Very unlikely for this to happen... CD would make much more money if you have to buy multiple (or actually a lot more than multiple) to get your favorite player rather than letting you buy it right away. Same reason any card collection generally sell packs rather than just the cards on their own... people sell the cards the get from packs (i.e. market place style)... now implementing that would be interesting or at least allow players to trade cards with each other in a marketplace environment. Of course this is counter-productive in terms of making money 'cause instead of buying packs to try to get a duplicate, everyone would just be trading for them.

If CD doesn't want to create tiered seasons as I have suggested, and if the players with higher decks don't want to wait half a day to start their own competitive seasons, then at least give me the option to wait longer for a competitive season at my own level. I will gladly wait half a day or more for a season that does not include statistical outliers. Give each player the option when starting a season to start as soon as possible or wait for a competitively balanced group of teams. Is that so much to ask?
If you are given that option, everyone would take that option and that queue would actually end up being faster than the other queue meaning the better deck would have to wait longer for a queue. Basically your suggestion is to penalize those that either spent more time or more money (to get a better deck) in the game to benefit those who have lesser line-up for whatever reason. Note i only have a 3k line-up so its not like i'm benefiting from the current system, just pointing out the flaw in your suggestion.

Tier system on the other hand would be a good idea as long as subs are removed (just to make it easier). Not sure how likely that'll be implemented. Of course the possible problem for this is you'll start seeing a lot of clone decks that try to get as long as the tier limit as possible (with spread sheets, its possible to calculate the best possible line-up to take advantage of the tier). Also unless the rewards are tier'd too (so that higher tier gets better rewards), this once again is counter-productive for those with better decks or trying to get better decks. Of course tier rewards will also receive complaints about how lower line-up will never improve so the rich gets richer... (basically there's no way to make everyone happy)

Congrats bro. But I'd be willing to bet there are many more people like me (without a thousand energy cards lying around) than there are like you, especially at the 2K deck level. But that's probably just because the rest of us don't understand the rules and structure of the game, and naively think that the 95% of the app's customers who don't spend hundreds of dollars on the app still should have a competitive game worth playing.

Yod don't need hundreds of dollars to have a stockpiles of energies. I'm not your bro. Have fun. After all ignorance is bliss

I wasn't referring to energy when talking about the hundreds of dollars. Just your overly simplistic view of how this app should only cater to the whims of those who pour insane amounts of money into it. But what do I know? I'm just an ignorant newbie.

As i said already, though you seem to miss that (and not only that), i've bought 4 packs lifetime. I do have over 65k record. I'm done here.

Yeah, have no idea what it means. Don't want to find out, seems like a waste of time at this moment.

Anyhow, guys, there are some really well put thoughts about all this that Shokase and few others disscused in that other place. Really nice read, feel free to chip in

With regard to your first comment, if it's true that the vast majority of people are willing to wait for competitive seasons, doesn't that only further demonstrate the problem? The system should not be broken just because it benefits a handful of players. That's not where the real money comes from, no matter how much they spend.

As for your second point, you are probably right that you would start seeing clone decks. It isn't a perfect solution, but it's better than what currently exists. I'm not sure I agree that rewards should be tiered, as keeping them the same helps lesser decks improve to the point that the can start to be more competitive with the higher decks. That should be the end goal, as it would also help with the problem of long wait times for higher decks.

Again, I'm certainly not suggesting that these suggestions are perfect solutions. But these other posts that instead suggest that new players should just accept losing are simply shortsighted. If the app doesn't provide new users an incentive to keep playing, it's long-term viability is negligible. Fortunately, I'm sure CD is not so shortsighted.

funny how you define 'most people' as the select few who use this forum, spend money on the game and have 4000+ credits ??????? wtf lol

regular people who download apps for fun make up the majority of the players for this and any other mobile 'game'

its like the US wealth distribution...forum users/$ spenders are the 1%. lol

Farming energy is considered being competitive now? Unbelievable.

And if you think this game is so competitive, what is the value of a competitive endeavor, if having logged way more hours, and developed a much better team, doesn't give a competitive advantage?

And nobody is trying to keep casual players down. They just shouldn't be WINNING. The game is going to be giving Epic cards out if you make it to the THIRD ROUND in the playoffs. Not first place.. not second place. You only have to make the THIRD ROUND. I just don't see the problem with that.

Not to mention CD is giving away amazing cards for RC every two weeks... and they're raising the drop rate on draft board... How are casual players being left I behind?

There are gonna be ALL sorts of ways to improve decks.

So again... It all just comes down to the unrealistic expectation the everyone feels like they should be able to win, all the time, despite the fact that it isn't realistic in the first place to expect to win, without having put in the time/effort, and despite the fact that it's mathematically unlikely to ever expect to be #1 in a pool of 30.

                          But again... that's too rational.

Good point. A person couldn't possibly have legitimate insight on an app he has played 6,000 times in 4 weeks. This game is SO complex that you can't possibly even begin to fathom its sophistication until you've played 65K games.

Farming energy is fine. More power to you. But to expect that even a small fraction of the people who play this game compile 1000+ energy cards and 4000+ credits is beyond ludicrous. 99% of the people who make up CD's market on this game are not even remotely in that universe, and thus playing QGs and energizing players in-season is real competition. At least it would be, if there weren't teams in each season that are 2K+ higher in every stat category and thus can win 60+ games without even once energizing players.

All the other 99% of the players want is a remote chance to impact their own destiny in a season. For the most part, they do not have it now. You guys keep stubbornly banging this stupid drum that everyone expects to win the finals in every season, and that's just silly. Nobody expects to win first every time. 97% of the teams in every season will fail to reach that mark. They just want EVEN A SLIGHT CHANCE to be that one person who does win first place. Right now, there is a ZERO percent chance. And it's not ridiculous to want something like that changed from one of only 2 available game modes.
