I was among the voices asking for credits to be added to the game. My reason for adding credits to the game was "instituting a small grind credit would help, even if it was only 2-3 credits per quick game. You're not talking about infusing a large amount of credits per person, thereby not killing CD's ability to sell credit packs, but it would infuse a large amount of credits into the entire economy and that would get the AH listings to sell"
That being my goal and I think the goal of a lot of other forum posters I find that the change to the season rewards completely fails to do this. The credit rewards are so tiny and can only be earned once every 4+ days that there is zero chance it'll infuse any tangible amount of currency into the AH economy. About the only thing it will do is slightly limit the infusion of star level cards into the AH which again, won't affect the overall quagmire that is the AH.
What we are left with then is the same old problem where the AH will probably still continue to grind slowly and most cards will still sell for the minimums because the average users don't have credits to spend. That being said, I can't fathom any reasonable explanation for the changing of the season tier rewards beyond functioning as a smokescreen during a deliberate attempt to slow progression of the game.
My point of writing this is that these paltry credit rewards are not what I (and I suspect others asked for) and the nerfing of the season rewards is clearly not what anyone asked for. It's one thing to make the changes in order to generate more revenue but to repeatedly assert that it's a good thing and something that we asked for is just flat out insulting. It's your game CD to do with as you please and you're free to make changes as you see fit but don't patronize us by re-asserting that we asked for it.
