Re: RTTC Discussion
Nerfing the double points strat seems counter productive to me, if their goal is to make as much cash as possible.
Even with the strat, and my star RttC deck I still had to buy hotstreaks and a few game nights just to get PnP Pierce.
Now with PO and Great cards, which I assume will be harder decks, I doubt I will even be able to get the PO card without grinding losses (if the strat has been nerfed).
Where then is the incentive to turn around and grind a further 200+ losses for Shaq?
In summary, without the change, I think I would have spent thousands to fly through star, +2 for PO Rose then pay for a huge amount of game nights to grind 200 losses for the Shaq. I don't see this being the case with any NERF though but I hope I am wrong!IGN: nzjase

Re: RTTC Discussion
are decks gonna be easier or the same? this matters the most because without double points I wouldn't be able to get 2 legendary cards in epic+ tier. now I'm in epic++ but I don't believe my deck's strong enough to beat the epic+ for the legendary card without double points.Comment

On a side not I felt like the double point strategy kept the RTTC interesting and more fun because I always felt like I could hit that metaphoric last second shot to win the game. Without the strategy there may be no hope by the second or third quarter. Where is the fun in that!Comment

No, we have never said this. We currently have no plans to make PnP cards auction able. Maybe we will change our mind, but I don't want people thinking this is definitely happening.NWGameDad

Re: RTTC Discussion
I agree with this as the double point strategy makes me more likely to spend because I know I have a shot in the last round at losing my way to Shaq. In the past I purchased hotstreaks on the first day and finished the RTTC a little early. Now I have no idea how far I can expect to go without the double point strategy and am spending no credits on the first RTTC. The last thing I want to do is waste spending them and not get the card I want.

Re: RTTC Discussion
I have said this before, the strat basically allowed you to play and care about only 10 cards. If we wanted you to use only 10 cards we would have made the mode have 10 cards. You should care about all 25 cards needed for the mode. The mode is balanced around using all 25 cards. If you were getting cards above your tier using the strat this next RttC will undoubtedly be harder for you. I did not change the target difficulty of the boss decks at all. The PO and Greats cards will be very difficult to acquire. They are the best cards in the game, and are not gained easily.Comment

Re: RTTC Discussion
Getting a card at our RTTC tier does little to nothing to help us advance though. I feel stuck in this game personally, with my only option at advancing is to luck into pulling two star cards I can duplicate in quick game, or by spending money. Getting more legendary cards does me absolutely no good, because I have a ton, they rarely sell in the auction house, I can't get anything above a legendary in RTTC, every single season I've played I've had to go up against a guy who is just impossible for my deck to beat in the finals. And what do I get for making it to the finals and losing? The same thing as the guy who lost in the second round. I'm all for games being challenging, but not impossible. At least with the double points I had a shot at getting a star card, now I'm stuck with getting more useless cards for me.
Since the double points has been removed I feel the difficulty should be lowered to at least make it possible to get a card above your tier. For a while now I have felt stuck in this game, with no real end to that in sight. While that may cause some to spend money to obtain the cards needed to advance, I would guess it causes more to quit the game altogether.Comment

Honestly this is totally fine - and building up a deck of 25 cards is great. But the mode is designed in a way, that you don't get what I would expect. For example if I draft in Legendary, I'd expect to get at least a Legendary or maybe even a Star if I am active. But at this stage, you will get the Epic, as you don't have enough cards to compete.
On the other hand, those who get those cards easily, they really don't need them, as they have enough.
So in my eyes it is unbalanced - for especially lower tier players. We don't know who the difficulty will be on PO, but I expect something which I personally don't like :P
