I have 36 Spec Upgrade cards.

They used to be almost as hard to get as Wild Cards. Ever since CD tweaked the drop rates, due to BTC, they drop more often than {insert your least favorite persons name}'s mother when troop ships port.

I used to hold them close and use them sparingly, now, like Flipvan, all my pro'ed PO & Star cards are fully upgraded.

Same thing with level ups for me. Used to not be able to pull em from the board and now they drop from the board with regularity for me

CD would say 25 make BTC easier over someone with 13. But I'm not CD, and agree with you. In a thread a few months ago, I said it would be better to reduce the rttc point total, but make it that you had to beat the last card by 40 points in 50 games.

Overall, CD has to do something about progession in this game. It's way too easy. I'm confident that I could start from scratch and get a team to QG PO tier in 2 weeks. That's just stupid.

One problem I see with the game is there isn't a real mandatory progression. Start at Rare and without playing a single game, its possible to be at the highest tier. I've never played a game like that. I'm sure there is others, I just never played one. I think you should have to accomplish certain achievements at each tier to move up. Examples might be win 100 UR QG games, make UR playoffs 3 times, and complete Ultimate Domination goal in UR tier before you can play epic QG and seasons.

You're right in saying, BTC is where you get an advantage in 25 card decks. The mode was designed to reward those with a better deck vs. the other events and modes were not made with that philosophy as much. RttC in particular is difficult to make harder without time because it is a straight up number comparison game on the cards. It is very binary between I can win every match easily to it is impossible. Without significant change to th event it will always be that way. BTC on the other hand has your advantage ebb and flow based around your energy and which rounds you win.

In terms of progression, you're right that a new deck can fly up the tiers. A serious problem that really comes down to the Auction House. We attempted to limit supply on the AH this year, which sort of worked, but here we are with too many cards available on the AH. There just may not be a good solution to limiting supply without killing the AH. A card economy problem we are thinking about hard how to solve.

Finally, when it comes to cheating, I just love the justifications cheaters spout off about to justify their behavior. We don't *make* anyone cheat. That is a decision a cheater comes to on their own and they will enjoy the consequences. Every year we spend a large amount of time preventing cheats from working and banning people. I would say we have been more successful this year and definitely are getting better and better with each update on how to get the cheaters out of the system. I will not say we have cleaned out 100% of the cheaters because it is an ever escalating war, but judging by the rants from cheaters we have caught and banned you can see we are having an impact, which is only good for the real players.

I've never really played to collect cards or get a specific card. I started late in 2K15 and have played purely because I just want to level-up, get as high as I can.

Right now I have 4 PO Pro's at 4 different positions, I'm only missing a Small Forward (Hoping to get LBJ in this RC). I'm a Cavs fan so getting Lebron would be great, but if I had got Bird two weeks ago I wouldn't even be playing in this RC.

I have put $0 into 2K16 but I put too much (~$300, maybe not a lot to some) into 2K15 at the end to get some Greats and bump up a Rewards Tier. Paying ended up ruining my experience because I didn't really earn the cards.

It doesn't bother me if people put in $0, $1000, or $10K, it's their money they can do what they want, it doesn't ruin the game for me at all.

After I get my PO SF to pro, my only remaining goal will be to finish a RTTC, which I'm hoping next week will be the Cavs after they (hopefully) win the championship. If not, then I'll finish the Warriors RTTC.

I never got to the final RTTC in 2K15, started too late and never could get the 25 card depth needed. However I did get the RC card in one of the later RC's just to see if I could.
