My thoughts:
-No Kobe RC ever? Wasn't there one last year?
-Kobe is technically still "current", meaning the Star card could have been historic; this could have gave a "what if" RC scenario of old vs. new at each tier (Kobe vs. Thomas and West/Magic/Baylor vs. whoever the Pistons most current Star is).
-Nash (also technically still current) is Star material, maybe not in his Lakers years, but def a Star in his career.
-Basing Star material off of "popularity" vice contributions to the NBA is absurd, and honestly really sad.
-Don't want to dilute the card pool with 20 cards of the same player? How many Steph Curry cards are there? Klay Thompson has 2 different Star cards. The 2nd RC introduced what? A 2nd, DIFFERENT Legendary Penny. Christmas themed cards, Throwbacks, Record Setters! So, let me understand... a card of the same player is "better" than the one I have because it has Christmas lights around it? You have definitely "diluted" the pool already. But the real dilution right now is bringing in new Star cards every RC, making it harder to pro the ones we have.
In the end, it's your game, and you will do with it as you please. We could all say we're mad and won't play anymore, but we will. We could all say we're not paying another dime, but we will. My honest statement is this:
Just know and remember who brought you the amount of success you guys have had. The players, fans, customers, however you view us, have gave and invested A LOT in you and your games. If at the very least, all I ask is that you stay somewhat true to the game and learn from the Kyle Macy mistakes last year (saturating the highest tier with cards we all know don't belong there), which seems to be happening already. I know you are always asked for new content, but quality over quantity is almost always far more satisfying.
