.

The only thing that could change that, is those players having a bad taste in their mouth, and not wanting to pay anymore, thanks to this Rivals v2 garbage.

This update leveled the playing field in NO way.

Anyway, I'm at 120 on Android now.. though they did just cap me at 100, which is why I went into my collection to clean up.

Let's get back in track. I will say this one last time. If CD fixed the past 6 Rivals cards then everyone would continue playing and look forward to the new. If not then they will be losing a ton of revenue because the veterans are what keep games going.

As much as it sucks and is sad to say, the vets don't keep this game going anymore. They did for a while but now that they don't have the best decks because of new cards, new people will now fuel the game. Before, your deck was really the ceiling that everyone dreamed of, but that's not it anymore. I wish you guys did have more of an influence but now the game is in the hands of the new guys, the new spenders.

Before, your deck was really the ceiling that everyone dreamed of, but that's not it anymore. Disagree, you absolutely will not see any other players spend like Adil and I did. And not to pay myself on the back, I could still win every rivals and I could easily dump another 10k into the game and ruin it for everyone. So don't give me that the new players will fuel the game. The vets now have been here since the beginning. This game will end when 2K15 is out and we will all lose our decks.

I think you're missing their argument... (Vets, correct me if I'm wrong) As competitive as these vets are, they are quite humble and have no issues with increased competition. The argument is that an RC card should be equally elite, old or new; and a more elite card (playoff) should not be obtainable by draft or direct purchase. I think a higher tier of card is fine, but one should have to put in the work it; fight it out in a RC, where only a handful of them can be obtained.

They are still great cards. That is a legendary pro vs a non pro playoff. Don't get me wrong, I really like the playoff cards but how could anyone come up with this system. A playoff card dominates a legendary card. Cat Daddy has no idea what the word legendary means.
